Hey y'all, my Magda Changelings Primer is finally live! It's been super awesome playing this deck, and I've really enjoyed watching it work despite looking like quite the pile. [[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]] plus a metric ton of Changelings makes for one of the most bizarre yet resilient decks I've piloted in some time, and hopefully it'll capture your heart like it has mine. Hope you like it!
It's like: "Yo, me and these 5 cent vanilla cards from Fallen Empires are here to absolutely OBLITERATE you by dropping my ENTIRE deck filled with the best dragons and artifacts in the game on the board on turn 3"
The deck's combo is extremly consistent but very fragile. It's the type of deck that either wins on turn 3 becuase nobody had responses, wins on turn 5 after it's second combo attempt succeeds or it loses. But man, the reaction from people who have never seen it go off is priceless.
... Miranda loves herself; not anyone else.

When [[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]] sacrifices 5 treasure tokens, and a dragon is played on the battlefield, can the opponent play an instant to remove the dragon? Like an exile or murder, etc before the dragon can be tapped and attacking?
Hey all, just recently spent around $175 on Magda + surplus. Here is a "decklist" because rules: Magda (Let me know if this doesn't work) It's still in the mail so I haven't put it all together yet which is why there is no basic lands. Feel free to look and give suggestions but not the main point of the post. (also note I am on a budget and this is only my 2nd ~real~ deck xD)
So my main goal here is to play solitaire with dwarves and instants/sorcery and then do as much damage as I can with dragons - just generally be very aggro with them. Whatever is in my way hopefully I can just deal damage to with ETB and attack triggers - along with a couple big artifact creatures as support (as well as good ol' [[Maskwood Nexus]])
Now, I've thought a lot about [[Worldgorger Dragon]] and to be honest when I first saw it I got me hot and heavy haha. My friends love board wipes. Pulling it out at instant speed in response would be heaven. I've also thought about using it in on the stack of my own [[Blasphemous Act]] which would also be awesome. However, I understand that it is a very risky thing to do, especially as the player count goes up. If he is on the stack of something that will kill him and that gets countered I could definitely be screwed.
So what do y'all think? Is he worth it even only if I played it once in a blue moon? If so I'd love to hear other combos with him y'all might have (not looking for infinite). Or should I just hone-in on something else? Thanks in advance!
How competitive do you believe the current changeling combo decks are? I am currently on Yawg, but am interested in this list as another creature based combo deck.

It combos off with [[Clock of Omens]], [[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]] and [[Universal Automaton]]. This allows you to pull dragons and artifacts from your deck.
The deck has a backup of a beatdown plan, or winning with [[Grist, the Hunger Tide]] ultimate.
However, it seems super weak to removal. Anybody have experience with the deck?

I want to build a mostly mid-powered deck that uses a few key cards that i have left over from other build projects (Ruby Medallion, Goldspan Dragon, a few Dwarves). So i thought that Magda is a really good choice for that.

Im looking for general feedback. So give me anything that you might think. When it comes to budget, i dont want to invest a lot more into it without taking a roughly equal value out.
Some thoughts about the deck:
- Lands: I did not want to invest in Nykthos, Caverns of Souls, Valakut or any other of the very expensive lands, so this selection allows me some utility without compromising the access to red.
- Ramp: Since this deck is quite expensive at the top end, i wanted some mana rocks which grant me more than the usual 1 mana for 2 CMC. Around 68% of the deck is colorless mana, so these colorless rocks should be quite decent to propel me ahead. With the access to treasures, they should also be quite easily castable.
- Dwarves: Well, this is basically the best selection of dwarves i could reasonable include.
- Treasure: Just a few cards to give more support to treasures, they all should help to get at least one additional activation out of Magda.
- Dragons: The real meat of the deck. Currently i tried to have some alternative wincons (Hellkite Tyrant, Inferno, Thundermaw Hellkite), a bit of control (Steel Hellkite, Scourge, Charmaw) and a bit more Draw and Treasure generation if needed.
- Support: Battlemage's Bracers are really good on any of the Dwarves or Magda herself, Bearded Axe was added to get either Magda a lot of Damage or attach it to Inferno to have a lot easier activation. The Imperial recruiter is just a powerful card here, Taurean Mauler a great addition that grows very quickly and is a great card to turn sideways early on, and last but not last Maskwood, making all dragons into Dwarves and creating additional dwarves if needed.
- Draw: This is quite a light package for a deck like this, but there are a few other cards that help with draw and tutors.
- Control: Just a small package to help deal with the largest threats while building up my own board

Pardon me if I missed something, but has Miranda said where Magda went and I maybe didnโt hear it? I googled it, and sadly the actress who played her has passed away, but Iโm just confused as to whether they addressed it or notโฆshe was such a part of their livesโฆand would NOT approve of Bradyโs shenanigans lol
Kinda a question at a targeted audience, but why is it that the Magda primer has fetch lands? I see sensei's divining top but is that one card reason enough to run them? There's no "special" mountains, all just basics plus this may cause you to play around both Aven Mindcensor and Opposition Agent. I am very very new to the format so please excuse anything that should be common knowledge, I'm still learning :)

So far itโs my favorite hammer, it explodes, it looks nice, and it has decent damage. But poor sharpness, -20% affinity.
Is there any way I could better optimize the Magda Floga? To increase affinity or increase blast damage? Iโve been pondering this for awhile now and I canโt figure it out.
I've said it once and ill say it again. Where is she? Timeline wise it's possible she is dead but sorry no mention of her at all?! No pics I could see in Miranda's house... I feel like Magda would tell Brady he has become a little shit
So Iโve been using the Magda Floga for some time now, and I love it. It has good damage, it looks amazing, and does pretty good blast damage. But it has low sharpness, -20% affinity and itโs chance to actually use the blast damage is super low.
I only need one more thing to upgrade the hammer and Iโm sure itโs probably something from an elder dragon, so what are peoples opinions on it? Is it bad, good, mediocre? Maybe any ways to optimize it a-little better? As of currently the armor I have focuses on health up, defense, affinity, and stun chance on a monster. Oh, and im also using the armor set bonus of the diablos set so I can get more damage because my weapon is always at a low sharpness.
I was really hoping they would have mentioned Magda by now.
I did wonder if they would use Magda dying as a reason for Mirandaโs drinking problem but obviously not now with episode 5 explaining it was just the pandemic/Miranda hates her life.

An Aiden cameo wouldnโt hurt either.
I am first gen German and my oma reminds me so much of Magda. An old school mindset, just wants to tidy up and play with the baby. My favorite moment of her is when Steve tries to show up with his new girlfriend and Miranda hides, tell Magda that she isn't here right now.
Hearing Magda keep repeating, "She is not home," and nothing else made me howl with laughter because it made me think of my oma.
And the vibrator? Lemme say that Magda had that traditional mindset but when she was called into the 21st century, how she set it up later was perfect.
It reminded me when I first moved into a studio apartment, my oma came over to see it and found my bong. It was brand new so I lied and said it was a vase. Later on, I had gotten sick and when she stopped by with soup for me, she cleaned up a bit while I had fever dreams. I eventually woke up to see it on my kitchen counter, with flowers in it. โค๏ธ

I was thinking back to when Magda pushed Alba down the stairs and Petra covered it up for her. This was before Jane and Petra became close, so does anyone think that Petra and Jane would still be so close if Alba died or suffered permanent injuries from the fall? Jane did throw a baby shower for Petra knowing she covered up for her mom, so thoughts on if she'd still want a relationship with her if Alba was seriously hurt?
