I was trying to come up with an idea for a movie focusing on fast food mascots--basically a sequel to my Cereal Robbers idea--and I came across that picture. Putting characters like Ronald McDonald and the Burger King in a setting similar to Goodfellas or The Godfather would make so much sense. And just like in my Cereal Robbers post, the mascots would go to war with each other. Of course, this could be much more brutal.
Its a perfect idea, do a spoof of the naked and afraid XL format/lost parody

Iirc this dude is one of the only cops in his zero crime rural America town. Heβs convinced heβs discovered a plot to murder a beautiful young woman, but no one believes him. He basically kidnaps her for her own protection, and as the movie progresses they discover he was right.
A lot of the gags are based on this metropolitan, sophisticated, beautiful young woman being forced to coexist with this backwoods hick. He thinks heβs protecting her, she thinks heβs a kidnapper.
I felt really stressed and cold sweated for more than 2 hours. My head was exploding from pure frustration while I silenty, helplessly watched the World heading towards its destruction. A truly nightmarish experience of the worst kind: a plausible one.
Don't get me wrong, I think its an awesome movie but those levels of existential dread could turn off people looking for a comedy with a political twist. If you start feeling unconfortable half an hour into the movie, JUST WATCH THE WHOLE THING, because thats exactly what the point. Just be aware is a reflexive movie not a thing to watch chilling with your friends.

Gal-owes humor
I don't remember anything about the movie other than the plot point of the gay mafia having underground meetings, and somehow conspiring against or with the protagonist. It's driving me crazy... please help.
Its a known fact that the mob doesn't like Black People. In fact they refused to let heroin be sold in white neighborhoods, but allowed it in Black neighborhoods, but rappers still dickride the mob, like they would invite them over for dinner.?
This film legit messed me up and kept me up all night.
To reduce the weekly asks about the best <add genre> films in Malayalam, here's an attempt to create individual lists for each genre. The idea is to create a bunch of such lists and then post them on the sidebar. A further goal is to create a wiki but I don't have much time anymore.
Anyway, we'll start with comedy. Just post titles and maybe a one-liner plot outline. Look for duplicates posted by other members. Only serious contributions please.
Hello folks! So Iβm planning on writing a comedy film, quite similar to the premise of Due Date, about an unlikely pairing between two very different characters. I was just wondering - does every film have to have stakes (high or low) in order to grip a viewer? Can anyone think of any films that donβt have much stakes for the main character? This is England is one that springs to mind but I could be wrong. Thanks ππΌ
I direct mad stuff, it's rad. Like music videos, comedy specials, and just generally cool stuff. I love cookies. I'm a mix media director doing all sorts of wild stuff. My animated short, Nuevo Rico just dropped here: https://nuevoricofilm.com/screening-room. My recent comedy specials are βPhoebe Robinson: Sorry, Harriet Tubman,β βAida Rodriguez: Fighting Wordsβ and βMichael Che: Shame The Devil.β Ask me anything about directing and making magic. https://krismerc.tv/ PROOF: https://i.redd.it/xo41ttc248581.jpg
I'm not sure when I saw this movie, but, it must have been over 15 years ago, in a channel that played at night, after Cartoon Network ended transmission, called "TCM". It played mostly classical movies from 1950-1980.
I have only ever seen a reference of it in this sub, from around 8 years ago, and I can't really find it anymore. Not it matters, since it had no answers. Also posted about it last year, but, alas, no success.
This is how the movie basically went:
A man meets a portly and older man, who tells him he is Cupid and invites him to work for him. To convince him, he takes him to a restaurant, and shows him that, while the waitress talks to him, she does not see Cupid.
After he is convinced, Cupid points to a couple, and tells the man that they are to fall in love, and gives him a gun, and there's some banter about how bows and arrow are out of style.
The man stands up, approaches the couple, points the gun at the boyfriend and BANG, cut to black and screams.
We then see the man being put in cuffs by the police, and as he's trying to tell the story about Cupid, he sees him hanging about, talking with the waitress, and calls him crazy.
I've been looking for this movie for years, so I'd be very grateful if anyone can tell me what it is.
Ok, so long ago as kid I watched this Chinese film that was subtitled on I think a Public Access channel because I do not remember any commercials. I don't recall the year the film was made but I know I couldn't really watch it later than 1998.
I caught most of the movie, but not the titled or the full end. So the main chunk I remember watching.
Almost feels like 2 films, but I think the first act was a bit more of a romance than the second which was more comedy and mafia.
But the film is about 2 brothers or friends, who want to join the Chinese mafia. At some point the pair fall in love with the same woman, and she moves into their small apartment. All seems to go well till she breaks up with both of them. She writes a break up letter on the back of the bedroom door, and the 2 guys lie on the bed reading the letter, which is all in red ink, and are like this sucks.
Both are sad for a bit and then try to join the mafia/gang. But they are both massive jinx's and that follows them. The small time boss decides to send them on a death mission to take out a rival boss. Hijinks happen and they manage to take out the guy. Was in like a warehouse surrounded by boxes, and the end the pair is disheveled, on the ground, and high five each other.
I think a small marathon or play of their hijinks are shown as their bad luck ruins others and let's them move up in the mafia/gang. Last scene I remember is them leaving a restaurant, with one in a powdered yellow suit and the other in a powdered baby blue suit, giving other congrats, and then an oh shit look at the folks waiting outside for them.
Past that, I can't remember why I changed the channel. But always wanted to find the movie and finish it.
Canβt believe thereβs not a clip of the dabblers recent gigs.
I guess what I really liked most about this movie, was the bad assness. The entire movie was also so captivating. I wasnβt bored for a second. Can anyone recommend me some other movies like this?
