A list of puns related to "Macedon"
Carthage sends an ultimatum to the Kingdom of Macedon with one request:
Relinquish all diplomatic influence over Athens, and allow them to exist as an entirely independent state, free from Macedonian suzerainty.
If Macedon rejects this proposal, the Mediterranean will be grasped by a war once more, and the King shall be known as a ruthless tyrant who cares more for the enslavement of Greek states than the lives of his own people.
We call Numidia, Rome, Epirus, and Athens to begin mobilising their troops in case Macedon rejects this demand. We Carthaginians will supply most of the troops, funded by Egypt's vast treasury, but any and every troop that you can provide for this cause would be greatly appreciated.

[I'm currently subbing for Macedon because he's off the grid and can't join]
Macedon formally offers a peace treaty to her enemies with the following terms:
The city state of Athens, Achaen League, and City state of Crete will be given independence and be considered free nations able to dictate their future.
The cities on the Anatolian coast including Pergamon will receive Puppet status and be able to the control their domestic policies
Epirus will officially receive the Ionian Islands along with 1000km of lands to be designated as a demilitarized zone.
The coalition and her associated allies will sign a non aggression pact that will last for 10 years.
Both sides agree to not leverage diplomatic pressure nor influence on the freed nations. They must he allowed to decide their direction in the world.
Do you all agree with these terms?
[Also, I'm gonna ask that you guys not mess with Macedon at this time. Guys currently off grid so let him be for now]

Edit: Pontus will receive half of Bithynia bordering them and a payment of 5 million Denars.
Sparta will receive the remaining part of Bithynia along with the Aegean Islands
With armies innumerable lined up at their doorstep, it would only make sense for Macedon to concede now before their men are slaughtered. Therefore, we present them with the following conditions:
-Macedon must concede Euboea, the Aegean islands south of Euboea, the Ionian islands, and a portion of southern mainland Hellas
-Macedon must pay 10 million denarii
-Macedon must give up 100 warships
-Athens must be granted full independence from Macedonian suzerainty
-Macedon must sign 20-year non-aggression pacts with the following states: Carthage, Egypt, Epirus, Athens, Rome
If Macedon chooses to reject this offer of peace, then, rest assured, the ensuing terms shall be much harsher.

What about it? Idk, just wanted to share the fact
The Kingdom of Epirus deploys its full army, comprising of 24,000 infantry and 6,000 cavalry, in an invasion of Macedon. This army launches its invasion in the north-west border and marches south-east towards the capital of Pella, with the cavalry forming a screen to scout forwards and protect from ambush.
With the Macedon army currently in Attica, it falls to the Seleucids to decide how to respond. The Epirote army is not attacking any Seleucid forces in Macedon, but will defend themselves against any aggressor.

Is Alexander in the game? I have civ 6 with both major expansions but can't find him in the list of available civs
I call upon Macedon to aid the Seleucid Empire in our defense against the Ptolemies. These thieves dared to attempt to usurp the throne with the pretender Antiochus. As we speak, our armies have been raised and ships have been assembled to challenge the waves.
If Macedon were to reject this call, remember that we are not so forgiving.

Philip himself was not a bad general at all and heβs the reason that Alexander became what he was. Philip was the one who conquered some areas of land kind of uniting some of Greece and have Alexander possibly the best education anyone seen in hundreds of years. So what do you guys think would have happened?
Though we may find ourselves at war, and those older established states may scoff at us, we are not so barbarous as many believe. Rome needs allies, and desires friends in this turbulent and hostile world. And who better an ally than the nation who bestowed Alexander the Great upon the world?
I shall send some of my finest diplomats, and scholars to the nation as a sign of good faith, along with 4 million denarii, should an alliance between ourselves and macedon be formed.
Due to the slight against our honour that has been dealt against us, it is with a heavy heart that we join the alliance for Athenian independence, against Macedon. May the god's forgive us for this, and the loss of life that will surely come.
We hereby humbly request support in the war from our allies in Athens. This war is another threat by the Egyptian usurpers, that Athens has a duty to help fight. (Sorry for short post, on mobile?
Iβm doing analysis on the campaign right now and I wanted to know you guys thoughts based on your experience playing.
what's the best way to lose on purpose? Any cheesy way of doing it? Any general tips?
I was wondering in which of the nations has better units? From what i could tell, seleucid's seem to have the better choice with the silver shields. Also, in general, which do people prefer.
Their objective is conquer Southern Gaul and connect Barcina to the rest of Rome.
All in all, 50k+ troops are being mobilised. Strong resistance is not expected from the Gauls, they are scattered and weak now. And besides, the quality of our troops is near unparalleled.
Time to transport is 3 months.
Cost is 3 million denarii.
I could have sworn I've read somewhere that Zeus wasn't there main god but my googlefu tells me Zeus was number 1 just like Greece proper? Can some please confirm or deny my delusions?
