Liberty City Puns

Yeah, i know everyone wants Vice, but although southern Florida and Miami is nice, it's not that much different than LA: beaches, sun and drugs. Even if you had multiple cities what is another: Fort Myers? That's it?

There's just so much more posibility with doing Liberty City (with suroundings) again:

• Enormous urban area that's different in each borough with TON of things to do. Map could be huge without just having boring streets to fill up the space.

• 4 seasons that could change periodically in-game. Imagine having summer AND snow in the same game.

• Basically every imaginable crime is present in NYC, not just gangs. From petty drug crimes to big time white collar ones. It has it all.

• Subway you could actually use.

• Tons of shops, restaurants, offices, appartments.

• New York countryside with many small towns, maybe even a small part of Rochester. If they really wanted to push it they could add mountanous West Virginia. Sure it's unrealistic but no one minded that you had a desert next to a forest in GTA SA.

• So much stuff to make fun of: you have every race and ethnic group in one city. The city itself is over the top irl, there't ton of material for satire.

• The city is iconic in every decade. Maybe they could even make the story span from old days to modern times, althpugh that would take enormous effort for a game this size because the city is constantly changing. No offence, but most other US cities have barely changed since the 80s.

There's so much more but this post is already lomg enough. Sure, it was done in GTA IV, but that was 14 years ago at this point. Noone cared that there was only 8 year difference between two Los Santos'.

I mean in this game you have to threaten a union leader, kill the mayor of the city, help some rich guy get into office, and even blow up an entire district, which probably killed a thousand people. Everything you do in this game directly affects Liberty City. Toni's name is even mentioned by the news network.

Compared to San Andreas, the most that happens to the world is the Los Santos riots but that's not even directly caused by you. Most of the things that you do in the storyline only affects the criminal underworld but not the state itself, just like every other games.

So yeah, Liberty City Stories has the largest story in the 3D universe, even larger than San Andreas.

Been playing through GTA IV again after having tried the Trilogy: Definitive Edition, and thought I’d play Episodes from Liberty City again(I originally bought the games on PC), but GTA IV’s DLC isn’t available to purchase off the microsoft store on Xbox One. I tried buying them through the Marketplace option on the menu but that didn’t work either(It said it couldn’t read my card, or that the information wasn’t on there and I had to out money on my microsoft account?). Anyone know what’s up with this? I know the Complete Edition released like a year or so ago on Steam, but its nowhere on the Microsoft store. Can anyone help with this if possible?

The Trilogy is releasing soon and I really want to buy Liberty City Stories. Which one should I get?

Sold as a bundle!

So! The good news is that I was able to find two sets I've wanted a long time - the Robie House and Fallingwater! The bad news is that I was only able to purchase them as part of a bundle (the guy was trying to sell all of his Architecture stuff) and I'm already pretty much at capacity for LEGO stuff. So! Hoping to clear these out at a great price.

Another note here, because I respect this community - the guy had these in a basement away from sun (I picked them up), so there's no damage I can see. All the boxes and instructions are included, unless noted. But, they were clearly on display in a dusty basement, and some of the sets are somewhat dirty. I'm going to run a wet towel over them and see what I can do, but I'd recommend washing them (I wash pretty much all my used LEGO!)... if you don't know how, I can do it for you, but it takes an extra day or two!

No guarantees everything is complete, but I believe it to be (I picked them up assembled, and most had extra pieces in the. box). Currently all sets are partially disassembled (except Venice).

Prices are negotiable and I've really tried to price these to sell. I ship same day (when we aren't being blizzard-ed, anyway!) and provide photos, tracking, etc. I would consider trades for the Farnsworth House, Imperial Hotel, or any cool Ideas or Creator Expert stuff (but my preference is to sell).

I finally started playing GTA Liberty City Stories. Why there s so much hate? I 100% completed the original trilogy on xbox1 in the past, next ended up buying a PSP and tried to play GTA stories series but was annoyed by the shitty PSP controls. After so many years starting to play on PS2, I have an amazing experience. New story, some upgrades to the map. I highly recommend to give it a try!

I think it's not too much of a leap to say that the Trilogy was a pretty big disappointment, but I think Rockstar can and will redeem itself, with a GTA IV remaster if they ever make one. I think if they do, it would be cool if they changed it up a little bit by making the three games all one game in a sense, with character switching just like GTA V. Of course their stories are not as intertwined as the characters of GTA V, but I think it would be still really cool and fun. Also Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony added some cool toys, it would be nice to have all those cool toys and cars in one game rather than having to switch between the subgames like the Trilogy or Complete Edition. Also the three games use different shaders and it would be nice if we had the option to switch between them regardless of character (of course the game would default to the correct shader for each character). Personally, while it might be difficult to implement, I think it will make the game a much more cohesive narrative than it already is, and also would make it new and exciting experience.
