A list of puns related to "Kevin Cadogan"
Does anyone know where I can find the original version of βLovely Problemβ by Kevin Cadogan?! I canβt remember all of the lyrics of the original but it isnβt the one on spotify/apple music (Thousand Yard Stare album).
The lyrics go something like this:
βFrustrated, serrated in the dog house with my best friend spayedβ¦
Youβre a tough one, a strong woman, shoulda ran the moment that I met you. A lovely problem for meβ¦
β¦Maybe I shoulda kept it all inside Maybe I shoulda read more mens magazinesβ¦β
Those are all of the lyrics that I can remember but the tune gets stuck in my head and it drives me crazy!
If anyone knows where I can find this version, please let me know!
Just wondering.. Not trying to be mean.. But I noticed during his early years, he always had his tongue to his side and trying to keep his mouth closed. The recent XEB shows it seems like thereβs a more noticeable ball in his mouth and trying to keep it closed. Maybe thereβs a jaw issue? Iβm not sure but I always wondered.
And it's amazing.
Hey everyone, I collect Kevin Cadoganβs (former guitar player of third eye blinds) old guitars. He sold most of his 3EB guitars on eBay starting back in 2003, and Iβve been looking for his gold sparkle mj mirage. Itβs the last one that i REALLY want. If anyone has it or could point me in the right direction Iβd be greatly appreciative.
Did Kevin tour with 3EB on the Blue tour at all before he was fired? If so, does anyone have any recordings or bootlegs? I watched a few XEB shows already and they play a few but Iβd love to hear some of those songs from the second album with the original band.
I see a lot of love for a lot of guitarists for their unique tones and work in this sub, but I'm surprised I've never seen mention of Kevin Cadogan(Third Eye Blind's original guitarist). Maybe it's because he only stuck around for about three years before being fired in 2000, but then again I see stuff on here all the time about really old guitarists. A lot of 80's and 90's love. But why is Cadogan so special?
First off, his tone is really good imo. The distortion and clean tones on 3EB's first two albums just sound so right. He makes distorted power chords sound very clear, instead of too heavily distorted and noisy. And his Wah technique is incredible. That dude knows how to work the pedal perfectly. "Thanks A Lot," "Graduate," "The Red Summer Sun," and "Jumper" are probably the best examples. Let's not forget some of the cool sounds that I can't even figure out how to replicate. For example, the police siren sound he does during the guitar solo of "1000 Julys" or the all the strange sounds in "I Want You." Truly awesome stuff.
Second, is tunings. Cadogan not only uses a lot of different tunings, but he uses them to their full potential. Every song he does in Open D sounds incredibly unique and creative, despite all basically being in the same key. "The Background" is probably his best use of Open D.
And just look at all the tunings he uses:
DADF#AD(Open D) - a tuning used mostly in blues, but also a scarcely used rock tuning DADEAD(Pelican) - a tuning designed for folk music, which he made a rock song with DADEAC# - I don't even think this one has a name DADGCF - beautiful tones and arpeggio EAEABE(Open asus2) - incredible chords in this one F#ADF#AD - Pretty sure he made this one up F#AC#F#G#E(F#) - Definitely made this one up
I think overall the dude is musical genius and he really brought together the true sound of Third Eye Blind. I can't believe Cadogan gets so under-appreciated for his work. I think he's an amazing guitarist.
Hey Reddit, so I'm a pretty big Third Eye Blind fan, and like any fan of them I really love Kevin Cadogan's style of playing. Ever since Cadogan was fired from the band their sound hasn't been the same; clearly he made Third Eye Blind 50% or more of what it was. I know Cadogan released three solo albums, but they're kind of shitty imo, and they don't really use his tenuous to the max. So I'd like to know: what other guitarists sound or have the style of Kevin Cadogan? I can't get enough of the weird tunings and incredibly original riffs he's used for 3EB, and he's been a huge influence on my own style. So are there any others like him?
Since this band is slated to get the Song vs. Song treatment soon, this seems like a good time to float the question: Was Third Eye Blind's 2003 album Out of the Vein a Trainwreckord?
From 1997 to 2000, Third Eye Blind were one of the biggest bands in existence. Their debut album sold more than 6 million copies and spawned five hits, three of which made the Top 10. 1999's Blue also did respectably well, spawning the fantastic earworm "Never Let You Go" (which hit #1 in Canada!) and going Platinum in the United States. Then...
In 2000, guitarist and co-leader Kevin Cadogan was fired. Kevin had contributed heavily to the hook- and harmony-laden songwriting on the first two records, and the material on Out of the Vein suffered from his lack of input.
The band spent 2001 and early 2002 on hiatus, losing much of the momentum that they had painstakingly built up during the first two album cycles.
Even more momentum was lost when the album's release was offset by delay after inexplicable delay, being pushed back from summer '02 to fall '02 to spring '03. In the meantime, promotional efforts were tabled and wasted. I distinctly remember hearing a radio promo for "Crystal Baller" (as the album was then titled) in July or August 2002, with an except of the title track. Am I the only one who remembers this?
By the time the album finally hit stores, Elektra was in the midst of imploding, and many of its artists were denied effective promotion.
The singles off OOTV utterly stiffed on the charts. "Blinded (When I See You)" couldn't scrape the Top 100. (My hometown radio station played it exactly one time, and I never heard it again.) "Crystal Baller" didn't chart at all.
After the singles failed, the band was rocked by even more corporate foibles: AOL Time Warner spun off its music division into a new entity under Edgar Bronfman, Atlantic completed its absorption of Elektra, and Third Eye Blind were dropped from the roster.
Third Eye Blind basically ceased to exist as a current hit band after 2003. By the end of the decade, they were playing the nostalgia circuit.
But, to what extent were these circumstances and happenings due to Out of the Vein itself? It seems the album was as much a symptom of the band's decline as the cause.

[Going Green β The Drive for Energy Efficiency](https://list.co.uk/event/1459
... keep reading on reddit β‘So it turns out Kevin George (NHS Kenzo) (NHS/CYB/17) got into a shoutout with Demar Cadogan (Queens Drive/300) after they got into a argument at Kenzoβs sons birthday party.
According to everyone at the party, Demar got into a heated argument with Kenzo. Kenzo shot at Demar first hitting him in both his legs and then Demar started shooting back. After a few more people at the party started engaging in the gunfire. It is not confirmed who at the party was shooting at who. Kenzo then fled with a few others in a vehicle. 12 overall shots were fired during the shootout.
It is very possible Demar showed up to the party after he seen Kenzo post his son and the background of the party (Tandridge) on Kenzo snap story. This is not confirmed though, just speculation
Do your worst!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
Theyβre on standbi
Hey all,
I've always been a TEB fan - but this past year with COVID, I really did a deep dive into their discography as I only really knew the big hits. It's amazing - I mean, mainly their old stuff but as I've seen stated here, it just brings me so much joy. I don't know if it's nostalgia? I don't know if it's their catchy lyrics - I guess it could be all of it, but it certainly made me a super fan.
I saw them live back in 2017, or maybe 2018 - at SPAC which is located in Saratoga Springs, NY. It was a great show and the Silversun Pickups opened.
From what I've read about the band in general, they seem notorious for infighting, but like why? What happened? From what I can tell, it seems to be Stephan f'cking people over but maybe I'm wrong?
Anyway, still love their songs and hate to see Stephan is an asshole.
Pilot on me!!
The music-sharing service Napster published a list of several featured artists weekly, with a downloadable song for each. Recently it occurred to me to look for it on the Internet Archive. The main page can be seen here. That's its last snapshot, from March 29, 2003, and it hadn't been updated for a long while before that. The featured music archive can be seen here, from February 7, 2003, and it includes the songs from the main page. This is probably the complete list of Napster's featured music.
I decided to see whether they were all available online:
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
What did 0 say to 8 ?

So What did 3 say to 8 ?

I won't be doing that today!
