hi all

since my exams are over and i submitted all my papers, i've had some free time and put together a new timeline for us here on duggarsnark, it includes everything i could think about, to the best of my knowledge. with that in mind, i am prefacing this with the knowledge that i will have made mistakes in it, please feel free to correct me in the comments if you find an error. so much has happened with so much being revealed, i couldn't get it straight, so here you go. i hope this helps any new snarkers with the basic history of the duggars. if i also have failed to include something lemme know and i'll add it in. in thanks, i want to thank this sub, and the posts on here which helped in putting this together, especially /nuggetsofchicken who helped with the legal breakdowns for the trial timeline, and the faqs which helped with the more mythic aspects of this, i also utilised the fundiewiki a great deal so shout out to them.

• Robert ‘Jim Bob’ Duggar is born on 18/07/1965, in Springdale, Arkansas, to Jimmy Lee "JL" Duggar and Mary Lester. He was the couple's second child. Link

• Michelle Evelyn Ruark was born on September 13th, 1966, to Garrett Floyde Ruark and Ethel Marie Hardin. She was the couple's seventh and final child. Link

I basically wrote this out for myself and decided to share it, haha. I was trying to figure out who is affiliated with what part of ‘the cult’ and how that impacts their beliefs. Please let me know if you think I missed anyone.

‘The Cult’ - IBLP - The Cult Cult

These are the ones that still go to Family Camp, and probably are or will be (when their kids are old enough) in ATI. This group includes Jim Bob and Michelle and the U18s, Anna and the Ms, John and Abbie, Jason, James?, Justin and Claire, the Spiveys, the Wallers, the Burnetts, the Bateses. IBLP now allows women to wear pants if they so choose.

‘The Cult’ - Jim Bob’s payroll - The Family Cult

These are the people Jim Bob pays for or probably pays for, and who seem to align with what he’s doing. This includes Jim Bob and Michelle and the U18s, Anna and the Ms, Jana, John and Abbie, Jessa and Ben, Joe and Kendra (though they may be moving towards the Caldwells), Jed and Katey, Jeremiah, Jason, James, the U18s, Laura DeMaisie, Elijah. Only Jana, Abbie, Jessa, and Laura of this group have been seen to publicly wear pants. Note that John may have some source of income outside of Jim Bob, but otherwise seems to be towing the family line. Josiah and Lauren could fall in this category with regards to their funding, but we’ve barely seen them lately.

‘The Cult’ - Quiverfull - The Fertility Cult

These are the ones breeding an army for Jesus. This includes Jim Bob and Michelle (19), Anna (7 in 13 years), Jessa and Ben (4 in 7 years), Joe and Kendra (3 in 4 years$, Joy and Austin (2 in 4 years) ?, and Jed and Katey (will have 1 in just over 1 year). John and Abbie, Josiah and Lauren, and Justin and Claire may be, but their current spacing is ambiguous. In terms of in-laws/other relevant families: the Kellers, the Wallers, the Burnetts, the Caldwells, the Swansons, the Wissmanns, and the Bateses.

So using this, Joe and Kendra would be in ‘The Cult’ as in JB’s payroll and Quiverfull, but not in IBLP. While John and Abbie are IBLP and on Jim Bob’s payroll, but may not be Quiverfull.

And note that this isn’t to say that Jill/Jinger are free-wheeling liberals, but they aren’t attending IBLP events, they aren’t being paid by Jim Bob or towing his line, and they aren’t trying to pump out as many kids as possible. They have their own set of issues re: their hateful beliefs.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
