I’m hoping my Philadelphia 76ers doesn’t make the idiotic decision of giving Jimmy Butler a 5 year max because of a decent playoff run. It would be a gigantic mistake of the level of Joe Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks. Any team that signs him at age 30 on a max deal will be financially hamstrung for years and will ultimately face mediocrity. He is a good player that has ultimately reached his ceiling and he will only get worse from here. The 76ers maximized his potential and it is time to move on, hopefully with a player of the caliber of a Kawhi Leonard or even a Kemba Walker.
