A list of puns related to "Jennifer Nettles"
How was it!? π
If youβve seen someone else as Jenna, where does she rank?
Not sure if already posted but it appears that Sugarland front woman Jennifer Nettles will take over the starring role in Waitress October 19 through November 24 .
*Please note Jennifer Nettles will not appear in the show from November 1 to November 6.
Sarah opened for Sugarland during their 2011 tour. Here is a video of Jennifer and Sarah performing "Come on Eileen" during that tour:

βI think itβs fantastic. Sheβs had the success sheβs had in order to be the voice that she is. Unfortunately for her, the brighter the spotlight the bigger the target. She means big money to people. When art is pitted up against commerce, thereβs a lot of times a big struggle there,β says Nettles. βI think the message sheβs sending and the fight that sheβs fighting is one that as an artist, not just women, that we all relate to. The reality is this when you pull the curtain back on the music industry, it is not sexy at all β¦ it is actually quite gross.β
Nettles says that itβs the artists who are hurt most when they donβt own their masters.
βWhat has happened in the music world is that the laws where streaming is concerned, the person (or entity) who owns the masters, get the lionβs share, not the artist. And when I say the lionβs share, I mean it is grossly the lionβs share. Itβs parts of pennies to massive amounts of dollars. So then Taylor, in making the change she did and wanting to own her own masters, I can understand why she did it. We all want to do it because the reality is itβs unfair. Labels at the end of the day, if they do their job on the business end, in some ways they can be a bank and in some ways they can be marketers. Thatβs it. But the artists are the people creating the actual content and touching peopleβs hearts.β
She says the disparity leaves many artists disadvantaged, and fully supports Taylorβs mission to make change.
βIt will take a legislative law change where rights and royalties are concerned in order to make a difference for artists,β says Nettles. βAnd the Grammys are doing wonderful work in advocating for artists where thatβs concerned, but the labels, because theyβre tricky and slick, and sometimes dark and backhanded, get in there before the artist does because they realize, βOh wait a minute β¦ if we can set this up this way, weβre going to make a killing.β So thatβs how they set up the laws to be. So yeah, I hear her fight and I support it. At the end of the day, Iβm always going to support the artist. Always.β
