u/nohumidity Thanks for this flower/glitter card for January. I actually prefer this one to a touristy card. I think the photos on touristy cards are always so photoshopped and filtered. You're right, there is a lot of talk and a lot of books about mindfulness, hygge, sisu... but in the end we have to just come to terms with ourselves and accept the things we can't change I guess.

I changed from a BCBS Michigan PPO without HSA to an HDHP with HSA, effective today, during employer’s open enrollment period.

BCBSM website still reflects the old plan, and I’m in need of proof of the new plan to open up my HSA (small employer, they aren’t super hands on with this stuff).

I would think the change would show effective already online, but perhaps it delayed? Perhaps our administrator didn’t actually apply the change we made in the BCBS portal?

Would this normally show live right at 12:01 on 1/1?

This year, the holiday season has been so fun because my son has an intense amount of holiday spirit. He LOVES decorations. We just walk around the neighborhood looking at people’s lights and inflatables, and it blows his mind. He dances, he waves, and he looks for Christmas everywhere we go.

I have been so sad thinking about how lame it’s going to be when people begin to take their stuff down and the world becomes unfestive again. My son is going to be so so disappointed to see all his Santa and snowmen friends gone, and when we pass by his usual spots but there’s nothing there, he’ll be so bummed!

I need to start a petition for society to decide on another holiday where we go all out with big themed decorations. Halloween and Christmas are too long of a wait! For example, in 2020, I left my Christmas lights in living room up til about April and called them my Spring Lights 😬
