I'm from jammu region and stuck with BSNL BROADBAND which just sucks! and i can't even imagine the plight of an average Kashmiri without internet at all! so many businesses are suffering, the state is in economic ruins due to this - every day there's some protest against this internet restriction ( covered by local media ) but the national media and citizens don't care at all! they rather rejoice in the fact we are suffering! without any knowledge of the reasons ( which are mostly political ) and have almost nothing to do with terrorism atleast in the Jammu region! it's so true that democracy is dying in this country day by day! our rights mean nothing at all, anybody can come into power and play with the lives of an average citizen citing an awful excuse of NATIONAL SECURITY! i cannot express how angry i am at this country for being what it is at the moment, it's sad, and it's beyond sad.

Recently there are debates in Pakistan to make them 5th province. Very controversial topic. But the interesting thing is that majority of the people from Gilgit-Baltistan who actively demand representation in Pakistan National Assembly and want to ‘separate’ from Kashmir Issue, and they want more autonomy like Indian States or Pakistani provinces.
There are some who want Independent Balwaristan and some who see their future with India or Kashmir equally likely.
It is sad that this was the only region who actually fought for their independence ‘from Hari Singhs forces’ and later failed to become truly part of Pakistan. It’s legal status is stuck in a limbo. They want to disassociate themselves from all India Pakistan and Kashmir issue.
Look at it like how Ladakh is separate from Jammu and Kashmir. And how people deserve right of self determination and association or stuff.
