Jack Welker Puns

Hypothetical scenario: Mike Ehrmantraut, on a mission to save Jesse Pinkman from his imprisonment, infiltrates the Jack Welker gang's hideout.

Mike successfully eliminated several cartel gunmen at a warehouse in S3E13 to save Mr. Chow. Given that he's a former cop, he's highly skilled with firearms and being stealthy.

Jack Welker and his men (along with Todd), however, outnumber those cartel gunmen, and are also armed to the teeth with military grade weaponry (automatic and semiautomatic assault rifles, shotguns, etc etc).

Would Mike be able to wipe them all out in this scenario, or would Todd, Uncle Jack, and his men have the upper hand? What do you think and why?

I just remembered Walter coming up to jack and jack trying to negotiate with him telling him he would never know where his money is before Walter shot him in the head it reminds me of Hanks death where Walt tried to convince Jack with all his money but he shot his brother anways in the dessert in he didnt even hestitate to shoot him kinda intresting to see how Walt always wins in the end

In an alternate universe where Saul failed to talk Walt down from hiring an assassin to kill Gus, he looks through all of Saul's connections trying to find anyone who could do it when he eventually finds one Todd Alquist.

Gus wins if all the nazis are killed, and Jack Welker wins if only Gus is killed.

My theory is that Vince Gilligan added a nazi gang for the sake of the word play, i.e. "White Power Gang" = "Walter White's power". Also Walter was the one who destroyed himself and his empire, his empire = his power, and he was the one who wiped out Jack Welker's gang.

R1: 10 Mercenaries get sent to Jacks hideout and they have knowledge that they are coming

R2: Helicopter hit on Jacks gang

R3: Jack and his gang attack the Merryweather base

R4: Shootout happens out of nowhere

When Todd mentions about his uncle's connections doesn't Mike confirm to Walt that Jack is whatever Jack is?

So Mike has to be aware of Jack's crew before the events of BB. I'm probably betting Mike will to run into Jack at some point in BCS and maybe in relation with Lalo as well. If you had the choice to involve Jack in BCS how'd you do it?

In a tag-team fist fight to the death, who would win? The good guys, Jesse and Mike, or the evil uncle/nephew team, Todd and Jack?

Why did they continue to cook meth after stealing most of Walter's money? Surely they now had enough to last them a lifetime?

Edit: I know Todd had a crush on Lydia, but that really seems like a thin reason to take such a massive risk on an ongoing basis, at least as a sole reason.

The guy appears at about 1:20 in the video, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's the same guy.

Were Jack and his gang based off of any actual members of the Aryan Brotherhood, or were they completely fictional characters created specifically for Breaking Bad?

(Hey before we get started I'd like to thank everyone who was so kind in their responses to my first post on NBC's 1991 line-up. This one I thought was going to be a simple story of a mockbuster but hoo-boy did I find a rabbit hole. Enjoy!)

With their use of rotoscope animation, painted backgrounds, and let's face it herky-jerky character movement, Filmation made cartoons that were instantly recognizable to Gen X-ers and older Millennials. The studio first made a name for itself in the 1960s with hit programs like “The New Adventures of Superman'' and “The Archie Show.” Over the course of the 70s the studio would continue to keep going with such shows as “Star Trek: The Animated Series,” “Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids,” and “The New Adventures of Flash Gordon.” They would also experiment in live action programming such as 1974's “Shazam!” adaptation. During this time they would also produce theatrical movies 1974's “Treasure Island'' and 1974's “Oliver Twist.”

However Filmation's greatest success came in the early 1980s with “He-Man & The Masters of the Universe.” The show would run for 130 episodes which was twice the run of a typical syndicated cartoon from that time. Furthermore He-Man was a cultural phenomenon well beyond the toys and cartoons. The show would inspire comic books, a live stage tour a live stage tour, a girl-centric spin-off “She-Ra,” a theatrical animated movie “Secret of the Sword,” and even a 1987 live-action film starring Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella. (A film whose rather troubled production could feed another thread...)

Yet seemingly at the peak of their power Filmation would begin a sudden and inescapable decline. One that perhaps wouldn't have happened without a suspiciously familiar puppet's pseudo-sequel. But before we talk about that we have to discuss Filmation and Mattel's failed follow-up to He-Man. “She-Ra: The Princess of Power '' was never quite the franchise player her brother was in ratings or toy sales but still managed to run a respectable 93 episodes (again remember most syndicated shows ran for 65 episodes.) I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Dollman vs Demonic Toys is not only a crossover between Dollman and Demonic Toys, but Bad Channels as well. Basically the Demonic Toys against Judith (from the original Demonic Toys), Brick Bardo (from Dollman), and a still shrunken Nurse Ginger (from Bad Channels). So this should be good right? Again, Charles Band decides to do another movie that is primarily a clip show.

MY THOUGHTS

You’ll love it! It’s really gonna tear you up.–Baby Oopsy-Daisy

There’s only about four kills (not including the toys). Nothing really graphic or outstanding. It’s unfortunate Tracy Scoggins’ Judith dies (or fortunate for the actress). It felt like she should have had a better death. She just gets killed by Mr. Static.

Tracy Scoggins doesn’t seem to have a huge role in the movie. It was nice seeing Tim Thomerson reprise his role as Brick Bardo from Dollman. Then again I’ll watch Tim Thomerson in anything. I have to mention Phil Fondacaro from many, many genre movies. He is also a fun watch. I remember first seeing him in Under the Rainbow many years ago. Again, it’s a Full Moon Entertainment movie so don’t expect Oscar worthy performances.

As far as the demonic toys, they left out Grizzly Teddy which is a shame. I like him. But they did add Zombietoid, a blonde G.I. Joe type of toy with a sword as a weapon. This is the only movie Zombietoid appears in. As long as they keep Baby Oopsie Daisy and Jack Attack I’ll keep watching them.

To say this is even a movie is stretching it. Most of the movie is clips from Dollman, Bad Channels, and Demonic Toys. And this is why Tracy Scoggins is hardly in it. The clips were cool. I haven’t seen Dollman or Bad Channels in awhile. It makes me want to re-watch them soon.
