Dopa - My legacy

This post is a translation of a video that Dopa put up on his channel after the end of S11. As many of you already know, he failed to claim rank 1, and these are his thoughts on the subject. A translation already exists on r/leagueoflegends, but while it got his words across, I thought that some of his tones/intentions were lost, so I decided to make this post.

video link

‘Rank 1’

Who is the rank 1 solo queue player? Who ‘owns’ the rank 1 spot? The current rank 1 on the ladder? They might be rank 1, but does that mean that they’re the best player on the server? The way I see it, no. From season 3 up until season 8, I was the rank 1 player. The rank 1 spot belonged to me - I was the sole owner. The actual rank 1 spot passed through countless different hands, but nevertheless, it always belonged to me. Others may have had possession of the spot, but they only had it because I allowed it. If I wanted it back, I could go and take it anytime I pleased. It was like taking a walk in the park. With enough games, I knew that I would inevitably reclaim the rank 1 spot for myself. If I wanted it, there was no one out there who could stop me.

Up until season 8, I didn’t really care what anybody said about the methods I used to reclaim the rank one seat. The spot was mine, and always mine. Everything else I did was just a way to reduce the time needed to reclaim the throne. I didn’t avoid certain circumstances because I thought I would lose, but because it would take more time to claim the rank 1 spot. I knew that I was the rank one player, so anything anybody else said was irrelevant. I would claim the spot once every season to prove that it still belonged to me, and I preferred doing it in less time.

S9 - Chovy & Showmaker

That changed in season 9. That’s when Chovy and Showmaker showed up. Up until then, I was confident that I was better than every other solo queue player out there. But when I played against them, I didn’t have the upper hand. I wasn’t worse than them, but I wasn’t any better either. I was no longer the sole owner of the ‘rank 1’ spot. Still, back in S9, I could play against Chovy and SM and consistently go even. It was around August in S10 that I realized that they had surpassed me. I noticed a pattern – whenever I played against Showmaker or Chovy, I would get shit on. I would get mid gapped. In S10, I no longer had a stake in the rank 1 spot. It belonged to them. Howe

My Boomer Dad shared his unsolicited view on labor issues in the US at breakfast this morning

My father, a 72 yr old retired school teacher, shared the following at breakfast this morning:

  • the reason people don't stay at jobs for a long time anymore is because the only way they can get raises is to change companies
  • in his day, when a company did well, that profit was shared with the employees. Today, "the fucking evil business owners" keep it all for themselves
  • the US education system is designed to condition us to the bullshit work expectations that exist today (he says this started in 1963)
  • the US education system is inherently and intentionally racist

I love my Dad.

Edits/updates:

  1. my Dad is so grateful for all your kind words and all the hugs. He got all bashful when I started reading your responses to him. He's a wine drinker, so rest assured I'll be picking up a few bottles of wine for him on behalf of the r/antiwork community.

  2. I use the term "Boomer" to describe the Baby Boomer generation, which is what I was taught to call them growing up. My Dad refers to his generation as "Boomers" as well. This is not necessarily a derogatory term.

  3. the 1963 thing - this is kind of complex, so I'll do my best to reiterate what he said. In 1957, the Soviets launched Sputnik and the US lost its shit. All the sudden every American, politicians included, was convinced the Soviets had surpassed us in science and technology. The response was a swift and sizable Congressional budget increase for education. This effort had two parts - the first to build a bunch of new schools and the second to standardize curriculum. By the time the schools were built and the new curriculum was set, it was 1963. This standardization of curriculum is where the problems started. Schools had previously been able to set their own curriculum, so depending on which school you went to, your curriculum could be completely different than what your friend was taught. The result was a much wider set of information that was being communicated out across the country, so people would discuss differences in what they had learned in school. You know, they would share and debate. When the standardization took place, the curriculum became narrow and prescribed. It became less about creative thinking and problem solving and more about showing up and memorizing what you were told to memorize. My Dad didn't buy into this as a teacher and would teach what he wanted how he wanted. He was actually chastised by a colleague one time because he gave an essay test asking for his st

Why I sold my Tesla Model 3 Performance & went back to gas

I owned a 2019 Tesla Model 3 Performance for roughly two years and 15,000 miles. I'm going to distill my key learnings and experiences here, in an attempt to educate others on EVs and reach some form of closure. My ownership could best be summed-up as a love/hate relationship, ending with crazy used car values offering me the out I'd been quietly seeking. Clearly, I decided EVs aren't for me - at least, not yet. I'm not a "paid big oil shill" or someone who's trying to short the stock, as I'm sure some of the Tesla nuts will claim. I'm just a car enthusiast (disclaimer: not an engineer) standing at the same crossroads as the rest of you, wondering what sounds future children will make long after (if?) our beloved bureaucrats outlaw the ICE.

Everything I'm writing here is based on my own unique tastes and preferences. How the pros and cons balance out at the end is entirely up to you. And that's fine. Choice is great. Note that this post centers on Battery EVs (BEVs) at the time of this writing, which comprise the vast majority of EVs on the road today.

And yeah. This got way longer than I anticipated. But it was cathartic for me and I hope it's at least somewhat useful to someone out there.

EV performance & its accessibility

I'll start with what ultimately sold me on the car - Immense, instant power. The war in the "pure acceleration" category is pretty much over - just take a look at Jason Cammisa's video with the Model S Plaid vs. the BMW M5 CS and Cadillac Crazy. They're not even on the same planet. Not only is the acceleration brutal, but it's consistent (everything else held constant - more on that later). Look up any number of 0 - 60 videos on YouTube, and you'll notice that the times are all remarkably close, especially if there are multiple runs in the same video.

And how could they not be? Software and traction control are fundamental to EV operation. Adjustments take mere milliseconds. The amount of "stuff" involved between your right foot and the tires is a joke compared to an ICE car. And it's basically idiot-proof - even with the Track Mode dialed to 100% hoon in my TM3P, it was nearly impossible to make a mistake. You just put your foot down and the car takes care of the rest, with literally zero drama.

Electric motors are great

And all of this performance comes with no mechanical sympathy. I never felt an ounce of it, flogging my Model 3 - there's really nothing to "break" mechanically in the way of the drivetrain. The ent

GameStop - A Fundamental Analysis & NFT Market Analysis

Hi Apes!

I am excited to share my research on GameStop! This is not investment advice as I have a smooth brain! Buy, hold, DRS (I haven't seen enough purple circles recently!). I hope my research sheds light on the current state of the NFT market and how GameStop's NFT Marketplace could impact the business and overall market.

Abstract

My price target of $1013/share implies a 562% upside from its current share price (my price target is based on fundamental analysis outside of any MOASS considerations - my personal floor is infinity pool). I believe the market does not appreciate the potential value associated with GME’s ecommerce transition and NFT marketplace release and considers it a traditional brick & mortar retailer.

Relying on previously released due diligence reports (SuperStonk & Gmedd.com), and my own research, I believe GME’s share price is being actively manipulated preventing it from realizing it’s true value.

GME is a significant player in multiple industries: video game/consumer electronics, video game hardware/software, and projected to be a dominant player in the NFT marketplace vertical. I believe GME’s products and pricing are superior to competitors and the company is building valuable ecosystems that makes their core brand more valuable and sticker through their new NFT marketplace.

I project the total addressable market for GME’s NFT Marketplace to reach $85b in 2022 and $125b in 2023.

While GME struggled during COVID, the company’s transition led by Chairman Ryan Cohen and new CEO Matt Furlong position the brand to grow significantly in 2022 and beyond.

Company Background

GameStop (GME) is a reseller of video game hardware and software products through their network of 4800+ stores. GameStop sells products in multiple geographies including North America, Europe, and Australia. GameStop has recently rebranded foreign locations from EB Games to GameStop, creating a consistent brand across multiple geographies.

GameStop experienced a squeeze in January 2021 driven by retail FOMO. This is indicative of strong retail interest and a base of loyal shareholders with a long-term investment horizon aligned with GME’s transformation strategy. Meaning these shareholders will not sell before or potentially even after GME has successfully transformed, creating a share price floor and reducing risk.

GameStop’s board and executive team has undergone a transition in 2020 and 2021. GME’s new chairman, Ryan Cohen, has

Can 2022 be an even bigger crypto year than 2021?

By pretty much all measures — from celebrities like Jimmy Fallon and Jay-Z “aping” into NFT projects to a group of strangers almost buying the constitution —  2021 was the year that crypto finally broke into the mainstream. Over the course of the year, the number of crypto users spiked from 100 million to more than 300 million, Beeple crushed art-world records with his $69 millon sale, and even previously skeptical banks like J.P. Morgan began offering wealthy clients crypto investment options. Is there any chance 2022 can compete? Here are a few key trends we’re watching in the new year.

Pop culture’s obsession with NFTs will intensify. Did you think the first month of 2022 would include a drop date for an Ozzy Osbourne NFT project called “CryptoBatz?” Neither did we! It’s unclear how many more collections of pixelated animals the $23 billion NFT market can sustain, but CryptoBatz’ Twitter feed has already surpassed 37,000 followers. And there’s no sign that mainstream artists are losing interest in the trend. The start of 2022 also saw Eminem hop into the NFT space, buying a Bored Ape Yacht Club avatar that happens to be rocking his signature army cap.

Brands will begin marketing in (and building) the metaverse. Most people seem to agree that the metaverse will one day evolve into an all-encompassing, persistent virtual world, where you can work, game, and socialize — sort of like the one that Ready Player One imagines. Plenty of big brands (like Meta, formerly Facebook) and institutions see massive opportunities by getting in early. Analysts at Morgan Stanley agree — they envision the metaverse market topping $57 billion within a decade. Nike, Adidas, Samsung, and Budweiser are among corporate early adopters. Nike’s recent acquisition of virtual fashion brand RTFKT sets the sneaker giant up for major metaverse moves in 2022.

Major video game publishers will explore blockchain gaming. On the first day of 2022, Final Fantasy developer Square Enix published a letter signaling its intention to explore NFTs and blockchain gaming. Noting the “play-to-earn” model that Axie Infinity helped pioneer, Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda described the next phase of gaming as “play-to-contribute,” in which gamers who want to create or build within game universes are rewarded. He notes: “a wide variety of motivations will inspire people to engage with games and connect with one another. It is blockchain-based tokens that will enable this.”

Why it matters… At t

Part V: Deja Vu

So now what you've all been waiting for...

Section 1: A Look Forward

Quick Recap

  • We own the float
  • The November - January cycle has not one but three ETF gamma exposure dates, two of which represent the largest amount of exposure on GME throughout the entire year
  • GameStop is significantly more illiquid now than last January the buying, holding, and registering of the float have pushed the bid/ask spread on GME to the limits and the stock is ripe for a squeeze
  • This illiquidity means when MM, APs, and SHFs need liquidity to hedge massive price movements there is none available at market
  • Retail owning open contracts forces the MM to hedge. If they do not and those contracts are pushed into the money, and/or exercised there are no shares available for them to deliver. They must increase the price to create liquidity (supply held means demand must be raised)

We are about to enter another November - January cycle so let's look at what we can expect if the mechanics at play this last year hold true.

Let's first look at what could happen if they roll.

ROLL CYCLE

Possible Nov - Jan Roll Cycle

FAIL CYCLE

Possible Nov - Jan Fail Cycle

A day-by-day repeat of last Nov - Jan cycle, scaled to current price.

January 2020 on repeat

Smooth Version

Simple breakdown of Roll V. Fail

*^(* These price targets are theoretical, upwards movement on GME is difficult to predict because of the wide bid/ask spread. These examples are to show movement only. At any point during this outside factors like FOMO, announcements from GameStop, or regulation could accelerate the process. This simply defines the movements expected on GME due to the underlying market mecha

Naruto Uzumaki is a beacon of perseverance...for whom things weirdly work out sometimes and who most of the time wasn't put in situations where he would have to make a tough choice or go through some inner conflict, because the story chickened out on such things - even if there was foreshadowing.

Let me preface this by saying that i KNOW this is shounen. It's not supposed to be overly deep or realistic, and i shouldn't look for some sort of inner conflict type of story that most of humans go through in their lives. Having said that, some parts of this story kind of rile me up when i think about them. I'll address both the "things weirdly working out" and "most of the time not being in situations that demand a tough choice" parts, through some examples.

First example, or "things weirdly working out" part: At the beginning of Great Ninja War, when Naruto realizes what is happening in the world and when he, in true Naruto fashion, decides to rush out and help his friends and comrades - he says with utmost belief in himself : "I will stop this war by myself." Not knowing a fucking thing about what, or whom he is facing. Kind of understanding why his friends decided to keep him secluded, but still going out despite that. At that point I can only imagine that he thought to himself "I'll walk up right to Madara Uchiha, fight him with all I got, and save my friends." I don't think that for even a second he told himself "Maybe me being right at the helm of battle, fighting the guy who already has seven of the nine Tailed Beasts sealed and ready for his fucked up plan and who could do the same to me - especially since I will be at the forefront, might be risky for my friends and the whole world."

So by going out to save his friends and comrades and the world against all odds, which is completely in line with his character, he endangers them all. Just by being there. That is a fact which the story has been telling us. And all of that risk never really goes into play, because if it did Naruto anime/manga would have one bleak ending. Now, that wouldn't be that much of a problem if not for how that risk was surpassed: Sasuke, who last time he saw Naruto promised to kill him and destroy Konoha, coming to help out of nowhere in the middle of the battle, which is the result of the chain of events I'll talk about later. Without him Naruto and everyone else would be trapped in Infinite Tsukuyomi and remain like that. What's even worse is Naruto is like "I wondered when you will show up." in a very confident tone like he knew Sasuke would show up ready to help them. MOTHERFUCKER, he promised to fight and kill you and were it not for him very conveniently meeting his reanimated brother in the middle of the fucking woods you two would most likely be fighting o

We’ve reached 590 expertise on all items and here is our constructive feedback and recommendation on current game issues

The issue with end-game PvE content
Background and introduction

My friends and I love completing challenging end-game content. From doing Endless Tower in Ragnarok Online when we were teenagers to Mythic Raiding in World of Warcraft in our mid-twenties, for every game we have played extensively, we have always enjoyed reaping the rewards of being a top PvE player.

On September 28, 2021 we embarked on a new journey into New World with one goal in mind – to be the most accomplished PvE players on our server. To accomplish this, we grinded for over 16 hours per day to achieve the end game content as fast as possible and use that position to place ourselves in a manner that would allow us to be ready for whatever content came next.

Instead of detailing our path here, we will outline below what we have accomplished in the past 42 Days and 13 Hours of played (Screenshot #3) time and outline the issues regarding each point.

Issue #1 Expertise (previous HWM system) and crafted items:

To put it short, we like killing monsters. We do not enjoy searching for resources and crafting items but we do respect those that do as we believe the game should have multiple options for end-game farming and progression.

We have achieved 590 expertise on all items (yes, including all accessories, refer to Screenshot #1) and thus allowing us to drop 600 legendaries for all item slots; however, we believe that the reward system for players like us who enjoy PvE’ing instead of crafting is currently unbalanced. As explained in example #1 below, this issue has further exacerbated with the new patch and the additions of the Timeless Shards.

Example #1: Ring Expertise vs Crafted Rings

We have reached 590 expertise on Ring item slot and the rewards for this is that it allows us to drop 600 “named” legendary items from dungeons and named monsters in the Open World as well as dropping 600 “Old Ring” from Elite Chests on high-level zones. We first got 590 Expertise on Ring two weeks ago (well before the update for Timeless Shards), so it is safe to say that this has taken us approximately 30 days of hard-core elite farming and expedition running to achieve.

Now, I know of several players on our servers who play significantly less than we do and could craft a legendary accessory with less than 20 days of played time. With the addition of the Timeless Shards, they can now have an easier time crafting a legendary accessory with perfect rolls. Meanwhile, our te

Kiyotaka's , Kei's and Honami's relationship summary ( long post )

So there have been a lot of stupid theories lately which blatantly misinterpret some very obvious things from the story , and this post can also serve as a reference to any future repeatedly raised questions ( hope so ) instead of it devolving into a flame war as usual , and it could also reduce a lot of repetitive arguments from taking place. I'll be summarizing the relationship between Kiyo and Kei/Honami from the beginning and explaining details/analysing characters , so you can read on if you're interested in some parts that you may have missed on catching. Beware though , wall of text incoming.

Starting with Kei , as we know , their relationship started in V4. Kiyo's original intent for approaching Kei the way he did was out of self-protection instinct. Cause he was being blackmailed by Sae in V3 , forced into helping his class. As a result he devised a plan , painted Ryuen as the target he needs to defeat right after he made his moves in the island exam. He had anticipated that Ryuen would try to probe Horikita in V4 , and the resulting plans were all part of Kiyo's intention to guide Ryuen on the path to collide head on with him in V7 by making Kei as the bait , as he himself said it.

Now for Kei , the reasons behind whatever she did uptil V4 , was so that she could create the image of a strong person to ward off potential bullies from targetting her. She had a trauma from bullying in her middle school , and as that trauma left her vulnerable and unable to do anything against intimidation , it could provide opportunity for other girls to bully her after seeing her like that. In order to prevent that , she donned the bossy/bitch persona , and made sure that she kept all the girls with troublesome personalities close to her. As she herself stated , it didn't matter if others hated her , she didn't need youth or friends as long as she could protect herself. Most of Kei's close friends , as mentioned , were girls who could potentially bully others. She kept them near her so that they don't target her , which could result in her trauma being triggered , leading to her facade falling apart. Their class , in contrast to Ichinose's class , is full of girls with bad personalities like that. She used Hirata as a medium to climb up the hierarchy in order to achieve this.

Then comes V4. Kiyo noticed how her trauma triggered when she was subject to intimidation , and upon further information , set her up for bullying at Manabe's hands. She is left broken

Help!! My essay is 99 words over the limit 🥺🥺🥺🥺any ideas to cut it down???? I’ve tried everything!

According to our Board of Trustees, “Institutions such as Pomona College should prepare their graduates to lead lives of creative leadership and exemplary service.” How do you hope to use the knowledge you will gain in college to impact something greater than yourself, such as your family, neighborhood, community, city or society? (200 words)

Forthwith, having obtained the multitude of numerous plethoras of knowledge with which Pomona College endeavors to most effusively grace its students, I aver that I must not forsake this mission, ordained to me by powers greater than those a mere mortal may even attempt to conjure up in his imagination, that is to undertake a mission of unreciprocated benevolence and unrivalled philanthropy. Armed with cognition far surpassing my previously held mental capacity as a result of unprecedented exposure to magnanimously bestowed insight into those of our Creator’s multifarious designs that compose the superstructure of the physical and metaphysical realm, I, the individual of concern to thee, do solemnly declare an abject and self-abnegatory intention to manifest in my physical and metaphorical environs an atmosphere of goodwill and to carry forth the inimitable lessons now emanating forth from the very center of my body and soul.

The unit of personages, having once been dubbed a family by those individuals and groups who would dictate laws of dialect to the hoi polloi in eons past and henceforth ascribed this name for the rest of eternity and even beyond, contains within it wondrous capacities for the absorption of the awe-inspiring machinations of a newly minted scholar of such a caliber that Pomona seldom fails to produce.

As to those considerations that proceed from analysis of such social structures as communities, cities, and societies-classifications which, by the assessment of my and numerous reputed scholars' bodies of work, fail to adequately address the undeniable statement of veracity that accompanies all facets of life and living that hereby and forevermore proceeds as follows, regarding the truth that individuals such as I and others who may be considered under similar classifications, and even those yet to have miraculously emerged into existence, are living in a society.

u/rightwherey0uleftme helped me write this essay, did she do a good job?? 🥺🥺

I find it strange how Yuta is underestimated and undermined in this sub.

I've recently discovered this sub-reddit and I love seeing the discussions surrounding what's going on in the current storyline. But I guess I came here to post now because I've noticed how there is so much discourse around Yuta's standing in the story, especially since he was the prequel's protagonist.

Theories talking about how Yuta is going to die in this Culling Game or a potential future arc because "he has completed his goal in exorcising Rika and no longer adds to the story, so is prime for Gege to kill him off." Discussions about how he was "nerfed" despite us never seeing that even in the main storyline. Even the discussion around being "the next Gojo." Kenjaku objects to this simply because he sees nothing special about Yuta and he believes his endless curse energy reserves and ability to copy techniques is due to binding Rika's soul to his, not from him. It really paints this weird picture surrounding the arguments of whether Yuta is able to also grow as a character and as a combatant when there's no concrete picture of how to view him.

I understand that Yuta is not the protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen's main story, Yuji is. Yet at the same time, it's personally strange to think that as a character, people speculate he doesn't have anything else to do in the story outside being a mentor figure and have room to grow or learn more about his motivations. One of the reasons he was overseas in Africa was to find black rope, but we now know he also used his time in Africa to train with Miguel as he learned battle tactics from him. We don't know what else he did yet. Or the fact he entered JJK High completely oblivious to the world of jujutsu and in less than a year went from a clueless student to a sorcerer capable of combating Suguru Geto with the limited training he had from Maki and presumably Gojo. And after Rika was released from the curse binding her to him, he went down to 4th Grade only to reclaim his rank as a Special Grade, so something is clearly up with his powers and cursed technique "Rika", which we still know very little about. He seems to have a goal in mind as Panda implies there is something Yuta is trying to achieve, so there may be more to his visit to Africa with Miguel or a different objective he's trying to achieve altogether.

And this may be a hot take,

Why GMing Is Unpopular

Recently, a post on this sub posed a simple question: How can the community make more people want to DM? It's not an easy question to answer, but it is one I think about a lot as someone who runs two (sometimes three) games a week - so I figured why not give my two cents (and yes, I'm aware of the post about not responding to posts with posts and generally agree, but this is long af, so).

I want to explore why GMing isn't more popular as-is and follow up with suggestions the community or potential GMs may find helpful in making the role easier to access. This is far from an in-depth exploration of this topic, but hopefully, some will find it useful as an overview.

5e Is Hard to GM. Like, Really Hard.

When I tell other GMs I run more than one game a week, they usually follow up by asking how prep doesn't monopolize my whole week. The answer is pretty simple: I don't run 5e, because 5e is hard as fuck to GM.

Although 5e is an awesome, jack-of-all trades system for players with a lot of versatility, it places a huge amount of responsibility on the GM. While 5e is seen as the default "introductory" system for most players, I'd actually argue it's one of the hardest games to GM efficiently.

I run my games in Pathfinder Second Edition and Worlds Without Number, and both are leagues easier to prep for and actually GM than 5e, albeit in different ways. Let's look at some of the reasons why 5e is difficult to run:

  • The books are poorly organized. You never know how many pages you'll need to jump between to answer a simple question, and it's tedious. The fact that most books released in recent years were aimed at players instead of GMs also makes the GM role feel less supported than it deserves.
  • The lore of the Forgotten Realms is difficult to parse, and most official adventures don't continue past lower levels. As a result, making a game in the base Forgotten Realms setting is challenging, so many GMs will want to homebrew something or run a game in another official setting. While that's not terrible, it does mean contributing more effort or money to the hobby, which is just another barrier for new GMs to surpass. You'll also need to diverge from official adventures eventually if you want to run a 1-20 campaign (unless you want to use Dungeon of the Mad Mage, but c'mon).
  • Combat is difficult to design and run. Creature ratings a

How Indonesia Sees the Philippines and Impact of the New Capital on the Philippines

INTRODUCTION

This post will be another in a series of posts about the Philippines and Indonesia. The first post was How Indonesia and the Philippines Define and Organize Ethnicity. This post is more geopolitical and economic-focused.

The purpose of this post is to examine how the Indonesian elite, political and economic, see the Philippines, and the impact of Indonesia's new capital on the Philippines. Here is a map with the location of the new capital, and a post explaining why Indonesia is moving its capital, Indonesia’s New Capital: New Nusantarian Era?

https://preview.redd.it/u4o02ppmcra81.jpg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=651be73320b081d5b605e442e9cc646a73b8e362

There are four main points of this post are:

  1. The Indonesian state sees Filipinos as kindred spirits, largely because Indonesia and the Philippines are large suppliers of overseas migrant labor. In addition, it views Filipinos through Indonesia's ethnic-cultural framework.
  2. Based on the total number of civil servants assigned to the new capital, the final population of the new capital will be much larger than the projection circulating in the media. This means the impact will be much larger than anticipated for Indonesia and the Philippines.
  3. The Philippines is militarily significant for Indonesia because it was the main invasion route used by the Japanese to invade the Dutch East Indies during the Second World War. Security presence in the Celebes-Sulu area will be increased sharply once the capital has been moved.
  4. The Philippines is a major export and investment destination for Indonesian companies. The hope is the new capital will spur the creation of a north-south economic corridor that stretches from Beijing/Seoul to East Java/Central Java. The Philippines will benefit not just from closer ties with Indonesia, but also increased economic and trade flowing from North Asia through this corridor.

Since the fall of Suharto in 1998, there has been an intensification of Indonesian activity in the Indonesian provinces adjacent to the Philippines. As explained in [Indonesia’s New Capital: New Nusantarian Era?](https://www.reddit.com/r/IntlScholars/comments/

Out of Cruel Space, Part 220

A Scion of Many Worlds

No talk, just action. The double introduces himself by diving for his face claws first and switches it into a disembowelling cut with the foot claws that he rolls away with and then dives onto the bastard to put him in a headlock but his answer is something he had been considering for a while.

He channels Axiom through the edges of his wings to turn them into blades and moves to try and slice his arms off. He has to teleport to dodge the attack. The double is on him in an instant as he only has one setting which is ATTACK. A swift punch earns a dodge back and turning it into a slash by extending his claws at the last moment and reefing to the side earns a slightly larger dodge as he’s then forced to catch a brutal knee by closing his legs before it can be driven in to his manhood.

He rides up on the knee while locking the leg before throwing himself backwards to grab the ground and slam his opponent as hard as he can. The mirror born bastard rolls with it and drags him to the side to try and put him in a clinch of some kind.

So he teleports away to try and get some distance as being at the mercy of a kill crazy fucker with his face is NOT something he wants to happen. The Axiom behind him twists and he turns in time to deflect a claw thrust at his head like a spear. He then dodges another thrust followed by an entire flurry of spear thrusts from his mirror clone.

“The hell is even going on!?” He demands as he weaves away having finally having a moment to talk.

There is no answer as the reflection? Clone? Doppleganger? As the bastard that Jasper is going to god damn end keeps on his unrelenting, unthinking and unreasoning attack. He can sense nothing but a pure will to kill him. No expression on his face. No deviation in his Axiom presence. Just sheer hostile intent.

•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•×•

Lady Ailure pants as her mind reels. She had managed to teleport him to the mirror chamber. She had actually teleported someone. She stands up with all four eyes clenched shut and stretches her wings. That wretch was unnaturally skilled in battle. No Urthani should have that level of killing instinct. Such ability to fight and...

There’s the sound of a gasp and she jolts to the side. Her eyes open just in time to see one of her knights slam into the ground where she stood. It’s Magrica, having made a fool out of her knights. Her entire troop is being dragged behind the Metak madwoman

Everyone complains about how "weak" Deathclaws are in FO4, but no one cares about how weak Sentry Bots are in FO3 and FNV.

Deathclaws

Many fans complained that Deathclaws in 4 and weaker compared to 3 and New Vegas. Sure in 3 and New Vegas you can't fight two Deathclaws at the same time. And the stronger variants (Alpha, Matriach etc) can kill you in one hit, even with Power Armor.

In Fallout 4, it depends on the situtation and gear. You might take out two Deathclaws at the same time. The problem is that in Fallout 4, you get stronger and stronger all the time. So eventually the Sole Survivor would surpass even the strongest Deathclaws in stats.

While the Lone Wanderer and the Courier can be on par with Deathclaws, they won't have an easy time dealing with them even in late game.

Sentry Bots

Now let's go to Sentry Bots. Both in 3 and New Vegas, Sentry Bots are a joke. I did the Gun Runners Challenge where you have to kill Robots with a Lead Pipe. And I didn't have any problem with it. I was also low level. Like 20-21.

Both in 3 and New Vegas, Sentry Bots are hardly a challenge. You might also think that they were meant to be easy instead of being powerhouses of Robots.

While in 4 you can also destroy a Sentry Bot easily, it's its behavior in the game that makes them strong. Sarge in the castle is very hard or even unbeatable if you're low level. Sentry Bots in the Mechanist's quests are also tough, especially for the required level it has (lv 15).

Place a Sentry Bot with console commands against a hit squad of the Legion or NCR and watch it get decimated quite easily. Have Senty Bot companion and it can take out all the Raiders in Nuka World.

Now you could say that it's a modifies Sentry Bot by the player, so of course it will be stronger than what it was intented. Sure. But still, even Sentry Bots you find in the wasteland, unless you are high enough level, or don't have the Robotics Expert Perk, they can crush you quite easily. And you need to be very high level and invest in certain Perks to be able to deal with Sentry Bots in 4. But in 3 and New Vegas, no. They where easy. Even at low levels.

Korean Spolers (704)

Finally, they are out!!

https://manatoki116.net/comic/10723914

Translation from u/Jeeswag

Kaine:

The chapter starts off with Kaine calling Riboku and a few children back for dinner. The kids call her mom and ask what's for dinner to which she says lamb soup. The kid on Riboku's shoulder says they like it and Riboku says the same. The kid then says they like mom and Riboku says the same. Kaine then hugs Riboku and says she really likes him too. The kids laugh while saying their mom is hugging their dad.

Zhao:

Riboku wakes Kaine up and tells her that it's time to go back to Kantan so she must get ready right away. Kaine realizes it was just a dream. She says that she would've liked to have not gone back and stayed with Riboku and gone back to Ganmon with him. She realizes she just said all that out loud because she hasn't fully woken up yet and Riboku says after everything's over they can go back to Ganmon together. Kaine asks him to repeat it because she didn't hear him well and he says it's nothing.

After returning from Gian Riboku sent out 2 different horses. One to Seika and one to "Nangmeng" (not sure which castle this is referring to in the overall map yet) the castle north of a city owned by Qin. After receiving his message 2 reps from Seika came to Nangmeng. The Nangmeng rep says that he heard from Riboku that the two are well versed in warfare so they should give them command of the Nangmeng soldiers. The Seika rep says that they heard the Nangmeng troops are valiant fighters and that they also brought their troops with them. The Nangmeng asks them to use their soldiers as their own arms and legs. The Seika rep tells him to not worry and the Nangmeng rep wonders if Nangmeng will really be the site of the next war.

The Nangmeng rep understands that the Qin has come as far as right in front of Kantan but doesn't know why they will be attacked so far north. The Seika rep says it's how Riboku set it up in order to achieve great victory. The Nangmeng rep says that if it's for the state then they will spill their blood for the cause. They agree to fight well together on the field and the Nangmeng rep says they'll prepare a place for them to warm up and drink and the other Seika rep yells thanks. It will still be awhile for the Qin to approach them so they will make ample preparations before they come.

Will The new DAO marketplace gain momentum or no

Hola, mates!
Give me a minute to grab your attention. Just some thoughts about one upcoming project and its perspective at least.
• The crypto user base will surpass 100 million in January 2022, fueling the rapid creation and acceptance of crypto apps.

• There are almost 70 million blockchain wallet users and over 80 different types of wallets. Wallets are only one form of cryptocurrency software.

• There are almost 4,000 active cryptocurrency-based decentralized apps running across more than a dozen blockchain platforms, including Ethereum, Solana, BSC, and others.

(This figure does not include all of the market's centralized crypto applications, such as Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken.
So if there are so many crypto apps already on the market, where are they hosted? Sure, Not in one source. Magic Square IO, one of the upcoming events in 2022 is gonna create the first ever DAO marketplace for all the crypto apps. It has to be worthy stuff. Firstly because of the hostage and basing on the unique but not new format. All is not integrated and implemented into Blockchain. So the place where all those DeApps have to be allocated have to be invented sooner or earlier. Magic Square has all the possibilities and created a nice plan with many different features started from SSI (Self-Sovereign Identity) for one-click login, payments subscription, in-app monetization, and out-of-the-box staking solutions within their crypto applications and finishing with in-app activity rewarding for users/consumers.
On the other side there are still some invocations and challenges for the project. They have to prove serious intentions already at the beta test period. Then we will see the uniqueness and real intentions. Consumers have to be supplied only with useful stuff. Market is already filled with a mess..

I have finished Frankenstein. Here are my thoughts:

Victor Frankenstein was raised in utmost privilege: his every need and want was met, his parents did not command him but exchanged with him a compliant and attuned respect, his education impassioned him to learning, and as eldest he was the "destined successor" of his noble father, Alphonse Frankenstein.

>Such was our domestic circle, from which care and pain seemed for ever banished. My father directed our studies, and my mother partook of our enjoyments. Neither of us possessed the slightest pre-eminence over the other; the voice of command was never heard amongst us; but mutual affection engaged us all to comply with and obey the slightest desire of each other.

Such an upbringing many people would kill to have, but it gave him a crippling blind spot: he didn't register the reality of evil until his own hands fashioned the creature whose later evil would unravel his entire world. Surely he knew of evil from books and news, but he didn't cite any encounter with evil while recounting his formative events. As such, he was ill-equipped to understand the ramifications of creating the creature, whom I'll call Adam per his wish:

>Remember, that I am thy creature: I ought to be thy Adam; but I am rather the fallen angel, whom thou drivest from joy for no misdeed.

While reading, I took detailed commentary notes: Letter 1 - Chapter 1, Chapter 5 - Chapter 11, Chapter 12 - Chapter 20, and Chapter 21 - Chapter 23.

Victor named several events that opened him to being "attacked by the fatal passion" that compelled him to create Adam:

  1. His mother died when he was young. Victor never recovered from the loss, described as an "irreparable evil", despite his heart no longer bleeding. His aim to conquer death was motivated by his inability to accept his mother's passing, as seen when her death is on his mind in his nightmare hours after bringing Adam to life:

>I thought that I held the corpse of my dead mother in my arms; a shroud enveloped her form, and I saw the grave-worms crawling in the folds of the flannel. I started from my

The Princess and the Human, Ch. 1

Hi everyone! This is my first time writing a HFY story, so feedback is highly appreciated!

Also, I'm not a native speaker, so feel free to point out mistakes if I made some.

The clacking of her steps on the metal floor echoed through the empty hallway of the Star Treader, as Doctor Githaiy made her way towards the medical bay. She had hoped to get a night's worth of sleep before they arrived at their homeworld, but a call from the princess had ended that hope. Her Highness hadn't specified what the problem was, only that they had a "situation", and that she should come immediately.

As she entered the medical bay, she was met by one of the princess's attendants, as well as three guards.

"Doctor", the attendant greeted before stepping aside, the revealed sight causing Githaiy to startle. On the hospital bed laid... something.

Its shape loosely resembled their own race, the Vanaery, save one missing pair of arms. It was also much smaller, only about two-thirds of her own height, and its frame looked very delicate, almost frail. The surface of its body appeared to be smooth and soft, leading Githaiy to the conclusion that, unlike them, it was an endoskeletal race. It was clad in a simple, white shirt and pants, both exceeding the amount of clothing the Vanaery usually wore, with the exemption of battle armor of course. The doctor wracked her brain, trying to remember all the alien races her people had made contact with, but none of them resembled this small creature even closely. Could it be..?

"A new alien species?", she concluded. The attendant nodded.

"Presumably, yes."

"Where did you find it?"

"We picked up a strange signal" he started explaining. "It didn't match any common code, but due to its repetitiveness, the princess concluded that it was some sort of distress call. When we followed it, we found what looked like an escape pod. The alien was the only one inside, already unconscious when we found it. We analyzed the air in the pod, and it seemed to resemble our own. Well, it is still alive, so that seems to be the case. We wanted to prepare standard first-contact-protocols, but her Highness insisted that we first assured that it was alright. Which is where you com

USEFUL NOTES: The Swordsmanship Styles

This post is part of my USEFUL NOTES series (Old compilation here). This is a more complete version of the segment on the swordsmanship styles in my post on r/anime. I've always wanted to write this one, but the opportunity for that one came first. It should definitely be paired with my post about tōki and post about techniques. Read those before this one, as well asthe upcoming resmastered version of my old post about the magic system.

DISCLAIMER 1: I avoid spoiling the anime as much as possible, but I will discuss magic mechanics and list techniques that haven't yet appeared in the anime, the manga, or the light novel without giving away any plot points. Things that would actually spoil what happens in the main story or the extra stories (Redundancy, Jobless Oblige, and Old Dragon's Tale) are spoiler-tagged. The same applies to character names.

Disclaimer 2: One approached adopted by both the novels and the anime is a "show, don't tell" approach. The author avoids exposition that isn't really included in the story. The narrator is also unreliable, so one shouldn't take anything the characters say, hear, or read in a book or wherever at face value. I try to observe how trustworthy a source of information can be and if what they say is verifiable elsewhere in the story. I also supplement information gaps iwith my own speculations, whenever applicable.

A swordsmanship style (or school) is a collection of sword techniques based around a specific philosophical approach to combat. They are basically the martial arts of Mushoku Tensei. I personally find the way the author set them up absolutely brilliant. They are distinct enough from one a

For the Greater Good

There has been a substantial number of misguided voices advocating that forced vaccination is for “the greater good”. That seems like a really slippery slope they haven’t put much thought behind.

For example, if we have a shortage of organs for transplant patients (which we do), why not use the same argument to advocate for forced kidney donation? After all, this would help protect others and would benefit the greater good, even if it did pose possible health issues for the donor.

The government could then decide that depopulation would resolve climate change (which some have). Forced sterilization of political opponents would solve this problem and they could argue that it is for the greater good, that is, for the majority of people who support the regime. Even forced Russian roulette could be construed as benefiting the greater good.

How about forcing people to program their immune system with a single antigen from an extinct variant of cornavirus? This could permanently train the immune system that all subsequent mutations were nothing more than an extinct spike protein. The immune system, without exposure to the entire virus structure, would not produce sufficient N-antibodies to ward off infection. As long as they can sell this procedure as a benefit for the greater good, there is no moral hazard - in their minds. Even if a variant named omicron came along and disproportionately infected vaccinated people, no one should complain because the intent was for the greater good.

Freedom is something the Labour government does not understand. In the context of the greater good, there is nothing available to society that could be of greater benefit. Freedom leads to more ‘greater good’ for every single person in a society than any government health policy ever could – especially when those inventing policy have no idea how their experiments will turn out. Without freedom you can forget about the greater good. Individual rights and liberties are what have made free societies prosper. In contrast, the communist approach to serving the greater good usually leads to dictatorship, poverty and suffering. Let a government micro-manage their people and expect disaster. Want proof? Look at the former USSR, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea. The Labour government has some familiar elements. Never has New Zealand been so authoritaria

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Album of the Year #17: DJ Muggs x Rome Streetz - Death & The Magician

Artist: DJ Muggs x Rome Streetz

Album: Death & The Magician

Listen:

YouTube

Spotify

Apple Music

Background by /u/farm_sauce

Through a prophetic sense for the future of the genre, mixed with his undeniable roots in the evolution of popularized hip hop sound, DJ Muggs has become the “Nick Fury” of east coast rap’s Avengers, assembling the most lyrically talented verbal superheroes the east coast has to offer, and has asserted himself as an undeniable force for all that is pure and essential to hip hop.

DJ Muggs, born Lawrence Muggerud, is a Queens borough native with a passion for New York hip hop culture. Muggs started his career DJing in the New York underground scene in 1988, shortly before linking with B-Real and Sen Dog to form one of hip hop’s most iconic supergroups, Cypress Hill. You may have heard of them. Muggs produced 7 albums with the group, four of which achieved platinum status, the remaining three going gold. In the late 80’s and 90’s, Muggs wasn’t just on fire, he was a nuclear fission plant for creating iconic music. Some of his most iconic collaborations were with rap hall-of-famers like GZA, House of Pain, Fundoobiest, and Planet Asia to name a few. He was shaping what the everyday listener thought hip hop could sound like, establishing the genre has an American staple, and creating a sound that would be revisited for decades to come.

It was Muggs who took The Alchemist under his wing in the early 90’s. The Alchemist, who needs no introduction to this sub, sparked Muggs’ growing passion for mentoring and collaborating with new artists, especially those whose musical abilities far surpass their exposure and fame. Muggs wanted to work on the razor’s edge of hip hop, carving a path forward with two things in mind: an undying loyalty to the nostalgic sound of 90’s boom bap production, and absolutely filthy elite lyricism.

In 1997, Muggs released an album titled Soul Assassins, defined by its grim and sinister melodies laid under slow-paced and menacing drums, interjected with haunting audio clips that gave the audience an all-too-close look at the rotten underbelly of American soc

The Birth of Interstellar Wrestling

Tyson had never heard a louder crowd in his career. It struck his locker room like an earthquake, the muffled screaming of over a million life forms from all across the galaxy, vibrating through the stadium and matching his rapidly beating heart, to the point where Tyson feared the building might collapse from the tremors at any point.

And none of them were cheering for him.

Tyson didn’t let it bother him, though. He signed up for this match knowing full-well the crowd wouldn’t care about him. After all, nobody in the galaxy believed a human could win this bout.

When Earth first received news of alien life, everyone predicted a myriad of things that could arise from cultural exchange. Advances in medicine, engineering, and art were considered inevitable, dazzling any forward-thinking individuals with all the possibilities.

Wrestling, however, was the last thing on anyone’s mind. Very few people on Earth thought the sport would survive the next decade, let alone it becoming the thing that made humanity stand out. This came as a shock to many, but it really shouldn’t have surprised anyone.

People, regardless of their species, always love a good fight.

No one knew this better than Vincent McMiller, the oldest living human. He had been in the wrestling business for over two-hundred years now, kept alive by mechanical augments, intense daily exercises, and ruthless aggression in every facet of life. As soon as the Galactic Federation made contact with humanity, McMiller only had one goal in mind: to expand his wrestling empire beyond the confines of the solar system.

Unfortunately, his first attempt at promoting this event was met by widespread ridicule, especially on Earth. Humans just weren’t considered suited for wrestling by the galactic community; not when compared to some of the other species that were practically built for fighting. One culture in particular, the Bhul'ee, had a complete monopoly on combat sports due to this very reason. The average height of their athletes towered over most folk, some being close to eight feet tall, and they all had four muscular arms, each with hands strong enough to crush a person’s skull.

McMiller, of course, took it upon himself to goad the Bhul’ees into a fight, which was easy considering how prideful they tended to be. He didn’t care that it made the rest of humanity look like obnoxious idiots. In fact, he counted on it. The only thing that mattered to him was that, regardless of the result, aliens th

[This Quest is Bullshit] - Chapter 165: Commanding Presence

New? Start here!

Eve and Lumy hovered in the air above the city of Pyrindel, appearing, incorporeal as they were, to be no more than a particularly bright cloud to anyone below. I missed this place, Eve sent.

It smells like shit, Lumy replied.

You don’t have a nose, Eve snapped back. Besides you’re thinking of Lynthia. Lynthia smells like shit. Pyrindel smells like piss.

Ah. Of course. How could poor old me without my nose ever hope to distinguish between two such important smells. As if her tone wasn’t enough, Lumy sent the message alongside an image of a bright flashing sign that read ‘sarcasm.’

So, how do we go about this? Eve asked. I’ve never done the whole fugitive-returns-to-save-them-all thing before.

That’s an oddly specific thing for anyone to have done before, Lumy replied. But might I suggest just walking in? You know, the way a normal human being would?

But I’m not a normal human being, Eve sent.

We both know you’re not normal, Lumy sent.

Hey!

But, the phantasm continued, big, dramatic entrances are the kind of thing people who are hiding shit do.

That’s not entirely true, Eve argued. They’re also the kind of thing people with style do.

Lumy sighed.

Fine, fine, I’ll walk in through the front gate, Eve sent, floating slowly towards the northern edge of the city. The last time she’d walked through those gates, it’d been as the only sober person in Pyrindel, desperately trying to shepherd a drunken party out of jail. She hoped a year later, the people didn’t hold that against her.

So it was that with a rising sense of trepidation and a disappointing lack of anything happening, Eve reformed her body in the outskirts and stepped into the line of travelers awaiting admission into the grand capital of Leshk.

A few of the various peasants, merchants, and local adventurers gave her curious looks, but given Appraise’s inability to distinguish between a level fifty and a level ninety-nine, nobody in the queue was strong enough to truly realize Eve’s strength. Most probably assumed she was just another newly-minted tier 4 come to apply for the mercenary companies for the first time.

Those few that did glean her class seemed not to comment on it, though Eve was sure that would change by the time the guards saw her. As per usual, people surpassed her expectations.

“There’s an *Emiss

Cauladra

It had been a few days since Leo returned from the slums, and the state he was in shocked everyone who was present for the ball. To think that Leo could become mana depleted at all was unthinkable after feeling that endless pool, and she guessed that maybe he didn't have control over it, which only stoked her curiosity even more.

Now that Cauladra was done with the rush of magical paperwork she had to help with, she was heading to Anasslia to drop her contract with the court. Despite the recent reason for her decision being her desire to learn more about Leo, the truth was that this was bound to happen.

Knowing Anasslia, she would have pushed for Cauladra to study enchanted stuff coming out of Telnar to see how she could use it against her enemies, and that infuriated her. Although Cauladra would love to spend hours testing and experimenting with the new runes, why would she settle for that when she could just go to the source?

Entering Anasslia's chambers, Cauladra saw that Qassria was present as well, but Anasslia looked a little irritated as she glared at Qassria. “...to do this mother, because you were right. I understand that it will be after Selaria is under your control, but I will be leaving as soon as that matter is settled.”

Anasslia’s eyes sharpened at her daughter. “While I am ecstatic that you've finally realized how foolish you've been, I thought I told you that you were to marry him. Do you not und-” She paused to arch a brow at Cauladra, finally noticing the passive observer. “Yes? What do you need, I am in the middle of a private matter.” She remarked with a layer of hostility as she narrowed her eyes.

Cauladra briefly had second thoughts about announcing her resignation at this point in time, but she should get rid of it sooner rather than later, considering Anasslia's mood was starting to deteriorate after the ball anyway. "Anasslia, I've come to tell you that I'll be terminating my contract." She declared to the surprise of both selarins.

Anasslia's speechless state lasted for only a few moments before she started to direct her previous glare at Cauladra. "If I'm not mistaken, the contract stated that you we

Unbreakable - A SSB Fanfic - Chapter 2

Elloo~~

I am back - Unbrakable with me

I am back - Unbrakable with meAnd with it: A small art of my own production - rather concept art - of the United Terran Federation flag (Ok somethig went wrong, cuz when i tried to make some corrections to text - it tells me I am over limit - need to go to markdown mode - where i cant figure out how to add new image - so here will be link to it:

UTF Flag

IMPORTANT - Phoneix part of the art isn't mine. Found it ages ago on net and used for some concept art to my old projects. Now I can't find author again. So - disclaimer - this is CONCEPT ART ONLY - not actuall art piece - and i do NOT - take full credit for it. If I ever manage to find artist who made this - i will give him a shout out or even contact him/ her - if it was possible.

Don't know if I can keep up such speed with writing new chapters - but as people seemed to enjoy this little idea of mine - it will be continued :)

I must give thanks to the one - and only - u/AmericanPride2814 - author of wonderful story Semper Shil'vati - who IS BACK - and just after his return he helped me clear this chapter. So give his story love it deserves!

And as always – this is fan fiction set in SSB universe created by BlueFishcake.

So if you enjoy this or his original story – go support him on Patreon or simply buy his book at Amazon. You will live to regret it, but you will also live to enjoy it.

Now... come closer dear reader - and I shall tell you a story.

A story about a little spec of dust flying in circles around little star.

Ragnar shook his head at the unconscious form of the Shil'vati. For someone who screamed so loud, she fell unconscious after just one kick to the face. Disappointing. He looked up at the other Shil'vati. The rest of the survey ship's crew were around him, on their knees and shackled. So much ado about nothing.

Ragnar put the helmet on his head and focused his attention on the inte

Why GMing Isn't More Popular (& Ideas on How the Community Can Help Change That)

Recently, a post on r/dndnext posed a simple question: How can the community make more people want to DM? It's not an easy question to answer, but it is one I think about a lot as someone who runs two (sometimes three) games a week - so I figured why not give my two cents.

Creature ratings aren't exactly known for their accuracy, and 5e stat blocks tend to be pretty simple, so GMs often end up homebr

[Mushoku Tensei] Swordmanship styles and techniques. Spoilers for magic system and some mechanics.

To properly discuss the swordsmanship styles, we need to explain some magic mechanics in advance. They have not been fully explored in the anime because we don’t see Rudeus using them. However, they have indeed appeared in the anime and knowing the mechanics won’t necessarily tell anyone where the story is going, so you can decide if you consider them spoilers. Same goes for the examples. I refer to the characters by their sword rank or a nickname. Not really easy to guess all of them, but some are. But, they are tagged for spoilers, so you can choose if you want to see them.

Tōki / Battle Aura/ Fighting Spirit

This is a summed up version of tōki. For a more in-depth analysis, you can go here.

Tōki is a technique that uses the mana inside a person to dramatically improve their body’s physical capabilities, strengthening themselves to unnatural extremes. The person in question spreads a field of mana over every part of their body, then presses it tightly against themselves.

Based on observation, these are the things that tōki improves:

  1. Strength => Your physical strength no need to explain further
  2. Kinetic Damage Resistance=> Capacity to resist kinetic impacts and attacks without sustaining damage. Does not work against energy attacks, such as electricity. Not sure if it works against fire. We see Orsted dismissing a dragon's fire breath, but maybe that's another technique.
  3. Stamina => Your physical endurance so you can do more stuff without getting tired.
  4. Speed => Like strength, no need for more explanation.
  5. Reflexes => From Wikipedia: In biology, a reflex, or reflex action, is an involuntary, unplanned sequence or action and nearly instantaneous movement in response to a stimulus. Here, it means how fast you can react to something, be it your opponent's action, an ambush, and any other other event, be it expected or unexpected.
  6. Agility => The overall coordination of your body while moving, it includes balance, coordination, as well as the already mentioned speed, reflexes, strength, and endurance. It's the overall control of your body. It is different than dexterity, which has more to do with fine motor skill, usually involving your hands and fingers. Think drawing, small sculptures, painting, pick-pocketing…
  7. Strengthening weapons and probably attire => We have confirmati
