Edit: thank you for the award and sharing all of your horror stories! Iβm glad my experience was able to make you guys laugh. In regards to a 2nd diaper, that may save us with poop, but with pee, a washcloth is our only hope to combat the firehose.

When I became a mother, I was aware that poop, pee, vomit, etc would be involved, little did I know, Iβd need to chop off my right hand only 4 weeks in.
As I was feeding LO, I could feel the toots were not just toots and began to smell the smelly smell. The smell all parents know. Knowing he would begin fussing and not want to continue eating in a dirty diaper, I took it upon myself to be proactive and just change him before he began to fuss.
I opened the diaper, strategically put a wash cloth over him to avoid the inevitable mid diaper change stream, and began to meticulously work to get in between all of the cracks and crevices. As I am doing so, LO decides to unleash a stream of liquid lava. I quickly grab a wipe to catch the flow in an attempt save his outfit as I did not want to be scrubbing poop off of his onesie. And it worked! I caught the flow and continued on with my journey of making sure his butt cheeks were sparkling clean but I was naive. I thought it was done. I thought wrong.
LO began to unleash a massive mudslide that would make Mt. Vesuvius jealous and in an attempt to save his onesie again, I didnβt have time to grab another wipe and the next best available thing was my hand. I begin scooping up the shit storm this tiny 7 pound creature had produced and began scraping it into his diaper. I get my hand cleaned off and once again, continue to work on cleaning him. Little did I know, the washcloth had uncovered the most vital part and he began giving himself, his onesie, and I a golden shower. In the midst of the rain, another lava flow began and my hand was still the only thing available and the cycle repeated.
Eventually, the storm subsided and we were able to finish his diaper change (and after all of the effort he still required a change of clothes) but in that moment I knew I was going to need to stick my hand in boiling water to ever feel clean again. They are so little, but their bodies are so fierce.
I just bought my first bottle of lava flow ice and was very much looking forward to it . All I can taste is mint ... I taste no fruit no coconut no strawberry nothin just minty menthol . I kinda can tell thereβs a fruit flavor in there somewhere but I canβt taste any fruit like I thought I would . Anyone else had this experience?
When I first moved to Portland, I owned a Jeep and spent a lot of driving roads in the middle of nowhere, mostly northeast of Vancouver, south of Helens, and as far east as Adams and White Salmon.
There are two geological features that stand out that I'd like to visit again, but I can't remember where they are.
One was a road-side lava field, with almost obsidian-like lava. I remember that we parked along the road, and just walked into the field. The lava was jagged and sharp, and each step required care to not cut yourself.
The other was an ice cave. No, I don't mean Ape Caves. It was a small cave that had year-round ice formations. I visited in the middle of the summer, and there was a small staircase that led down into the case, and then it was a solid sheet of ice at the bottom. There was a sign that had information about the cave and its discovery.
Does anyone know where these are? Google maps is not your friend when it comes to searching for geological features.
