A list of puns related to "High Yielding Varieties"
Morning peeps, first time farmer here.
Depression caused me to shut my event business and lead me 2500 Kms across the country into a state whose local language I cant speak and become a farmer with no prior experience.
Now stuck with locals I can barely communicate with, it's the middle of the rainy season (3000mm annual) I want to plant baby corn in approx 45 days unfortunately the varieties here offer upto 2 ears max.
If you could recommend me baby corn varieties and where to buy them from I would really appreciate it.
I don't need a lot of seeds, 4 kg would be more than enough.
Hi all!
I am looking to plant an apricot tree, and I've heard that a lot of apricot varieties are unreliable producers at best. I've been looking at Puget Golds, and Moorpark varieties. But I wanted to ask y'all for your expertise--what varieties have you heard/experienced do well in Central/North Tennessee? Which have the highest and most consistent yields for this area?
Are apricots even worth growing? Thanks everyone so much, I appreciate it.
I have 13 varieties I'm trying on my first yr. Mostly indeterminate and would love other peoples recommendations and experiences.
Toms are my favourite fruit and with a small garden space I want to maximize and ensure I end up with varieties that produce a lot of fruit, have good disease/pest/fungal resistance and of course taste amazing. Tall order, I know, so what do you recommend?
Right now I have planted:
Hey y'all, I am preparing to start a container garden when it warms up. I have a 7.5ft x 9.5ft patio where most of it will be. It's not a ton of space, so I was wondering what plants I should prioritize. I'm mostly interested in annuals as I already have a few perennials that take up a lot of room inside during the winter. Just need the most bang for my buck! Also, if anyone has any vertical garden resources I would greatly appreciate it! Planning on growing herbs, flowers, medicinal plants, and carrots vertically
Basically the title
I live in the UK, the only two strains we grow here consistently on a macro scale are stardawg and amnesia Haze because they are guaranteed to Have a decent yield and sell quickly. I personally have never tried to grow anything else. I feel like if I was to grow a more unique strain I would sell out incredibly quickly because of how tedious the usuals have become, however as prices don't have much leway, if the yield was far lower I would just be loosing money.
I was wondering if one of you far more experienced US growers could give any insight into your favourite high strength high yielding strain so I can trial a few and decide whether switching is worth it.
For several years Iβve purchased bulk sugar snap and snow pea seeds (brand: SeedWay). But every year I get a mixture of both sugar snap and snow peas on the same plants. I thought it might be cross pollination but from what Iβve read that would only affect the next generation. Is it the Pea seeds that Iβm buying?
This may be stupid but had this thought pop up randomly in my head today and r/dividends does not allow theoretical post.
So would it be possible or logical to get a loan from $100,000 to a $1,000,000 and throw it on reliable high paying dividend(s) stock(s) to pay back the loan and use the profit to re-invest?
(I consider anything over 4% high)
Edit: Thank you to everyone that commented below, even the blunt ones. I appreciate all of the insight given
