The latest comments by Diamanti got me thinking, West Ham fans love a nutter, and without one in the squad at the moment, who would be the ideal nutter to bring in during this transfer window?
You deserve representatives who work for you. Californians, along with millions of Americans across this country, are ready for real, meaningful change. I am running for U.S. Senate to help fight for what matters to you.
I believe in causal analysis. I believe that treating symptoms of problems never really fixes problems nor does it create solutions. When we look at every major issue facing Americans today, be it lack of affordable healthcare, corporations buying elections, government corruption, and meaningful drug and criminal justice reform laws, for example, they all boil down to one pervasive root cause: the corrupting influence of money in politics.
How can a candidate who takes money from Big Pharma or the insurance industry possibly support Medicare for All? How can someone who collects checks from the telecommunications industry truly advocate for a free and open internet? What kind of conflict of interest presents itself when legislators, whose campaigns are funded by manufacturers of war machines, are charged with deciding whether or not to send our sons, daughters, mothers, fathers and friends off to war?
It is unconscionable that corporations and the wealthy elite get to decide how our society treats its citizens and write the rules for how we are governed. I decided I had to join the fight to end corruption several years ago when I left my teaching career to lead Wolf-PAC, a national organization whose sole priority is to end the undue influence of money in politics.
After the 2016 election I realized that my work with Wolf-PAC wasnβt enough. So, l decided to run for U.S. Senate against Dianne Feinstein who has been one of the most conservative Democrats in one of the most progressive states in the union for 26 years. I immediately signed on to run as a Justice Democrat upon announcing my candidacy. The most important and unifying component of all Justice Democrat platform priorities is a pledge to refuse corporate and dark money. We also believe healthcare is a human right, that we all deserve equal pay for equal work, and that our corrupt government must return to one of, by and for the people.
Since my candidacy announcement in November, I have been overwhelmed with support, not just from Californians, but from citizens all over the country who believe we can design the country we dream of. At Wolf-PAC I managed tens of thousands of volunteers and Iβm glad I did because this grassro

People-power over Profit-power - this is how we take back our government once and for all.
Verification I grew up in a large family with 8 brothers and sisters. My parents were both working class. , only my mother graduated high school. We grew up living on the edge of financial ruin -- colon cancer has killed several of my immediate family members. Medical bills reached nearly $1 million when my father died.
I am the first in my family to graduate college. I went because I knew it would change the trajectory of my life and of those around me. I wanted to become a teacher so I could inspire others. No Child Left Behind was the rule of the day then, and it set our students up to fail. The cost of college continues to increase. Even community college is out of reach for many working class students. I didnβt know what to tell them when they asked why they should bother studying and do their work if they werenβt going to be able to afford college anyway.
I knew, deep down, that something was very wrong. Every year when I taught To Kill a Mockingbird or 1984, or when I worked with our most at-risk youth and their heart-wrenching stories, I became more and more frustrated. I felt both helpless and angry. I wanted to empower my kids and their families. I wanted to teach them how to advocate for themselves. So I set up a curriculum for my students to learn about causes they care about, how to do research, how to advocate for their beliefs, how to listen to others, especially those they disagree with. I did the assignment along with them. I was frustrated that there were so many issues I cared about and it was so difficult to decide what was most important. I saw how they all affected one another: wages, jobs, healthcare, environment, housingβ¦ I did what I always told my studentβI studied the root cause to see how we can truly solve the problems that our entire world is facing. I identified money in politics as the root cause of just about every major issue.
Eventually, I found Wolf-PAC, a national nonprofit that seeks a U.S. constitutional amendment to prohibit big-money influence of politics. I began as a volunteer, then California State Directo
