A list of puns related to "Harry And Jeanette Weinberg Foundation"
Digital Harbor Foundation received a multi-year funding commitment of $450,000 from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation to support its tech education programs for Baltimore youth.
The Federal Hillβbased nonprofit said the grant from the Owings Millsβbased foundation will help support ongoing initiatives in maker and computer science education, and expand programming. The organization is making the announcement Thursday evening at a showcase event marking its sixth anniversary at the former South Baltimore Rec Center, which is now a tech center. At the event, DHF Executive Director Andrew Coy said the grant is the largest single contribution the organization has received over the half-dozen years.
βThe Weinberg Foundation has been a key partner from the very beginning of our work,β Coy said in a statement. βThis multi-year commitment allows us to act immediately on the core threads outlined in our new strategic plan which are focused on extending opportunities to even more Baltimore youth.β
Specifically, it will allow the nonprofit to make updates to its programs and create new ways for youth to participate in its programs. The organization also plans to grow its own team, with two new positions. Recently, DHF promoted Darius McCoy, who started as a student in the organizationβs programs, to the role of tech center director.
Along with the funding, McCoy detailed the following programming updates on Thursday:
>DHF will provide free 3D printing field-trip opportunities for Baltimore City Public Schools. >Summer camps will be extended to cover a weeklong program that extends for a full day. >Pop-up programs at community spaces will offer new professional development for educators.
In 2018, DHF said it served 1,250 youth through its programs, which are held outside school time. The organization also provided training in maker education programming to 241 educators through in-person workshops, and another 1,339 through online resources called Blueprint.

"Um, who are you calling Harry?" asked Ron curiously when he and Hermione see Harry using the public phone.
"Hey, it's me...It has finally happened, yeah it's them again, alright splendid! see you soon," said Harry as he hangs up.
"Who did you call?" asked Hermione.
"My boss..." said Harry.

Later on, when Harry goes to find the Platform 9 3/4. He notice that he's being watched. He spots a few people looking at him from afar and yet they are acting like they're not.
A man in a labcoat suddenly shows up to him and whispered the directions on where the platform is and how to enter.
"Ah thank you," said Harry awkwardly.
"You're welcome," he said and Harry notices he is talking to a small device as he disappears in the crowd.

"It's interesting that most people don't appear to notice them going through that portal..." whispered the guard.
"As you know it's been charmed for nonmagic people to never notice it," said the scientist in a bored tone.

After Percy talked about Professor Snape, Harry then asked.
"Who's that man in the orange jumpsuit?" asked Harry looking at the d-class personnel with the same symbol on his uniform like those guards earlier and he seems very nervous.
"That's the new muggle studies teacher the Foundation sent...he's really more of an experiment for that organization like the others in those jumpsuits," said Percy with both disapproval and pity in his tone.
Because of a kind witch/wizard who took the initiative was sent by the Foundation to tutor him, Harry learned up to 6th-year magic under the guise of it being muggle subjects (which he learned as well).
Harry is a dangerous keter-class SCP with abilities that DO NOT stem from him being a wizard.
Bonus points if you include SCP-053 and SCP-682 as his friends.
Fight to the death unless stated otherwise. Weeping Angel cannot displace enemies in time.
Round One: Fight to the death in the Chamber of Secrets. Fighters start out of sight of one another.
Round Two: Bloodlusted free-for-all in dark catacombs. 096 gets a central chamber as a starting position, Basilisk gets an internal understanding of the catacombs layouts, and the Weeping Angel has a number of angel statues within the catacombs to blend in with.
Round Three: All three are loose in New York City. The Basilisk is in the NYC Subway system. The Weeping Angel has taken up a position in Calvary Cemetery. 096 has set up shop in a server room of 270 Park Avenue (JP Morgan/Chase building). All three are actively hostile, and the SCP Foundation are trying to contain the threats ASAP. Which combatant does the most damage, and who lasts the longest before being contained?
Round Four: The three combatants are locked within Tennessee's "The Island" mirror maze (3000 ft^2), starting equidistant from one another as they begin their hunt. Who emerges victorious?
Bonus Round: The combatants are each given their own respective iteration of Slenderman's forest to try and pass through, hunting 8x 5 year old children (mirroring the hunt for the 8 pages) whilst Slenderman hunts them down. Can any of them elude Slenderman to finish their own hunts, and if so, who does it fastest?
TLdR
R1: Fight to the death in Chamber of Secrets.
R2: Hunting each other through catacombs.
R3: SCP Foundation hunting the three running amok in NYC, who lasts longest?
R4: Hunting each other through world's largest mirror maze.
Bonus: Each tries to beat Slenderman's 8 page challenge (with child prey instead of notes) whilst Slenderman hunts them. Who performs best?
Does anybody else extremely dislike the fact that Jeanette and Jaime end up back together at the end? Like I canβt get over the fact that he hit her and she still wanted him back so badly. It just makes me cringe. I understand that all she ever wanted was the popularity and the jock boyfriend but still. Ughπ
Besides that this is definitely one of my favorite shows of all time!!!
Sorry about the formatting Iβm writing this on my phone. Iβm not sure if this is something thatβs been done, but I wanted to talk about sociopathy (aspd) and Jeanette. Since the end of the season, Iβve seen a lot of people talk about Jeanette being a sociopath and I wanted to talk about what is a sociopath and if Jeanette is really a sociopath (having aspd) or is a βtroubledβ girl. Iβll be using research Iβve found as well as personal experience with a family member who has a clinical diagnosis of ASPD. (Iβm apologizing for how in-depth Iβm going with this, Iβve been doing a deep dive)
What is ASPD? It is a mental health condition in which an individual lacks empathy, has no regard for the rights and experiences of other individuals, and exhibits clear patterns of lies and manipulation. They Do not feel bad or concern for others. Well they made seem to be in a living relationship, it is just a mask they are putting on for the outside world. The loved one I am describing that has antisocial personality disorder has no regard for other peoples thoughts and feelings even though they are related to other people and have children. They see others as a means to get what they want and not as people.
So is Jeanette a sociopath and have ASPD? Itβs hard to tell. We can armchair diagnose all we want but itβs easier to look at what we know and stick to the facts. If Jeanette is a sociopath she would be categorized as a high functioning sociopath due to her ability to manipulate and lie with ease, as well as her ability to mimic emotions. We see this when she goes to the police about the necklace for the first time. She is calm and consistent with the lie that she threw the necklace out. Again, she is consistent with Vince that she never went back to the house when he asks her if she ever went back.
Jeanette is also able to keep secrets from other people with ease. Another classic trait of ASPD is being able to keep things close to themselves and never reveal information unless they want to reveal it.
Another example is how comfortable Jeanette is with breaking the law. At first she is hesitant to break into the house with Mallory and Vince, but over time she goes back by herself and even steals items (the snow global) to escalate her risky behaviors. She is comfortable lying to law enforcement and others about being in the house. This also ties into another tendency of those who have ASPD- she has an addictive personality. She became addictive to the thrill of b
... keep reading on reddit β‘Something that Iβve been thinking of is how when we see β95 Jeanette it seems like she has shown some remorse. One of the biggest signs of this is when she is singing in the bar with Angela and seems to show some guilt and remorse over what she did to Kate, over feeling happiness. Or you could say even her dropping the lawsuit (albeit for selfish and somewhat twisted reasons) was still advantageous to Kate and her family who could have lost a lot.
Iβm not trying to say Jeanette isnβt evil- the final scene shows that she clearly has some issues and lacked the kind of conscience a normal person would have. However, Iβve been thinking about how because of the time jumps we arenβt told the story linearly. We end right in the middle of β94, right in the middle of Jeanetteβs character arc, so itβs easy to forget her potential growth and say she is fully evil because of the scene it ends on.
What are your thoughts? I hope this makes some sense.
Okay so we now know jeanette is a little mentally unwell since she left Kate locked in the basement & everything since was calculated etc. Whatβs bothering me is why do we think she went back to the basement in 95? The scene where Vincent followed her there. Likeee do we think she was feeling remorseful? Was she just being curious? Still just wanting the βthrill?β Was she just keeping up the act? Iβm curious on peopleβs thoughts about it!
Ok so while I did enjoy the show, it kinda bothered me that the show tried to paint these characters as good people. Jeanette is awful and deserved all that came her way but are we going to pretend that Kate defaming her without fully knowing who she was looking at through the window was ok? She absolutely should have been sued for that. Not to mention how she lied to the police and under oath REPEATEDLY. How are there no consequences? And the fact that it was Mallory ALL ALONG but rather than get the Jeanette treatment she gets herself a girlfriend?! It just feels like nobody in this show, the writers included, get the extent of these actions and the weight of it all. All three of them should be in jail.
Info on this case is sparse and contradictory at times.
Here is a writeup from the Memorial Page to Emily Garcia from 2006:
>Roy Garcia and Sheila Smith met in 1974 when Sheila was an SP/4 in the Army working in the 8th Infantry Division finance department in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. Sheilas real company was the 56th General Hospital where she worked as a medic, but she had been sent to this division to do allotments and bond for this finance company. Roy Garcia also worked at the 8th Infantry Division where Sheila had been sent and Sheila was assigned to train Roy. This is how they met. Sheila worked there training Roy and liked him immediately because he was serious minded and that impressed her. They continued to work together until September of 1974, when Sheila got out of the Army and moved back to Missouri where she had been born and raised all her life.
>
>Roy and Sheila continued to write to one another, and when Roy finally got back to the states, he took Sheila to Somerset, Texas to meet his family. When Roys leave was over and it was time for him to return to Germany, he asked Sheila to go with him and she did. They continued to live together in GermanyΒ till April of 1975, when they returned to the states for good. They first traveled to Potosi, Missouri to visit with Sheilas family, but the family was in quarantined at the time due to Sheilas youngest sister Lori having scarlet fever. Roy and Sheila had already decided to get married while they were visiting her family, so they went on to take their blood tests. This is how Sheila found out that she was pregnant with their first child.
>
>Roy and Sheila were married by a Justice of the Peace in Farmington, Missouri and after a quick 3 day honeymoon there, they traveled to San Antonio, Texas and then on to Killeen, Texas where Roy was going to be stationed at Fort Hood and where they began their married life together. On January 2, 1976, Roy and Sheila became the proud parents of a baby girl which they named Elizabeth Joy Garcia. They continued to live in Killeen, Texas. Elizabeth was a very active child and kept Sheila very busy while Roy worked during the day. In July of 1976, Sheila worried that their apartment was so close to the swimming pool and was scared the Elizabeth may wonder to it and drown. Since Sheila could not swim, this just magnified her fears. She decided that her and Elizabeth would take swimming
Iβve seen this over and over and over again. βThey didnβt write the ending until after episode 4 was filmedβ. When this is mentioned itβs typically to say that all of the creepy things Jeanette did in those first 4 episodes (of which there are many things) could not have possibly been written with the twist ending in mind. However unless Iβm missing something, this doesnβt mean the show runners didnβt have this as a possible ending. There are so many hints and clues throughout the show which make me think this was always a possible direction.
Beyond this it seems there is an assumption that storytellers write a story with a clear outline of the beginning, middle, and end. Meaning- when they start writing page 1 they already know how the last page will end. The characters are limited to being written in a way that builds to this specific ending. However there are many shows that were written organically without knowing exactly how characters would evolve and how it would all end. Vince Gilligan famously wrote Breaking Bad in this way.
My point being- just because the ending wasnβt chosen until some of the show was already written and filmed does not mean it was cheap storytelling. It may have been a possible ending from the beginning, or it may have become clear to the storytellers after seeing the characters come to life and gaining a better sense of what Jeanette might do.
I may be off bases but this has been bothering me. Would love to know your thoughts!
I was curious about this after seeing the singing multiple times and after Lillian's record was used to trick a person.
I was seeing a lot of ppl going back and forth about Kate and Jeanette and how even tho Kate is a victim she is still to blame for ruining Jeneatteβs life, etc. So I had a lot of thoughts and decided to make my own post instead of commenting on every one.
Idk if anyone has watched Jessica Bielβs other show The Sinner, but the idea that trauma makes people confuse and associate memories that arenβt connected was a theme throughout that show. So it wouldnβt be a stretch that would be part of the narrative here as wellβ¦and is based in psychology and science on how trauma does mix up peopleβs memories and could potentially make them misconnect completely different memories especially if itβs a way to help them cope.
Kate seeing Jeanette that night she broke in made her ruminate about the possibility of being rescued once realized she was kidnapped. Kate could begin to mix up that memory with the night she saw Jeanette when she, Vince and Mallory crashed the dinner party and they made eye contact before riding off on Malloryβs bike. She becomes convinced J saw her too and would tip someone off to rescue her. In her traumatized state she became enraged when this didnβt happen and blamed herself for willingly trusting Martin and going to his house but she also felt justified in blaming Jeanette assuming she misremembered J seeing her. So why didnβt she tell someone to come and rescue her? And this would have been further fueled by finally being rescued after god knows what horrors she endured and finding out Jeanette literally took her place in her old life which traumatized her fear and what Martin put in her head that everyone moved on and no one cared about her.
This all plays into the notion I think Biel portrays in both shows. How women are traumatized and then victim-blamed in society and as a result often blame themselves and other women and not the patriarchal construct we were raised in. Kate in her traumatized state should never have had the platform to blame Jeanette on national tv, BUT society is the one who believed it without proof and chose to ostracize and brutalize Jeanetteβs family as a result. But the real perpetrator is Martin Harris and the patriarchal society that also allows traumatized mothers to traumatize their daughters.
