A list of puns related to "Hammersmith Apollo"
My friend was unable to grab a presale ticket or general admission for this tour date, if anyone has any resale tickets or a spare ticket for standing, I would be more than grateful!!
By far the best recording of this song (and IMO it blows the studio cut out of the water) and one of the most impassioned vocal performances from his Bobness. Larry and Freddie giving it the absolute beans too.
This week Karen and Georgia cover Dr. Thomas Neill Cream and the Enfield Poltergeist.
Due to a friend dropping out, I have an extra ticket to tonightβs gig at the Apollo. If anyone is a fan and couldnβt get a ticket, or just someone who is curious about some new music theyβre not familiar with (apparently they put on a great show!), the ticket is yours.
PM if interested, I'm heading over to get in line shortly, doors open at 6:30. Stalls/standing tickets, so I intend to be front row.
I know it's a long way away but I'm going by myself. So... was wondering if anybody else is going?
Curious as to people's thoughts on the sound last night. Can't fault the performance at all, it was brilliant. Band were solid and Jack was on top form. Was nice to see that he was really enjoying himself, especially during the encores :)
Lights and visuals were really well executed and it looks like the crew were doing a great job keeping everything smooth.
Only slight downside for me was sound was quite muddy. It did improve slightly as gig progressed but I was struggling to hear Jack's vocal and even his guitar clearly throughout most the performance. First time I've been in the Apollo, and wonder how well suited it is to a loud rocky gig such as that. Bet it works great for acoustic but I felt like they were battling the room. I was probably 20 people back and dead centre standing, so assumed I'd be in one of the clearer spots. It was clear I wasn't the only one struggling because there was a definite moment where Jack was talking to the crowd and you could tell people couldn't quite understand what he was saying because people went silent when he asked a question.. (it wasn't just his accent :p)
Anyway not trying to stir hate, it was genuinely great, just wish sound was a bit clearer!
PS I thought the "no phones" thing worked really well. No sea of annoying screens getting in the way !!
"Featuring music plucked from the last 16 years of Bethesda Game Studios titles β including everything from Morrowind right up to the forthcoming Fallout 76 β BGS in Concert is the ultimate musical tribute to both Fallout and The Elder Scrolls."
