All cards are in Mint/Near mint condition. I bought them myself from store-bought packs when the game first came out. Pricing is negotiable but I will be using PSA 9 as a standard pricing reference.

It can be type specialty of just a random assortment of 6 Pokemon you'd like to use for it.
I'll start. Flying is my favorite type, so I would be a Flying type leader.
I would lead with Archeops that knows Acrobatics, Stone Edge, Earthquake and U-Turn. If it could have a flying gem for Acrobatics it would have one, but if not then no item. Stone Edge for people who use Ice Types and STAB. Earthquake to deal with Electric types will show up. Lastly U-Turn in case there is ever a bad match up like a Steel Type for it that is hard to hit to Switch into my second Pokemon, Talonflame.
Talonflame will have Gale Wings for its ability and for the first Move Brave Bird to hit like a truck, even more boosted by it's Sharp Beak or Life Orb. Next would be Flare Blitz for, like I said, Steel Types and its STAB. Next is Roost to keep it's HP full for Gale wings and the last move would either be Swords Dance to set up or Steel Wing to deal with Rock Types.
Next I would have Noivern and it's moveset would be Hurricane, Dragon Pulse, Heat Wave and Boomburst. It would have the Telepathy ability so it doesn't hurt it's teammate with Boomburst if in double battles, and it would hold the Choice Specs, to make it's massive damaging moves like Hurricane and Boomburst hit even harder.
Fourth spot would be Crobat that knows either Dual Wingbeat/Fly, don't know which I would rather, Cross Poison for STAB, Leech Life for Psychics and HP and Confuse Ray/Toxic for chip damage. It would hold either the Life Orb or Black Sludge, depending if I want to stall or hit hard and it would have the Inner focus ability to avoid Intimidate.
In the penultimate spot would be Togekiss. Whats any good Togekiss without Serene Grace spamming Air Slash. It would have Aura Sphere for coverage, Thunder Wave for speed control and lastly Metronome because it's fun. For an item it would have Leftovers just to get health back during battle.
And last but certainly not least, would be my Ace, Altaria. Altaria is my favorite Pokemon of all time, and it absolutely has to be my Ace for this team. It would start setting up with Dragon Dance so it can outspeed everything and hit like a truck, and because of it's natural bulk it will be difficult to take down while it sets up. First attacking move would be Iron Tail for coverage to deal with Fairy, Ice and Rock types that try to take it out. Next would be Outrage, it is a strong STAB move that will do a good chunk to anything it is neutral to. Lastly would be

- Auburn/LSU/Missouri Tigers: 881 Unsurprisingly for a mascot that over a fifth of SEC schools use, the Tigers are used by a great many high schools. When including variations the number reaches 930, with the most interesting of those being the "Flyin' Tigers" and "Hustlin Tigers"
- Regarding Auburn, there are also 16 schools nicknamed the "War Eagles", all of which are in the south but none of which are in Alabama.
- Georgia/Mississippi State Bulldogs: 806 A very popular mascot name, but one which doesn't appear in any other P5 conference. Including variations, the number rounds up to 849. Interestingly, two schools use in NJ and NM use the spelling "Bulldawgs".
- Kentucky Wildcats: 669 Nice. What team? Wildcats! This number goes up to 697 when including Wildcat variations, including a cool school in Watsonville, CA that uses "Wildcatz"
- Ole Miss Rebels: 186 Which becomes 196 when adding variations, including the "Cockney Rebels" of the British School of Washington, DC.
- Florida Gators: 74 Despite being native to the southeastern US, a decent number of northeastern and western schools use the Gator as their mascot. A small number of schools use the variations "Lady", "Fighting", "Golden", and "Wild" to round out the overall number to 79.
- Texas A&M Aggies: 17 Unsurprisingly, most of these schools are located in the south or in traditionally rural areas. A notable exception is Saint Agnes in Saint Paul, MN, but I can't fault them for wanting that alliteration.
- Vanderbilt Commodores: 11 These schools are scattered along the east coast and midwest, with none of them being in TN. Including "Lady Commodores" this number is bumped up to 13. I've always loved this nickname and wish more schools would use it.
- Alabama Crimson Tide: 9 Despite its great fame at the college level, the Crimson Tide mascot is nary to be found in high school, let alone in the south, with 8 of the schools that use it ironically being in the north. The lone southern school that uses this name is Minden HS in Louisiana. Honorable mentions go to the Crimson Wave in Petersburg, VA and the Crimson Pride at Roncalli Catholic in Omaha.
- Tennessee Volunteers: 6 All of these schools are in the south, but none are in Tennessee. Their players likely live up to the nickname much more so

As of now, the Stuttgart franchise appears to be the only one without a name (since they can't use the Scorpions brand).

Stuttgart Griffins
All of them are heraldic animals for the city (Stallion) or the state of Baden-Württemberg (Stag & Griffin), so I think they would be very fitting.

Honestly I was really surprised, its clear they really made an effort to make the player feel their trainer was winning over the crows, so I was delighted when they started chanting my character's name. The way it also harmonized with the music was really clever, I felt like a true challenger taking on the big leagues. What a delight!
I named my character AAAAAAH.
...only for him to use two. Just two. I don’t know what so was expecting but WHY? Is it so much to ask for gym battles to actually give SOME challenge and make it so the gym leaders have an actual team? Like fine, make the rest of the game super easy for the casual audience to build up their team. But when the gyms are just as easy as the random trainers on the road, that’s a problem.
