Anyone else getting something similar? I've been reading a lot about student anxiety, but I feel like mine is ratcheting up each week. First, I don't think students understand the work it takes to create online content. I'm trying my best and keep trying to cut more and more stuff, as I still can't keep up. I did not have much time to prepare (even that I had to declare to students - admin said we got the week after spring break to prepare and I was taking it!). Our admin dithered about canceling classes almost until the end of our spring break, so I'm still scrambling. Even considering all that, I am pretty close to the original course schedule. But students keep asking where the next thing is. And this is even after I've posted my plans to GroupMe and/or have gotten or am waiting on feedback. Yet they still insist on emailing me individually and asking me these questions. I have discussion boards on the LM that no one has touched yet - gah! I'm afraid I'm going to snap.
Any suggestions for 1) keeping cool, 2) reducing questions, and 3) increasing student understanding that this is difficult for professors too? At this point I am sorely tempted to throw up crappy publisher's slides and call it a day.
Throughout my cricketing life I've only ever used grade 1 willow. My understanding that it is the best performing willow (for the most part) and quite often the better looking bats. At the moment I'm looking into hats and can't justify spending close to a thousand dollars on a bat. Just asking of anyone's experiences for grade 2 willow bats. Are they as good as grade 1s, just less pretty? Thanks
