A list of puns related to "Government Build"
I know this scenario is unlikely, but let's assume the person tells no one and just does it. They make it to the moon and start to build their home, with food, water and oxygen tanks coming regularly. They've successfully moved to the moon on their own accord, claiming no nation but that of humankind.
Is it illegal? If so, under who's jurisdiction would this fall? I'd assume the easiest thing to do would be to stop the resupply ships and cut off food/oxygen, but let's assume the ships launch from random locations that can't be found until they're already launched.
Would someone try to bring them back to Earth? What if they refuse to go back? I think it would be a cool movie idea but wonder what would ACTUALLY happen or if there's a protocol for something like this.
Edit: Folks are pointing out that it's not possible to build a rocket undetected. This is a very fair point. For the sake of fun, let's assume a tech billionaire with existing rockets and infrastructure goes rogue and stays on the moon indefinitely, lying about what was supposed to be a three hour tour.
Starting to see a lot of comments about how this new variant will overwhelm the system with sheer volume, of course with the implication that restrictions will help "flatten the curve".
The people have done their bits. We were told we needed time to "beef up the system" and get everyone vaccinated, and people accepted and adhered to the restrictions for significant periods over the last 2 years, and when vaccines became available took it up in droves. Now we're here again, and the vaccines are apparently not going to save us, because it doesn't stop the wild rate of infection. Lucky we also used the time to "beef up our systems"... Or did we?
We're now facing the prospect of fresh restrictions to stop the fragile system from collapsing...again... after being told (in Vic at least) about the tremendous effort and investment the government has commited to setting our system up to cope. 4000 staffed ICU beds at the cost of $1.3B we were told. The "new normal" isn't an ongoing prospect of restrictions on young healthy people, it's an ongoing increased load on the healthcare system. Our government's have failed, and now rely on restrictions to not have the failure exposed.
When do we start asking about the beds? Where is the accountability for promises made?
So most die hard fans who digs throughout the archives of the wikis and reads into a-lot of the lore knows that the world government is actually advanced in terms of technology and is fare ahead of like 99.98% of the world. We also know that there are technology inconsistencies but other then that I donβt really understand the marines and the world government. Like you do realize that with metal ships they can basically become god at sea since wood is much much weaker then metal. And with metal the bouncy of the ship is even better allowing for actually turrets to be placed on the ships then with artillery like cannons also placed on them. Lastly the world government is much more United then say the United Nations in our world so why canβt they just get a better fucking navy instead of losing like 30k men in every fucking war or battle. Can someone please answer my question since I really wanna know. Thanks.
Why Kerala like this? Entrepreneurs leads the world and they create jobs for other people.
That's how society progress.
Wouldn't this be an efficient way to make sure homeless people have a place to sleep? It couldn't be too expensive to build since it's literally a giant box with a bunch of beds in it.
Anyone else hearing these lately? The 'for the workers' ones? Or the ones promoting the bypass as a housing solution?
I get a good laugh everytime I hear the end of them as it gives the link. It's the fall statement but with the accent it comes off as 'False Statement' and I can't help but think of how appropriate it is.
Probably old news anyway but I hear it several times every day. https://budget.ontario.ca/2021/fallstatement/build.html
Long time lurker, first time poster.
There is this barren land next to my building that's too small for any building construction, but just the right size to build a community park/garden.
This is the area: https://maps.app.goo.gl/eEcLBtwysEaNQU8T7
Is there any website/form/contact number I can reach out to the government (probably a parks and recs department) to recommend building a park or garden there. I see a lotta kids playing in the sandy lot and people feeding birds/cats that gather around, might as well make it green with some benches.
