The ad for the Pyramids almost made me overlook how well-placed the soda and water bottles were placed.
My partner and family all speak Egyptian Arabic, and Iโve been doing duo lingo to learn some more basic Arabic phrases. However would like to get a bit better at conversational and colloquial dialect, and was wondering if anyone could recommend any good shows to watch to get a feel for the language?
I have been through pretty much all of Collier and Hoch, and wanted another challenge to keep me occupied over the holiday.
So the first (and only) things that come to mind are the Mummy and all of its derivatives. But past that point, I can't actually think of anything else. I'm sure there are others out there though, right? Ancient Egyptian and Mesopamian lore just seems ripe for a proper horror movie, or at least a scary TV show.
What do you guys think? Does anything come to mind that would be worth watching?
Thank you guys! I haven't been on this sub in awhile but I'm excited to be back.
I'm looking for a sterling or fine 999 pendant to go on a large 4.5mm diameter chain I just purchased. (anything with a cool theme, all seeing eye, sugarskull, old Morgan's or other old coins turned into a pendant, iced out shit, whatever you got, I'd like to see it!)
Also looking for silver chains of large size 22+ inches and 5mm+ diameter. The gawdier the better. Bonus points for iced out garbage nonsense.
I would also like to buy a 2oz horus or egyptian themed coin.
Have a nice New Year! Thank you again!
I'm new to yu-gi-oh and I'm thinking of buying them
Im about to leave this beautiful lovely city of Cairo, Egypt in less than 2 weeks as i have completed my study here in Egypt. I have stayed in this country for more than 5 years and I really happy for my long stays here (just went back to my original country like 2 times only in those 5 years).
Listing some bucket list of my last few days in egypt, I decided to ask you guys, the pure egyptians for some egyptian things that if you have a friend out of egypt from other countries, leaving egypt, you want him/her to experience it.
It can be foods, traditions, places or anything that you think if i didnt try it/feel it i missed my chance to be/feel like a real egyptian.
Of course for this five years, ive tried many things in egypt but just if any of other things that ive missed or never tried before, that i will regret it if im missing it, please help me. I want this safar to egypt being the best safar i had in my life ๐ and may this liqa for me to egypt the ุญุณู ุงูุฎุชุงู .
It is even better if the things can be done in Cairo; as i only stepped my feet outside of Cairo once (yeah i missed many things with that and kinda regret it but 2 weeks isnt enough for me to go out of cairo).

I'm soon flying to Hurghada and I would like to eat in a restaurant serving proper Egyptian food. Anyone have a recommendation?
Alright so basically both of my parents are Egyptian and I was born and raised in America. Growing up, my parents and I used to speak Arabic pretty much exclusively (though I never learned how to read or write it), but as I grew up we started speaking it less and less. I still understand most of it, but I can barely speak it anymore (except for insults and profanities which I kept in very good practice lmfao). I'm currently 18 and in college, and I'd really like to relearn Egyptian Arabic. I originally wanted to do an Arabic minor, but I chose not to because my major is very involved and doing the Arabic minor on top of that major (and the Chinese minor I'm also doing) would've prevented me from graduating on time (and I'm also not interested in learning MSA as the main reason I want to learn it again is so that I can converse with my family in Egypt, who I'm somewhat disconnected with due to the language barrier). Does anyone know of any good resources to relearn Egyptian Arabic, given my background in it?
gonna be honest, we have a staff member claiming religion for not being vaxxed / in the office, which is making things a pain. figuring if Halal butchers are essential and can get vaxxed, our staff can too.
Planning Xmas party.
LDS Corp has the search engines plugged with their content so Iโm struggling to find anything respectable. Discussing it and the book of the dead forgeries in a history of typography research project.
