A list of puns related to "Golf Name"
My team is looking for a name for our coding golf web app. The idea is to solve a problem in as few characters of code as possible and we need a code-golf pun for the brand name. We will credit the user if we choose their pun, of course.
Happy punning!
It was a foursome... Al, Jerry and Gerry. To ease confusion, we just call the (G)Jerryβs by the first letter of their name... so Jay and Gee.
Anyways, we were playing the other day and I could tell that someone was wearing cologne. Why on a golf course? I donβt know.
Now Iβm kinda sensitive to odors and aromas and, sure enough, after a few holes, my eyes start to water and I start to sneeze.
I turn to Jay and say βI think Iβm allergic to someoneβs cologneβ
Jay responds, βHmmm, Iβm not wearing cologne, it must be Al or Geeβsβ
In my business law class we were discussing this court case. In the case, a woman named Courtney was hitting off the tee box at a country club and sliced the shot off the course. The ball hit a guy who was working on a nearby roof, and gave him permanent brain damage. Our professor then asked us who we thought was responsible for the damages: the golf course, the course designer, or the woman. A student in the back asks "Well what if Courtney was drunk while she was playing" to which our professor responded
"Well then we would just have a classic case of drinking... and driving."
I'm still not sure which was louder, my friend and I bursting out laughing or the collective groan that filled the room.
Years ago I used to use a LexisNexis database of companies that would give corporate information like name, address, and general business description. While most of them were pretty bland, there were a bunch of them with some really cheesy puns, and over a few years I built quite a collection.
Today I share with you "NEXIS IS RIDICULOUS.txt":
We're in the middle of moving and i just got my bookshelves all set up. Unfortunately, there isn't enough space in one single room for them all (I've got too many, like addiction level). My wife brings up that the author 'B' section probably has the most books. I'm pretty sure it's 'S' names. Then she unleashes, "That makes sense, because it's just a bunch of b.s." Golf clap.
While watching golf, some golfer named Chris Wood came on the screen.
Dad: "Hey, any of you guys know his brother, Stiff?"
