Goeppertia or Calathea?
So… apparently all but two of my Calatheas are actually Goeppertia, yet no one seems to be using this name. There’s that g.d. bot that loves to remind you that Tree Philodendron is really Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum, but the Calathea conundrum hasn’t ruffled the feathers of a persnickety plant person enough to warrant such a response.
Should I repot my goeppertia insignis? Roots are really only visible like that on the bottom.

Goeppertia insignis(Rattlesnake plant) care
Hello all, kinda new to house plants, but I recently got a Rattlesnake plant a few months back and I repotted it with miracle gro indoor potting soil. I noticed it seems to stay moist for a very long time. Looking into it, I should have cut the soil with perlite to help with drainage. Should I worry about changing the soil right away or wait until I repot again? Plant seems to be doing okay. Should I just adjust my watering routine? Thanks in advance!

Thick roots? This plant i got is ill. Therefore i cut the leaves and wanted to repot it. Then i got to see these roots... should i use something in addition to a bigger pot? Goeppertia from an office.
