It may seem inconsequential, but imagine if you belong to a group and the name of your network is just reinforcing a stereotype of how you are seen? Like what if the black employee network was called “the hood” or some stereotypical bullshit like that? People would be justifiably angry.
I’m so over these big corporations acting like they’re a part of every single little subculture and so inclusive when their main way to operate is just to take advantage of such negative stereotypes as if to portray a group in a homogenized way
I noticed I always picture Ru in drag when I hear a RuPaul song, not consciously, jsut automatically. But my friend always pictures him out of drag. What do you picture?

- Item: Scott Barnes Glamazon Palette
- Price/Budget: It costs $84 Regular Price, $71.40 on sale today
- Why do you want this specific item?: It's a cool-toned palette and I definitely do better with cool tones. Also, it has a gray color in it that looks like what I've been looking for in a gray eyeshadow. I do wear gray quite often but I do not have anything matte like the light gray color Portfolio. I've done my research and watched multiple swatch videos to be sure. It looks like the exact thing I want, but will I really buy a whole palette because of the gray shades in it? There are two additional grays that would complement my everyday look. I use gray like most people use beige. The other shades in the palette are useful to me as well, but I can dupe a good portion of it with other palettes.
- What comparable items do you have in your collection?: I have a lot of eyeshadow. I have quite a few Natasha Denona palettes, including the Glam palette which does have some overlap with this palette. I have the Blueberry Muffin palette from BH Cosmetics. It's not exactly a dupe, but it does have the dark blue and a very close dupe to the brighter blue. I have a similar light purple shade in a Stila palette (I can't recall the name). I do have a purple monochromatic palette as well from Menagerie Cosmetics. It has quite a few dark purples and a couple of lavender shades, so I'm sure I've got the purple covered.
- Have you tested it out in person?: No, that isn't possible at this time. They don't actually sell it anywhere by me that I can physically visit. It's only online.
- What is making you pause/create a TMO in the first place?: I'm on a low buy and only supposed to buy one thing each month. I've been doing well lately and then all of a sudden I found myself at the mall with some friends and we went to a department store where they told me that if I used my card I could get 15% off. I went home and shopped the website and it turns out this Scott Barnes palette was for sale online only. I've been wanting this thing since I saw the gray swatches several months ago. I instantly put it in my cart along with a purse I think is cute. I'm tempted because it's the best sale I've seen for Scott Barnes. A few months ago I messed up and bought three things in one month. I told myself I wouldn't buy anything for a few months to make up for it. I think that was in January, so technically I could purchase this and call it my purchase for May. Part of me wa
