A list of puns related to "General Der Artillerie"
this has always buffled me

Hello there, fellow Scheißposters.
Yesterday I watched Der Untergang/Downfall, for like the twentieth time, admittedly. I think it's a masterpiece, in my opinion, German war cinema conveys a general anti-war message (think of Das Boot, Generation War, etc), as opposed to usually big budget Hollywood-esque films, with the epic music and all that stuff.
I like that the Untergang Hitler, exquisitely portrayed by the late Bruno Ganz, has some humanity in him, and might seem like a good guy to talk to, but then he snaps into his usual anti-Semitic tirades, delusional and deranged orders, etc. I don't mean "humanizing Hitler" in a wholesome way, but rather as a warning and reminder than genocide masterminds are not aliens or otherworldly creatures, but rather humans like you and I, who could have the potential to become such monsters.
So, what are your thoughts on the movie? Do you share the same sentiment? Let's discuss

Before artillery was integrated into random missions, I welcomed it. I craved it! The battery positions were already decorating the battlefields, after all; why wouldn't they be trying to stop my assault?
And I loved what they brought to beachheads! I was thrilled jumping over arty splash in my dedicated GHR-5P and BJ-A beachhead recon boats! My sweaty palms ached as I gripped the controller to the point of failure with every whistle and crump! I love the smell of brass and cordite in the morning! Smells like crushed Drac!
Et cetera.
The reality of this addition has definitely been a mixed bag though, leaning hard into the "yeesh, artillery... this feature sucks" camp.
I would never send my Leopard- which in the case of MW5M is both my livelihood and home- into any conflict with an active artillery threat if I were going to take fire on the ship in the first seconds of the drop.
I don't bring a jump-capable fast striker capable of quickly countering artillery positions onto every 90 difficulty Warzone I drop into.
I should never have to sideline my primary objective just to spend five to ten minutes hunting cannon cockers in the woodline, sometimes scattered around nearly 3 klicks from the farm I should be defending. This is annoying and boring, but if I don't go do it I'll probably be ripped to shreds. Kind of a buzz kill either way.
And I shouldn't have to leave the warzone field early because my Atlas is going to lose an arm not due to close combat, but because artillery targeted me and only me for those first five to ten minutes of the engagement.
Also, why am I the only target? Shouldn't they be pounding their own primary objective, the farm?
I would love to see a few minor additions and adjustments to the NPC steel rain, to address those imbalances and get me back into immediate action doing what I came down to this rock to do- pounding mechs and mechbays into dust.
Or you could throw another option onto the in-mission airstrike menu option: SEEK AND DESTROY. This option would assign airstrikes to knock out half of the cannons per point spent until t
