A list of puns related to "Gemini Wind Farm"
This is an automatic summary, original reduced by 33%.
> Over the next 15 years, the Gemini wind park would meet the energy needs of about 1.5 million people due to a generating capacity of some 600 megawatts at full winds, the operators said during an inauguration ceremony on Monday.
> The 2.8-billion-euro project is a collaboration between the Canadian independent renewable-energy company Northland Power, wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Wind Power, Dutch maritime contractor Van Oord and waste processing company HVC. With an annual production capacity of 2.6 terawatts of electricity, Gemini is the world's second largest wind farm behind the London Aray park in Britain's Thames river estuary.
> Gemini will contribute about 13 percent of the country's total renewable energy supply, and about 25 percent of its wind power, reducing the Netherlands emissions of carbon dioxide by 1.25 million tons.
> Situated 85 kilometers north of the coast of Groningen, the Gemini wind farm is spread out across 68 square kilometers.
> "We have built the wind farm within the scheduled time, within budget and in a safe manner," said Haag, adding that Gemini would make an "Important contribution to the sustainability of the Netherlands."
> The Dutch government has committed to ensuring that some 14 percent of its energy comes from renewable sources such as wind and solar power by 2020, and 16 percent by 2023, with the aim of being carbon neutral by 2050.

A big oul windfarm is set to be built about 2km south of my parents home in a bogland. It was proposed about 6 years ago and the company surveyed the area and residents to get their opinions and views on it being so close and what they could do to settle any disdain.
About 7 household families, including my parents, regularly convene to liaise with the company spokesperson to set about any demands about the windfarm being built so close.
Every family opposed to it, the oul ones and young ones, all of them against the wind farm.
EVERY household within a 5km radius was offered; free sky TV for a decade, free electricity provided by the wind farm for life, free broadband installed and paid for life, a local park built for the young ones and jobs offered to anyone willing to look after it and finally, free electric car charging points installed for any resident that wants it. Brilliant fucking deal like.
Still, everyone turned down the deal because A) the wind farm will be an eye sore in this already barren wasteland bog, B) noise pollution, although it has been proven it wouldnt be an issue, and C) unwanted machinery and lorries actively driving up and down the roads to build it.
The noise of the residents led to protests in our local towns by people that have absolutely nothing to do with the windfarm and live nowhere near it. My parents and one other household happily accepted the offer but it seems as though everyone in the county doesn't want it, but WHY?
This farm was meant to be built by next year but the residents are out canvassing and getting signatures from OTHER COUNTIES to protest against it, pushing the building back further and further.
What the fuck is wrong with renewable energy? I take pride in seeing windfarms, I think they're lovely knowing they provide electricity using the wind. Offshore obviously would be the best option in any case but this one in particular is in the middle of nowhere, 15km fromc the nearest town. Why the fuck are people against renewable energy?
I always wind up with yaks or alpacas somehow, in most to every run without even really trying.
Like, oneβll self tame or something out of the blue, or Iβll get around to making a barn once the more important parts of the colony are up and running. When thatβs done, thereβs always just a herd of them mucking about or something and Iβm just βguess itβs yaks again!β
I donβt think Iβve ever had a barn with honest to god cows or chickens in it.
