A list of puns related to "Gary Cooper"
I'm 19 (an old soul, I think ...) , and I have only just begun to scratch the surface of the wonderful performances this man was able to put on. I have been most amazed by the films Coop made with Frank Capra, like Meet John Doe & Mr. Deeds Goes To Town , but also really enjoyed his performance in Lubitsch's Design For Living. He is quickly becoming one of my most favorite actors, particularly for his ability to portray the good ol' average Joe with particular conviction. What are your favorite performances from Coop? And based on the ones I enjoyed from him, what might you recommend for me to watch next? Thanks!! :-)
Let me tell you a couple of three things about Carmine Sr, so hear me out:
He was a great man, he invented point-shaving, great legacy he left behind. him and those fish lips of his. He is healthy as a freaking rhino, that guy.
Very 100% business-focused on making money, doesn't want Ralph-freaking-thief wack over an off-colored remark. He also demands you to name a price or get the F over it.
He also tells you to answer the F thing. He believes there's no stigmata these days. And he seemed to have loved and raised his son well.
He is concerned for Tony's well being, offers to give advice such as: a don doesn't wear shorts, and to be a better friend to yourself.
He sometimes asked about Paulie and knows him well. He appreciates your thoughts, didn't say nothing, and he'll talk to you
He meant a lot to all his friends, not just financially either.
He can smell burning hair.
Egg salad, whatever happened there
He misses his violin
and he's lonely, all alone on the other side, it ain't right
Catching up on my r/old_recipes reading, and the Johnny Cake post intrigued me and made me think of this recipe. I tend to make these when I have leftover buttermilk from other recipes. The addition of the cornmeal gives them and interesting texture and flavor.
Note: I have never gotten 20 cakes out of this, and I usually add more cream/half & half to get a better consistency. The batter is very thick.
