To not frog-et that one is toad-ly different than the other.
The frogs shown in the 1.19 showcase don't look like frogs, but more like toads. Here is a toad VS frog comparison.
Also note that frogs are less resilient to aridity (dryness), while toads are more capable of surviving in such environments. If we're seeing 'frogs' in desert biomes, they should be toads instead.
In short, frogs either need to be reskinned and remodeled to look like actual frogs, or at least be renamed as toads.

Yes, I am aware that toads fit under the category or frogs. The point being, is that when you ask a kid what a frog is, they would probably think of the green jumpy little fella that likes to swim around in lakes and hop on lilypads. Toads are from the family Bufonidae, and don't do any of that.
Minecraft tries to stay faithful with how the widely accepted look of a certain feature is, and if Minecraft were eventually to add 'true frogs' (the kind that are green, from the family Ranidae), the name is already taken by a mob that's in all visual aspects, a toad.
The golden toad is a now-extinct species that hasn't been seen in over 30 years. I think putting it in Minecraft and having it spawn incredibly rarely would be a nice nod to real-world ecology.

EDIT: as u/Matinja8 suggested, the Golden Frog should not be able to be bred/be acquired by breeding, to cement it's rarity and to force you to take care of it and protect it.

i just got the best christmas gift i've ever gotten
my mom hand-knitted toad from frog and toad and stuffed him so he's a lil plushie. he has little overalls. he smells like lavender. he is beautiful, he has a little scrumply face, he is my cherished, i love him so.
