A list of puns related to "Flexatx"
Hey folks,
I read about ppl warning about exchanging the fan to Noctuas in FlexATX PSUs. I just did that and now I wanted to make sure stuff was OK.
Before we start:
Anyway, I swapped the fan on my Silverstone FX350-G. From a 15mm to a Noctua 40x10mm. It's a tiny and thin fan. Not perfect, but might do the trick. My hardware draws around 220watts (Ryzen 3600, undervolted tho, RTX 2060, etc) at full-load (which it never does in real-life, since you don't load the cpu and gpu at 100% at the same time, for this test I did 100% on both).
I wanted to make sure that everything was OK. The FX350-G is rated to run at 350 watts load in 40c with it's original fan. Unfortunately I didn't test anything with the original fan (I know, it sucks). The load was just over 50% which should mean 90% efficiency and around 20 watts of heat produced by the PSU (if I got that right). Anyway, I measure the temperature on top of the PSU (surface) and also the air temperature out of the PSU by measure the temp of the fan grill on the back.
Ambient was 20c during the whole test.
So...with a PSU that can do 40c intake air and run at 100% load - I think getting 52c air out of the psu is totally fine, especially since the air is not moving as fast as with original fan (=more time to heat up). And I know that the PSU would turn off if it gets too hot (I mean, it's the same as if the fan would die for some other reason).
With that said: would I do the mod if I had 39c at home and hardware that is drawing 350 watts? No.
Hello all,
I'm looking for a Mini ITX case that can carry 3x or 4x 3,5" or 2,5" drives and powered by an FlexATX or an Pico PSU. I wasn't able to find a good one on the internet and hopefully got some suggestions here.
Hi all,
I've got these items I no longer use for sale because I'm moving to a bigger case to open up more GPU options and watercooling (still SFF though!!! Meshlicious whenever it finally ships). I prefer to sell these as a bundle so those will get priority, but if individual buyers are found I am open to that as well. Only used these for a few months before I caved and really wanted a bigger GPU and to OC my CPU.
Local to Central Florida area, near Disney.

Hi all,
Looking to clear out a bunch of things I'm not using anymore, shipping to CONUS only.
Comment before PM please, thanks!
EDITS: prism cooler sold for asking to u/sskaats23, 3400G sold for asking to u/justin4bama
Finally getting around to listing more of my stuff! I am not parting out these bundles, thank you for understanding!
Ryzen 5 2600 / MSi B450i ITX Motherboard
Purchased from here a few weeks ago. It's actually no longer needed. Most I did with this system is get it to the BIOS but the CPU and board have no issues. The board is missing the M.2 screw and WiFi antennas but the carbon-fiber wrapped heatsinks more than make up for it in my opinion :P $210 shipped Sold to /u/JayHotspur3
Consider bundling this with the motherboard to save me some time and money. Not much to say about this cooler since I didn't get a chance to use it extensively, but it's apparently much quieter than the L9i/L9a. Have fun mounting this one! $50 shipped, $40 if bundled with other items
If you thought the regular video card market was hard to buy from, try sourcing a single-fan AMD card! The one I ended up purchasing was broken, and with no more card leads in sight, I don't see how I'd be able to build in this chassis. I paid $275 for this and Velkase has a 5% restocking fee. This is brand new in box and hasn't left the plastic wrapping. I'll take a bit of a loss so that I'm not hanging on to it and ask $260 shipped. If you want to bundle in the motherboard bundle and/or the CPU cooler, please let me know so we can work something out. Pending to /u/20815147
92mm Chromax / 80mm IDCooling fans
These came with the aforementioned broken card, and the seller has been kind enough to let me keep them. Selling lets me split the return shipping cost. There are three two 92mm Chromax fans, one with accessories and two slim 80mm IDCooling fans. $50 Shipped
Ah, the Switch. This poor console hasn't seen use for the past year and a half. Everything is in pretty good condition with normal wear on the ABS plastic of the joycons - no drifting that I've experienced. Included is the console itself, four joycons (Blue, Red, Green and Yellow), a physical copy of Mario Party, a 128GB SD card, four joycon rail straps, the joycon charging grip, a modified dock (more on that in a sec) and HDMI, USB-C to USB-A and USB-C wall adapter cables. The dock is using the official docking station hardware a
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hi there, does anyone know of a place that would make custom cables for a flexATX power supply? I have the Seasonic SSP-300SUG which is modular, but does not have PCIE power. I also have a pinout for it and it should be possible to add that in (I don't need molex or SATA power).
CustomMOD's website shows cabling for that exact PSU, but when I reached out to them they sounded confused and told me they don't sell it. So that's special.
Any other companies or individuals that may be good to reach out to?
Someone knowledgeable enough in electricity that could tell if the DELL 6W2PW could be used with ordinary consumer hardware?
For the wattage and second hand price it's a very interesting option if so!
Silverstone have finally released full specs on their FlexATX 500w unit. Looks promising for sure and nice to have a readily available high(ish) power flex unit.
Looking for all versions of the K39. Would prefer a package deal with a power supply.
Local is 94539 and 95126.
Thank you.
Hey all,
I've got a 7660b for sale that I just pulled out of my K39v2 rig, powered a 1600AF and an R9 Nano for a few months until I decided I wanted a less limiting case. This is one similar to the black one available from Velkase, this was one of the SFFTec "Pro" ones. It has a reduced set of cables and shorter cable lengths, in all black. I picked it up from here on hardwareswap and it's powered my system flawlessly.
Asking $160 shipped or best offer. Please comment before PMing.
Currently still using the K39 with the SFX-L PSU for the next case routed externally, if this doesn't sell before I get ahold of either an SV540 or an ssupd Meshlicious then I'll later be listing this as a bundle with the K39 and a Noctua NH-L9i.
Thanks for looking!
Hi
I have a single board computer in flexATX format, needs no cooling, needs no GPU, needs no drive bays, and I want to put it in the smallest possible case.
I don't need much power only 80W or 120W would be more than enough. Ideally it would be external so the case could be even smaller.
Does such a thing exist? Or any 3D printed ones around?
Background: Built my first SFF last month. A B450 Ryzen 2700 + GTX1660 system on a K39 case & top-of-the-line Enhance 600W PSU. Last night, after 3 hours of continuous GTA Online, the PSU went 'pop', tripping the circuit breaker. Status of other hardware yet to be assessed.
Things I've learnt so far:
Too little, too late. An expensive mistake.
Any other feedback/questions are welcomed... T_T

Update: All other components are fine, thank God. Well, at least this shows that Enhance's OCP, OVP, and SCP are reliable. OTP was a catastrophic fail.
Any recommendations on efficient (80 Plus Gold or better) 1U or FlexATX PSUs? Preferably as quiet as possible (I know 1U and quiet is a paradox).
I only need 200-250W.
Hi all,
Looking for these items to "complete" my SFF build. Looking to spend at most $150 on the PSU since I'm waiting for the restock at Velkase but open to other options.
The fan and fan duct would be the two things I need to get temps exactly where I want them. There's a bit of a hot air recycling problem with the NH-L9a in this case, and using a cardboard fan duct right now seems to have solved it.
Hi all,
I'm doing a build in a K39 soon with a R5 1600AF and a R9 Nano, and it seems the Enhance 7660b is out of stock everywhere. What is the next quietest PSU that should hold this CPU and GPU? 65W + 175W TDP but the R9 can go up to 225W with its 8pin PCIe connector, and I don't think I can do much CPU overclocking on a Noctua L9a.
Probably something around 450-500W to have headroom and stay at low PSU load?
Thanks in advance.
I am planning to do a velka 3 build, apparently the stock fan of a flex atx psu is really loud, which fan should i buy so that it is quieter and does not overheat
A few others and I are thinking about making a breakout board for the standard 24 pin, 8 pin EPS, 8 Pin PCIe, etc. That attaches to those compact server PSUs (86mmX38mmX190mm) because of how cheap they are for high wattages ($30 for 1000w, etc.) Is there any interest is a solution like this?
Selling my Velka M SFF Case. It's a nice sff case but I think i'd like to buy the Lone L5 instead. It's just got a small scratch on the front which is hardly noticeable. It's awesome because it can support and internal flex power supply, for a brickless setup. Comes with 2x80mm case fans, dust filters, pcie riser, and all accessories that come with the case.
I'm also selling a Seasonic 300W Gold Power supply, fits perfectly inside the case, and is plenty reliable and relatively quiet. The power supply has been used for less than six months.
I'll sell the case for $80 USD, and the power supply for $30 USD. I'll sell both of them together as a bundle for $90. You save $10.
I can ship within Canada and ConUS via a tracked Canada Post parcel. Pm me for shipping. I'll take payment over PayPal.

Has anyone had experience with these Flex ATX PSUs from China?Any clue on if it performs better/worse than a Silverstone 350W unit. Considering moving to a Velka clone and wondering if it is worth the hassle of trying to underclock to hit power targets.

Selling a CustomMod 4.5 L SFF Mini ITX case that can accommodate most small form factor GPU's. I have tested the EVGA GTX 1060 6 GB and Gigabyte GTX 1080, small ones. Both fit well. Including a FSP Electronics FlexATX PSU rated at a Gold standard and gives 400 W, more than sufficient it was for my GTX 1060. The case doesn't have a power button so you would need to figure out a solution for powering on the PC. But other than that, the case is pretty good, cute and compact.

Summary The aim of the build was to make a PC case that was small enough to be used as a living room Home Theatre PC or games console. The PC case also needed to accomodate powerful components that would far exceed the graphics potential of retail games consoles. As a stretch goal, if the console could render games in true 4K, then that would seal it's success.
Note:If you're looking at the log or full album. You might see that I did actualy make the case in different styles; modern, black and antique
Components
Skylake i7 6700K processor
Noctua CPU cooler
Asus z170i ITX Motherboard
16GB DDR4 2400Mz RAM
400W Power Supply
256Gb Samsung M.2 SSD
AMD R9 Nano (Fury series)
Li-Heat premium shielded PCI-E riser cable
I really pushed the potential of what I could fit into a case that measures up at 62mm in height. All standard fans are binned, instead opting for direct fresh air flow to components through the perforated top of the console. I did end up adding a bracket that supports 40mm fans to exhaust hot air for the graphics card though.
Case materials and measurements The case has a steel inner frame and is plated in brushed aluminium and glass-like Perspex on the top and botton, to show off all of those components. The case is designed like a console - with no screws on show from the front, just four hex bolts that lock the lid into place. The front IO has 2 USB ports and a power button. Inside the case, cable anchors line the front of the case, tidying all cables away and making for a neat build.
The premium PCI-E riser cable allows the console to orientate the graphics card flat, next to the motherboard for optimum space saving design. The cable itself is electromagnetically shielded to ensure no performance is lost or hardware issues occur.
The case measures 63mm (H) x 412mm (W) x 208mm (D).
Playtest I've been testing the performance and heat. I've been able to play the latest DOOM game on 1080p and the average frame rate over the hour session was about 100FPS. I did also play in 4K for a short time and while the frames weren't quite as good, it did manage

I have very limited knowledge of flexATX compatibility, however, and the only option I've seen so far is the Geeek A30; FWIW I think the case looks fresh af, but I don't know how to get one. For United States-based buyers, are there any other case options that the sff community recommends?
Thank you!
