A list of puns related to "Ferrero Rocher"
Has anyone ever ordered a ferrero rocher cake in Toronto? Must be able to deliver. Or perhaps knows a custom cake place that you would recommend?
Thank you βΊοΈ
Admittedly I spat out the hazelnut centres, but this goes to show how important chewing can be for us.
Also, I'm 10 months post surgery, so I would exercise some caution to new ostomates!
on top of everything i ate for the day already π feeling reeaaallll bad rn
edit: thank you to the ppl who kindly pointed out that i did my math wrong!! i glanced at the nutrition info after scarfing them down and didnβt realize that 150 calories was for two pieces. so i only ate 450!! to the one user who is HOUNDING me for getting that wrong..,sorry??
Right, this is quite random but it has been more than 10 occasions over the last months that I started noticing this:
eating Ferrero Roher chocolate balls is barely affecting my blood sugar (= I need much less insulin compared to normal chocolate).
I run with a ration of 1 unit per 10-12gr of carbs. Which is mostly accurate in most foods, including chocolate bars, cakes etc.
Whenever I am having Ferrero Rocher if I do the same amount of insulin I will 99.99% end up with a hypo.
Example. According to this table one ball has 5gr of carbs. So, per my ratio I need one unit per 2 balls.
I have tried with eating 2, 3, or 8 (yes, 8), always rounding down my insulin and I ALWAYS had hypo. I even have tried with no extra insulin and had 2 balls and ended up with hypo again. No extra insulin = I only had in my body whatever was left from my dinner.
Note: I do not have highs later. If I have couple of ferrero rocher after dinner it is almost certain my night time sugars will be great....
I know it is not possible but is anyone else have strange reactions with specific foods??
My partner and I joke 'oh you are going high after dinner, have a ferrero rocher :D'
Some other notes for me:
T1 for 20+ years. HbA1c at 38mmol/mol (5.6%), slightly overweight but working on it.
