A list of puns related to "Falcon Northwest"
I know that its beat if I build one myself, or have the local Microcenter do it for me, but given how hard GPUs are to get a hold of right now I'd rather have a good backup. I know that both of these are insanely expensive, but I want to be absolutely sure that I will be getting a quality build. So I just want your guy's opinion.
And just one more time, I know that I should build one myself, but right now I just want actual advice for these two options.
Does anybody know whether the winner for the Falcon Northwest Custom CoryxKenshin PC has been chosen?
I'm planning on buying a pre-built with an ATX case. My budget is $6,000. I've been researching every company I could find. I've pretty much narrowed down my selection to Maingear or Falcon Northwest. Both companies seem to be top of the line in terms of build quality and components. I'm not interested in custom water cooling or a custom paint job. Is there anything else that would give Maingear an edge over Falcon Northwest?
TLDR:
Send email to gaben@valvesoftware.com with the subject "Falcon Northwest - The Heart of Racing Contest" for a chance to win a free computer.
Background:
I've been a long time customer of Falcon Northwest ( https://www.falcon-nw.com/ ) for my personal and work machines. These are machines I buy for myself, not machines that Valve buys. I don't get any promotional consideration, I just like Kelt and his team.
It was time for me to get new machines, so as a way of saying "thank you" to Falcon Northwest, I thought I'd run a contest.
I also am part of the Heart of Racing ( https://www.heartofracingteam.com/ ), a group of motorsports enthusiasts who race and raise money for Seattle Children's Hospital.
I am going to give away two machines on October 15th. The email you send to me needs to have an associated Steam account as of today (so that people don't bot spam the contest, not because we are using this to create Steam accounts).
Here are the specs of the machines that will be given away:
I am sure everyone will agree these are the perfect machines right now, but for the tiny tiny tiny minority who disagree, feel free to send gaben@valvesoftware.com with the subject "I can't believe you are such an idiot."

In addition to the giveaway of these machines, I'll also donate $1 to Seattle Children's Hospital for each subscriber to the race teams YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUxfA_QBcHCx8jGsR_TywPQ/featured ).

... keep reading on reddit โกThe stigma against buying a prebuilt has come down in recent times, especially during a gpu shortage. Prebuilts can be the only way to reliably find new hardware. I've built my own computer before, but now that I have money, I'm gonna let someone build it for me.
But when people hear prebuilt, they often think of bestbuy or walmart prebuilts. I'm looking at "boutique" pc makers. You know, high end companies. Who don't just give you a list of sku's but actually custom make the computer for you.
I was leaning towards the digital storm aventum x, but I'll be honest, I know little about what makes a good computer good besides the parts. By that i mean, I don't know what cases have good thermals, who has a bad reputation for illogical builds, bad cable management, bad support, using shitty parts, etc.
Now i'm leaning towards the falcon northwest talon. For the same parts, its a hair cheaper, and honestly I trust the company slightly more.
But I'm hoping you guys can help me. Should i go for one of these? or another boutique builder altogether?
Hello everyone. Before you give me the โbuild your pc, itโs easyโ argument. I know. Iโve built plenty PCs in my lifetime. Too many. Iโve done beautiful PCs. With Corsair cases and RGB fans. Unfortunately I have severe OCD. Diagnosed OCD I might add. Many here wonโt understand it but itโs To the point where I always find something wrong when building even if itโs nothing. I canโt enjoy it. This happened to my last 4 builds. So I am giving up and going with a pre built. I accepted my fate. I had a xidax once but they they cable managed with tape and put the PSU fan blocked. Annoyed me.
It brought me to Origin PC vs Falcon Northwest. I like the falcon northwest case. Itโs different from the Corsair cases origin uses and I used over my lifetime building. I also like that falcon are using the Asus Dark Hero x570. I am just wondering about falcon northwest because itโs hard to find reviews on them. Even resellerratings has only 36 reviews compared to puget and origin pc thousands of ratings on that site. I know falcon northwest from back in the day when I was in high school so I know they have been around. I just want some modern responses from people. I assuming the lack of reviews is because they are a very niche group. More expensive then origin. I do not mind spending the price if I get good cable management and service.
Anyone here own a Falcon Northwest PC? Just ordered mine and super stoked for it to arrive next month. I know building your PC yourself from scratch is usually the way to go, but I've wanted a Falcon PC since I was a teenager and finally pulled the trigger.
