A list of puns related to "European Movement International"
I am from Romania and I have been in Greece multiple times. Last time when I visited Thessaloniki, which was a few years ago, I was surprised to see so much communist/anarchist graffiti on the streets/monuments/churches/basically any place reached by hand. Furthermore, from my accomodation I could hear the sounds of police clash with some anarchist protestors during the night. I wasn't worried or anything like that, but that evening I walked around the central part of the city and didn't see any sign of impending protest.
Most of my Greek friends or people of my age coming from Greece tend to be very left-wing oriented or actually part of communist organisations. When I asked one of them why there is such a wide presence of communist/anarchist movements in Greece, they just told me "it's like a tradition for us, and we see it as normal".
Is there any historical or sociological reason that makes communist/anarchist movements to exist in such a large number in Greece, compared to other countries in Europe? (maybe I've seen something similar in Spain, but I'm interested mostly in the Greek perspective). And do you think it is like something "traditional"?
The is the greatest market movement you will witness in your lifetime. I strongly believe that after this AMC squeeze is over, the feds and sec will step in and ensure that it wonβt happen again. But as for now, they canβt stop us.
Citadel have systems to bet against retail investor emotions. It works for the past 50 years but not now. Why? Retail investors in the past are people that have some savings and most of them started investing after 40 years old. They invest by fundamentals on company such as MacDonalds, funds, Banks and etc. Do take note that there isnβt any social media at the past. Wallstreets can easily spread words of mouth that this stock is good and retail investors will just follow and get manipulated without knowing it. These retail investors are currently 50-80 years old, they might lose a fortune, they might made a fortune in this lifetime. They are called bulls.
So what happened in this era, this century? Social media is everywhere, in fact itβs the channel where humans connect to each other all over the world. Iβm from singapore and you might be sitting in your crouch reading this post from California. Thatβs the power of social media. Fun fact: do you know that in 2020, 78% of the retail investor that opened a brokerage account is below 25 years old? What does that mean?
Prices are high, life is difficult. Young adults canβt catch up to afford housing or car loans or student loans. That forcing the new generation to think creatively. Some do e-commerce, some are influencer, some are youtuber. All these jobs are only created in the past few years as social media rise. This generation of investors are different.
They would rather risk everything they had and bet for a fortune. Their risk tolerance is 10X higher than the old generation that are 50-80years old currently. Why? Because they simply have nothing to lose. If their bank account is back to $0, let it be. At least they tried. That wouldnβt be the way 20years ago.
These people are called APES. Basically they rather YOLO then regret for their whole life for not taking part. Therefore, HF systems does not work well on them. If this is the BULL ERA, once institution short the stocks heavily, the BULL will sell and proud to make a profit. But in this APE ERA, they short it heavily and the apes just keep buying it. Even those with daily financial issues are buying 1 share at a time.
If Iβm citadel, I seriously do not know what to do right now. But to drag the squeeze and hope t

Most of the great political movements in Victoria's timeframe were very much international-- the most obvious examples being the 1848 revolutions, which gripped all of Europe and rippled through to the Mexican-American War and US Civil War, and the Bolshevik revolution, which was explicitly internationalist and coincided with (failed) communist revolutions elsewhere. The question of national vs international liberation was an incredibly important debate among both liberals and socialists of the time, and should affect large geopolitical decisions, like how a country's colonies should be handled after revolution, how belligerent a newly revolutionary country should be against its neighbors, and if revolutionary countries should seek political unity in e.g. a supranational Soviet Union.
This doesn't apply to just left-wing politics though, as periods of reaction after the Napoleonic Wars and 1848 were also coordinated between the European great powers, with reactionary figures like Metternich playing an advisory role in Russia as well as his home Austria in opposing constitutional reform. The entrenchment of absolutism in Russia was in part a reaction to revolutions in Western Europe, not just to unrest at home. Even radical nationalists and fascists sought to emulate and cooperate with established fascist regimes e.g. Mussolini, beyond what a simple relation boost or alliance can describe.
As it stands, in Victoria 2, international political movements are either hard-coded (1848) or otherwise nonexistent. This is particularly glaring with communism, where countries can just sporadically go communist by themselves without much relation to each other. A communist Germany just kind of sits there, doing what any other Germany would do, competing with France and Russia but suffering an extra relations malus; it doesn't try to spread the revolution, or rally contacts in other countries. It also doesn't inspire reaction and fascism in other countries, as the Soviet Union did IRL.
Some Victoria 2 mods try to model these international effects by applying modifiers encouraging certain ideologies when a neighboring country undergoes revolution. This helps a bit but is insufficient, as it does not model explicit international cooperation between governments and parties. Organizations like the Second and Third Internationals were important in coordinating the policies of socialist parties in

-Why/why not would the KKK be considered the first fascist movement?
-If they did influence the later European fascist movements, in what ways did this influence manifest?
-More generally I guess, apart from the ultranationalist/racist aspects, what similarities and differences were there between the KKK and these other movements?
-Finally, did the KKK ever explicitly plan on seizing complete control of the apparatus of the state the way Italian Fascism and Nazism did? Aside from terrorising black people and generally maintaining white supremacy, what were the KKKβs explicit political aims?
Apologies if these questions are poorly phrased, missing the point or have been asked before. Iβm obviously not a historian at all. I just find it interesting how, while we would clearly identify the current iterations of the Klan as being fascist, they obviously preceded the later movements who basically defined the term. Thanks very much!
What are some specific examples of Native American tribes that were wiped out by other tribes in pre-contact North America? Beyond just the basic facts are there any sources referencing the movement of humans and how currently recognized tribes were able to win territory?
I've found some decent info on fighting between tribes/cultures in Central and South America but I'm having trouble finding some good examples of tribes which were wiped out (or forcefully absorbed) by competing groups in pre-Columbus North America. One example I've found is the Mississippian culture building walls in attempt to defend itself before ultimately losing and disappearing as a group. Any further details on such events (such as aggressors, causes, types or warfare, etc.) would be incredibly helpful. Thanks in advance.

While I was intrigued at first, the ideas they convey very much sound like an authoritarian liberal democracy (they define their movement as in support of liberal democracy). They also show policies for cultural assimilation, wanting to create a "unified European identity". To me, there already is such a thing, and it doesn't go through cultural unity (oh how boring it would be), but through adversity and plurality! The European identity is made of our differences, and subsequent necessary cooperation. Lux Euvropæ seems to push a very ominous agenda, and I'd very much enjoy seeing your opinions on it. I'll link their website, and I encourage you to give it a read. Their manifesto is available in French, English, Italian, and a bastardised esperanto-ish they call Neolatino (which is surprisingly understandable).

This task is impossible to acomplish or even define. There are no laws to define what is to be returned or even what is to considered stolen.
Following this trend we would have evacuate the entire americas worth of people to give back the land that was stolen? Or undo any cultural exchange doe to copyrights? Modern concepts doesn't translate well to history. Its better to leave it alone
EDIT: okay guys, you've convinced me. Im still kinda on the fence but now I can make sense of the others side argument. Thank you guys. I love it when I can see things in a new way. I was really using the slippery slope in the land argument and didn't noticed
Or do you think black people in the same circumstances would not commit the same atrocities as white people? I am wondering as an American POC. Is the state of social anger due to people being, for lack of a better term, sore losers?
