So many people talk about how Tarkov is dead. Ive been playing Tarkov for about a year and a half and although the game has gotten dry at different times for me I have never thought it was dead. Many players have left after a couple of months into a wipe. I understand. The viewership is down. I understand. NEW PLAYERS ARE STILL JOINING. I've interacted with tons of people in game who have told me this is their first wipe. People may claim that it is dead. But come the next wipe. The next drop of content. And the Volcano that is Tarkov will explode again. The playerbase will explode back into the game like it usually does. We can call Tarkov dead all we want but it's not. It's dormant.

I enjoy myself some shooters, from CS:GO and Valorant, to R6. Tarkov seems interesting since it escapes that 'team' play style. Also I heard that there is some type of player controlled marketplace /economy here? (A player controlled economy/marketplace is something that I personally love) Haven't really done much research into that part of the game but I've seen the realistic vibes the game is trying to give the players, from watching some short clips on YouTube.
What other things are there to know that are vital before purchasing the game? How long do players stay in the game? Are there tons of bugs that make the game unplayable at times? These are some of the questions I want to have answered to make an informed purchase on this game, but please do share any positive or negative feedback/comment about this game. Thanks!
I'm 20 MtF from Germany and just started playing Tarkov. If there's anyone that wants to play with me and teach me some stuff feel free to DM me. So far I've mostly played on Customs and already got a bit familiar with that map. My English kinda sucks tho, so be prepared.. xD
I don't much care for the gun customization, different types of ammo, hyper realistic nature of its combat and so on. What does interest me is the "Invest gear to make yourself strong, and set out to gather more" gameplay loop.
Especially interesting is the fact that you have maps which require you to buy a ticket in, and allow you to get into sealed rooms with special keys/key cards for a chance at better loot.
Basically, a high risk, high reward type of game in which you either risk it all to get more, or invest very little, but end up being much weaker as a result.
Hello, I'm debating if I should buy or not EFT. I'm from Argentina, does anyone know if servers are actually active over here? Are there enough players to not sit in queue for +10 minutes? Thanks.

Getting started in Tarkov can be pretty overwhelming, so here's a quick guide on how to get started.
- Look at every trader in the "Trading" section, and use the middle mouse button to examine all the items they offer.
- Do a Scav run. A scav run means that you get a free set of gear and a free pass into any map except The Lab. This is a great way to learn the maps and extracts.
- Search for Tarkov maps online. I recommend MapGenie, as you can pick and choose what locations you see. (Select extracts and spawns first).
- Don't bring your best PMC gear into your first raid! You're gonna die with it. Sorry, that's just a fact of life.
- If you can, find some friends to show you the ropes!

I have quite a few hours into EFT and have gotten to a point where I realize some of my deaths come from not being able to pinpoint footsteps with my current headset.
