Denna genomgång gjordes av mig för att själv få en överblick på dels vilka bolag som finns och vad de i sin tur innehåller. I de fall ett bolag har allt för många bolag under sig kommer jag inte att lista alla. Exempelvis Indutrade äger över 200 bolag, och alla dessa tror jag få är intresserade av. Istället kan ett sådant bolag få beskrivas lite mer målande. Bara noterade bolag kommer att finnas med i listan.

Vidare kommer jag inte göra någon direkt jämförelse av nyckeltal då investmentbolags-formen och ett konglomerat använder siffrorna lite olika i sina redovisningar. Ett investmentbolag som ex. Investor räknar ut ett substansvärde där man sedan då kan se om handlar med rabatt eller premie, samtidigt som ett bolag som Lifco absorberar bolagen i sin egen balansräkning och man kan se exempelvis P/E mer rättvist. Därför kan det bli svårt att göra jämförelser rakt över. Däremot kommer jag att addera just rabatt/premie där det går å ena sidan och P/E där det går å andra sidan. Jag gör bedömningen att bolagen ändå är så pass lika att de hör hemma i samma post av den enkla anledningen att deras strategi är att äga och förvärva andra bolag. I minoritet såväl som majoritet, i noterat såväl som onoterat, aktivt såväl som passivt. Tillväxt genom förvärv och investeringar. Givetvis kan det finnas vissa ytterligare skillnader mellan respektive investeringsperspektiv, men syftet är ändå främst att sammanställa vilken exponering man kan få av respektive bolag.

Jag vet att jag kommer att missa bolag, och ni får gärna lägga till i kommentarsfältet.
Kanske kan någon annan också få ut något av detta precis som jag.

I don't quite know if this falls under the DD category but I found a few things that I want to share with you all. Either way, this will be my first attempt at DD or at least a deeper look into this whole shitshow. I hope it is up to the ever increasing standards of this wonderful sub. Moreover, I would like to initiate a discussion about what these findings may mean because I don't have enough wrinkles to make sense of it all. Regardless, I want to dig, dig and dig until I find corpses. Knowing these guys, I probably won't have to dig for long.

Now that I have covered that which even a 4th grader would know, time to get on with it.

I have been doing some research about Melvin Capital and Citadel in the past few days. Mostly looking at their declared positions, their investors, financials etc. During my travels into the interconnected web of rabbit holes, I came upon this website. Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.

I am currently in the hospital. I had a back operation yesterday. The surgical nurse came in my room and started asking questions about my back. She asked me if I had any falls during the last year. I responded just one. It was after summer.

She laughed and said in 20 years of doing this she never was told that joke.

This happened a few years ago when my son was 6ish. When my kids hurt themselves and it doesn’t look serious I always do the “we might have to amputate that bruised hand” shtick with them. I’ve done it enough that they now roll their eyes.

So, my son got hit lightly in the face with a rubber ball. It wasn’t a hard hit and I could tell he was more upset by the shock of it rather than the pain. So I say “looks like we will have to amputate your nose.” To which he replies “then how will I smell?” And I say “terrible!”

It was my greatest dad joke ever. I felt like I could retire after that.

Keep in mind, my son is 4 years old, so everything is an original to him.

I had to work late into the evening yesterday, and he was just going to bed when I got home. I had left home for the office nearly 14 hours prior, had a long day, lots of meetings, traffic, etc.

When I walked through the door, I was exhausted, run down, and starving. My wife hugged me and asked how my day was, and I replied, "Done. It was a good day, but has got me exhausted. I just want to grab a bite and go to bed. I'm hungry."

From my son's bedroom, I hear him shout, "Hi Hungry! Nice to meet you!"

Not only did it make me laugh, but I completely forgot about how hungry and tired I was. I went to his bedroom, and we laughed together about it. It was exactly what I needed.
