A list of puns related to "Drag Queen Names That Are"
I love Cynthia Lee Fontaine and Chi Chi Devayne. They just sound so regal or like high class southern names for for southern belles, and I live for it. My least favorite is probably Madam Laqueer
This is a little off topic but I was watching Drag Race and it got me thinking.
I know that Alaska refers to Sharon by her drag name on the show, and not Aaron, and that's what got me thinking. If drag queens are dating or good friends with other drag queens, and they're out of drag, do they normally refer to each other by their drag names or their normal names?
I realize this also may depend from person to person, but as a whole what is more common?

> SAN FRANCISCO - Facebook's rule that people use their "Real names" on the social network came under fire again Monday when drag queens, Native Americans, domestic violence survivors and others protested outside the company's Menlo Park, Calif., headquarters, saying they are still being harmed by the policy.
> Lil Miss Hot Mess, who declined to provide her legal name, said she and others are trying to draw attention to how Facebook users target and bully others by reporting others for using fake names on the social network.
> "When people use their authentic names on Facebook they are more accountable for what they say. People can be assured that they're really connecting with their loved ones, and no-one can hide behind an anonymous name to bully, taunt or say insensitive or inappropriate things," they wrote.
> Facebook product chief Chris Cox in October publicly apologized for how Facebook's real name policy had affected people.
> "We owe you a better service and a better experience using Facebook, and we're going to fix the way this policy gets handled so everyone affected here can go back to using Facebook as you were," Cox wrote in a Facebook message.
> In 2011, activists including Skud, Eva Galperin, Jillian C. York, and others launched the website MyNameIsMe.org to call for social networks like Facebook and Google+ to allow "Users to identify themselves by whatever name they choose, providing that the name they choose is not, in and of itself, abusive." The site includes resources and personal stories about the importance of online anonymity for many marginalized groups.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I adore the name, my mother picked it out, etc. I know that it's Pretentious As Hell, but my concern is that it is a drag queen name. Like, that's the opposite of what I want, even though I told myself I'd stop caring what people think.
I want to friend them on Facebook before they have too many requests. For science.

People talk a lot about certain queens being too big for drag race (like Sherry Vine, Hedda Lettuce, etc). It seems like a strange place to be in though, because they will always be less popular and less booked than the drag race queens, even though they are seemingly too well known to be on the show.
Some queens like Bianca and Peppermint were borderline "too big" for drag race, and their careers have exploded from their appearance, which would make me think that going on the show would make sense even for some of the more popular queens.
Any thoughts on this? Do you think there really is "too big" for drag race, or would it probably be in the best interest for those queens to go on the show anyways?
Iβm an Ausfag from Sydney, and we had the Mardi Gras gay pride parade this weekend, which, while weβre on the subject of gay pride parades, I think are also in pretty bad taste. Gays, lesbians and trans people the only demographic of people once a year that are allowed to perform mass displays of exhibitionism - parading through the streets in bdsm gear, almost totally naked. Anyway, I digress.
Rupaulβs drag race primarily, as well as all other media and art involving mostly cisgendered men dressing up in womenβs clothing and wearing enormous amounts of makeup are obnoxious, shallow displays of degeneracy. These shows have no entertainment value, apart from maybe morbid interest. If you can bring yourself to listen to and actually watch these hideous looking, completely uninteresting men in essentially female clown costumes, I seriously donβt know how you do it. If youβre trans and actually need to present as the opposite gender to feel better, fine. To make a whole entertainment industry around grown ass men dressing up as women is just fucking weird, and creates so many negative stereotypes about gay men. Itβs just muddying the waters for all of us who have lives that donβt revolve around the lgbt lifestyle, culture, or its media.
I donβt know if you have this so prevalently in America or anywhere else, but every time I see something about Rupauls drag race or any other drag related media on the internet or on tv it makes me want to toss whatever screen Iβm watching it on off my fucking balcony
Sometimes when I watch the queens lip sync at the AS, I'm pretty sure they have worn those before. What are some moments you know?
To help you guys get to know them better, pick early favorites, etc. I didn't include personality stuff or interviews (or nearly enough of their stage performances) cause that'd be way too much stuff, but you can find all the possible content in this bigger catalog from a few months ago if you wanna go beyond what's here. Let me know if there's something else to include, something out of place, etc.
