ATTN: DOUG MCMILLON

Why must you take away our quarterly incentive bonuses in order to give us raises and STILL cut our hours at the same time?! You have also stopped awarding us $150/$300 bonuses for our hard work during the pandemic. Your stores are barely getting by with as many COVID leaves as there are. COVID is on the rise again and we want more bonuses for as long as we are constantly putting our lives at risk just to keep your stores operating! Giving out bonuses are just CHUMP CHANGE considering the company rakes in BILLIONS of dollars in profit and it will not hurt the company financially, not even the slightest. Please have the decency to continue awarding your associates. Thank you.

Doug McMillon: Instead of speaking out on COVID 19, maybe it's time to start raising wages in the front end, meat/produce and frozen/dairy departments. It's absolutely ridiculous that they're still making $11 an hour, yet our workload has increased since 2018.

Title is self-explanatory. What a joke this guy is.

Doug mcmillon blocked me on instagram

So that's neat. Havent been fired, store manager thought it was hilarious. All I did was take pictures for my story about how shitty people were and how bad job conditions were getting. I'd also comment on his all of his posts- "Give associates hazard pay".

Edit: wow you guys really appreciated this. I can't see how the comments on his instagram are going but from what you guys are saying it's going bad. What's wrong dougie? You can't possibly block all of us.

Edit- also I definitely participated today in calling out, you should too if you can. https://ibb.co/fvCCsmy

🚨︎ report
Senate letter to CEO Doug McMillon sent on April 23rd and requires a written response by the 27th. Please share we are in fact not alone! Link to entire memo below with a excerpt from it.

https://www.booker.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/Walmart%20letter-FINAL.pdf

Dear Mr. McMillon:

We write to express our concerns about the challenges many Walmart workers are facing as they attempt to continue working while keeping themselves and their families safe from COVID19. These concerns have only grown with the news that multiple Walmart employees have died from coronavirus, including multiple employees from the same Walmart facility.1 While many retail stores are experiencing financial hardships due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Walmart has seen its demand skyrocket, causing Walmart to hire an additional 150,000 employees since the public health crisis began in order to keep up with demand.2

We write today to strongly urge you to do more to prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of your employees who are also our constituents, friends, family members, and neighbors. We understand that Walmart has attempted to implement positive changes, many of which were outlined in a memo dated March 31st. However, reports from several Walmart workers suggest those changes have not been fully or properly implemented.3 Specifically, we have heard from constituents who are Walmart employees that the personal protective equipment provided is in short supply, of poor quality, and that the gloves and masks only come in one size that is often too small for many of the workers who have to use them. Workers at other Walmart locations have reported that the store in which they work has not implemented a number of the safeguards announced in the March 31st memo, including conducting regular temperature checks and installing plexiglass shields at checkout stations.4 Additionally, workers at other facilities report that the store in which they work is not limiting the number of customers allowed inside, despite Walmart announcing that they would as a new policy, undermining efforts to allow for social distancing. 5 We are also concerned by Walmart’s paid sick leave policyβ€”we believe it is absolutely critical that those who are experiencing symptoms and those who feel the need to self-quarantine are able to access paid leave. No worker should be forced to choose between their paycheck on one hand and the health and health of their colleagues and your customers on the otherβ€”a choice that many Walmart employees find themselves having to make.

Someone get doug Mcmillon off Walmart radio!

I'm tired of hearing his stupid "thank you" speech while he sits in his mansion and rakes in the billions. How about a speech from an associate or a medical professional? How about a speech from anyone who is actually putting their ass on the line? Not from a sheltered billionaire who refuses to pay his employees a living wage even before there was a global pandemic.

DOUG MCMILLON CAN SUCK A FAT DICK AND I HOPE HE AND HOME OFFICE SEES THIS

Why are the DC's getting the $2 pay bump and we arent? They are not the only ones working long hours while busting ass to get their jobs done. They also dont have to deal with stupid fucking customers not wearing masks or social distancing because we let hundreds of people in the stores still. Youre a fucking disgrace to the everyday associate Doug and everybody is lying to your face when you show up to a store because they are afraid of retaliation. (I believe the DC's deserve the bump, just pissed that the store workers are getting shafted. Also i believe it should be more than $2 bump; they should match unemployment)

To Doug McMillon, you smug piece of shit.

Why is it that myself and my associates see you on our TVs in electronics every single day calling us "heroes" while you're filming from your phone, at home, and away from danger? Why do my associates and I have to put our health and our family's health on the line so you can sit on your lazy ass and rake in all the profits? I get paid $13 in electronics, and my youngest associate gets paid $11.

Do you really feel we're worth that little? Even as "heroes"? Hearing you say that is so fucking insulting it's unbearable. I've been with Walmart for years unfortunately as there's shit else for jobs in my area and seeing your face on my TVs right after the Vizio ads and the same lean on me bullshit makes me sick as shit. All other major retail shops open are now implementing one way aisles, hazard pay, and are trying their damned hardest to keep employee morale up.

But not you.

You let us suffer because to you we are replaceable. Say the word union? Fired. Don't wear a mask? Coached. Still refuse? Fired. Working for you has no future.

I will be turning all TVs in my department off from now on. If not to get away from hearing the same shitty rendition of lean on me, then to get away from watching your smug, shit eating grin.

Fuck you, Doug. Make your employees feel like the heroes you want the media to believe we are.

Doug McMillon made $11,346 per hour last year. (Assuming a 40 hour work week.)

Let that sink in.

A full time employee at $11 per hour would have to work for ~6 months to earn what he made in an hour.

To make his annual salary? You'd have to work for over 1,000 years.

To make the net worth of the Walton family? 6.1 million years.

Contact Doug McMillon? Thats what I was told

So my ASM told me their in-law used to work at walmart and had an issue that couldn't or wouldn't be handled by their market so they went to Doug and he handled it. I wonder if this is something that's just a myth kinda like a unicorn or pots of gold at the end of a rainbow?

If you've read my past few posts, my store is in dire need of intervention and we are 99.9% positive market and regional will not be helpful so we were just told to contact good ole Doug.

Thoughts?
