I've been doing a ton of travel and used to have a Diners, which became a glorified MC. From what I've heard, everywhere that takes Diners now also takes Discover. Is this true?
I don't know how always get away with it? I'm not even a member.
I've tried finding some info online, and it's pretty sparse. Just promos of what DCI is, and that it's owned by Discover.
Does this give me some sort of privilege or anything?

My Discover Card I've had since 2013 has a DCI logo on it, something I'd never looked into until today. I tried enrolling it on the Diners Club website with the card details, but it is unable to validate my credentials.
Anyone run into this before? Am I entitled to this membership, or is the card just accepted wherever DCI is accepted? I don't travel much, but I'd hate to miss out on these experiences just because I never enrolled online.
I see that it is owned by BMO, but it basically looks like a rebranded MasterCard. Does anyone have DC and if so, why? Thanks.
I'm moving to Barcelona for a semester from late August until late December, and was wondering how widely accepted my credit card will be (Discover/Diners Club International). I know the card is accepted in Spain, but I don't know what percentage of stores, restaurants, etc. actually will take it. Thanks!

I'm hoping this post won't be downvoted as I'd like to open up some dialogue regarding female patrons at the strip club.
As a sex worker (stripper, in this case.) I deal with a lot of work place hazards and good ol' worker exploitation. Both from management and, obviously, from patrons. What I found very surprising when I first started dancing, was that some of the worst offenders are women, specifically female patrons.
If potential patrons could take the time to read about appropriate conduct inside a strip club, you'd be making our jobs safer.
If you go to any sex worker page, you'll see tons of memes regarding female patrons. I'll be highlighting some concerns and no-nos on this post.
- This is our job. It's our livelihood. It's how we pay for food, shelter, clothing, how we feed our children, how we pay for immigration lawyers, custody battles, college text books, medical debt. Please remember that it's not a party for us. It's labor.
- Do not go into a strip club with no intention of tipping/buying dances. Please do one of these, or both. For most strippers in most countries, we are not paid hourly. We are private contractors. We do not receive a wage, nor benefits, and very little to no worker rights. When a patron enters the club, we are required to talk to you or dance on stage, regardless if you are tipping or booking. Do not go into a strip club just to drink and watch. This is exploitation. Do not indirectly support exploitation by engaging in an industry, benefitting from the labor of young women, without the intention of mitigating said exploitation by adding tipping to your expected cost of attendance.
- Please do not dance/hit on patrons. It is the equivalent of going into a family owned restaurant and giving out free meals. You are taking business away from us. Please, if you feel like dancing, grinding on people, or hitting on people - go to any other type of club or bar.
- DO NOT GO TO A STRIP CLUB WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND UNLESS YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY SECURE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP. Many of us actively avoid couple's dances because of the amount of women who end up crying or enraged at us by the end of the night.
- We are not interested in the boyfriend. We are interested in his wallet. There is no need to be jealous or threatened. Flirting, is quite literally, our job.
- Don't touch us without consent. Just because you're a woman, doesn't mean that you can sexually assault/rape us.

Just curious if anyone is clinging onto the old Diners Club US cards? I'm still paying $95 a year for mine because its so obscure but I can't even find a list of certain benefits for it anymore without using the wayback machine.
