A list of puns related to "Derek Lamb"
So imagine this: you're a sixteen year old boy hearing "Vision of Love" for the first time and end up becoming a lamb. You have a Mariah poster on your bedroom wall. Your life dream is to join the Yankees and marry Mariah Carey.
Eventually, Derek not only met Mariah and had a relationship with her, but had at least 4 songs written about him (and never in a mean, Taylor Swift way):
β The Roofβ My Allβ Honeyβ Crybaby
And probably We Belong Together and It's Like That, as someone pointed out earlier.Talk about the ultimate lamb experience ! Who hasn't dreamed of having Mariah write so many songs about them ? ;)
Where I think the still active Free Agents in MLB should go, and I mean all of them. (Age, Fangraphs WAR).

Can't wait for April!
Aidan Hutchinson has been getting the hype as of late, but I think if the Jaguars make this pick it will be Thibodeaux. Especially after teams get to see KT doing drills. He is a truly special athlete for the position and would provide an incredible duo with Josh Allen. Help for Trevor Lawrence would be ideal, but there is no offensive position worth the pick.
Lions get Hutchinson, and they could not be more elated. This second pick is the easiest in the draft, as you take the other defensive end that is available. Both appear to be extremely strong defensive players to build a team around.
A draft has never started with three consecutive defensive ends, but I think 2022 breaks that weird record. Mills has shown enough that he deserves an offseason and start next season (plus if it doesn't work out, the 2023 QBs appear much better). So all Houston can do is select the best player available. It would likely be between Hamilton and Karlaftis, and either would be a great pick. I think they go Karlaftis here.
The Jets would have loved a DE, but in this scenario they miss out. The defensive side of the ball is a must, but also building around Zach Wilson is incredibly important. Neal is a very versatile, stud offensive linemen. If Becton can turn it around and AVT holds down a guard spot, Neal would make this offensive lines one of the league's best.
I know everyone is going to yell at me about the quarterbacks in this class, and I truly agree. They aren't special. But I am a true believer that there are four QBs in this class that teams can really talk themselves into. Whether it is the floor or ceiling, each one has something intriguing about them. I know the Giants said they will commit to Daniel Jones for next season, but I think that really only adds to why they would select Corral here. Corral would sit next season, with maybe a game or two of action, and would not be thrusted in to start. Plus as of today, the Giants have two top ten picks. They should take advantage of this and take the gamble on Corral.
I think one of the veteran QBs ends up in Carolina. Cross appears primed to be a great NFL left tackle, of which the Panthers desperately need.
1 JAX: Kayvon Thibodeaux - EDGE*
I personally have Thibodeaux just a hair above Hutchinson which makes him pick #1 for me.
2 DET: Aidan Hutchinson - EDGE
Since Kayvon goes #1, Detroit gets the local star in Hutchinson to help out the growing defense for Detroit.
3 HOU: Ikem Ekwonu - OL
I like Ekwonu moreso over Neal here because of the better versatility to move to Guard if they choose to stay with Tunsil and Cannon at OT. Mills has proven to deserve another year at least, and protecting him is key to see his true potential.
4 NYJ: Evan Neal - OT
Could definitely go defense here with Hamilton, but I think protecting Zach Wilson is more important in this case. Neal is a pretty decent upgrade over Edoga, and getting Becton back will also help out.
5 NYG: Tyler Linderbaum - C
With both OTs going top 4, NYG takes the next best option in Tyler Linderbaum at 5 with threats of Carolina snagging him at 6.
6 CAR: Kyle Hamilton - S
Purely a BPA pick here. I think Hamilton can fit well next to Chinn in a very young defense. While OL is a massive massive need for Carolina, I can't see them reaching on any of the OL available at 6.
7 NYG: George Karlaftis - EDGE
Giants get defensive help with a freak athlete in Karlaftis. While Karlaftis might need to learn the transition from 4-3 to 3-4, I think he'll be able to be an instant contributor for the Giants.
8 ATL: David Ojabo - EDGE
The matching piece to Aidan Hutchinson, Ojabo is a no brainer pick for Atlanta here as they desperately need any and all pass rush help they can get.
9 DEN: Kenny Pickett - QB
First QB goes off the board and I believe that Pickett will be a day 1 starter and is spoiled with his choice of weapons that Denver provides.
10 NYJ: Derek Stingley Jr - CB
Stingley falls a bit more than people might think, but the Jets still get one of, if not, the best CB in the class to pair with Bryce Hall.
11 WAS: Malik Willis - QB
This is probably the biggest shock that will happen in this mock draft, but I fully believe that Willis has the highest ceiling of any QB in this draft and Washington takes a chance hoping to repeat what they had in RG3.
12 MIN: Andrew Booth Jr - CB
CB is a massive need for Minnesota with them shipping off an old Pat Pete and holding Dantzler as their #1 option outside of him.
13 CLE: Garrett Wilson - WR
I think it's a no brainer on the position but people will definitely have different options on who their #1

It's bowl season in the college football world, which means the players have put just about as much tape out there as they possibly can. Once that happens it kickstarts my favorite time of the year - mock draft season. Mock drafting against yourself isn't the most accurate way to get an understanding of the consensus so this is going to be much more representative of what I think of these players and not as much what the whole community does. I think doing a mock with some of the regulars of this sub and having a bit more in depth explanation for each pick is something that the community may be able to benefit from. If that's something the people here think sounds like a good idea then it's something I would be happy to set up - but for now let's get into me vs me. I hope I win.
#1.01 Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas
Something I not-so-subtly hinted at in my Meet the WRs post, Treylon Burks sits atop this class as my 1.01. If I find myself here in any of my leagues (which seems likely in a few) then I want Burks because I want someone with the potential to carry me. The other QBs don't project to have overall QB1 upside, and there is no Jonathan Taylor/Ezekiel Elliot level RB prospect. I think the player with the best balance of safety as a prospect and ability to finish the season higher than the rest lies with Treylon Burks. He's my pick and I feel great about it.
I haven't seen a draft with a more wide open 1.01, so if you want your pick of your favorite QB, be it Corral, Howell, Pickett, etc. then go for it. If you want Breece or Spiller, I won't fault you there either. I want Burks.
#1.02 Breece Hall, RB, Iowa State
This is essentially the same argument I just laid out for Burks, I just think if Burks was to land in say New England or LA (and the Chargers decide to move on from Mike Williams) then that would edge out Breece if he were to land in Seattle or Buffalo. Breece certainly has RB1 potential and could even be a perennial top 5-8 running back in the right spot. He has displayed great hands and could prove to be a major PPR threat.
#1.03 Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina
Howell offers the most upside of anyone in this QB class in my eyes and so he is my first QB off the board at this point. There's still questions around the draft capital he might receive, as there is with every QB in this class besi

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Hello there!
This year, I'm doing a themed bingo square with trans or nonbinary characters in every book. As such, I've spent a lot of time (too much time) compiling books that fit for each square. I had originally intended to post this list after finishing my board with a write-up, but seeing as we are past halfway through the bingo year and I'm on track to finish pretty late, Iβve decided to put this up early so it can hopefully actually be helpful for people still looking to fill their boards.
Books are listed under each category they fit, but I didnβt always check for some of the harder ones (eg. first person, forest setting) if they fit something obvious (eg. published in 2021, cat squasher). Books are sourced from the recommendations thread, the focus thread, the queersff database, readsrainbow, various Goodreads lists, and various threads in other subreddits. Also, disclaimer, I haven't read all these, so categorizations may be inaccurate. Please let me know if you notice that this is the case, or if there are any books I should add or remove!
Without further ado, here's my list of 250+ books that qualify for the trans/NB character square plus at least one other square:
Five Short Stories
Behind the Sun, Above the Moon edited by Brooklyn Ray
Diana Comet and Other Improbable Stories by Sandra McDonald
Everyone on the Moon is Essential Personnel by Julian K Jarboe
Glitter + Ashes: Queer Tales of a World That Wouldnβt Die edited by Dave Ring
Homesick: Stories by Nino Cipri
Love After the End: An Anthology of Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer Speculative Fiction edited by Joshua Whitehead
Love: Beyond Body, Space, and Time edited by Hope Nicholson
Maiden, Mother, and Crone: Fantastical Trans Femmes edited by Gwen Benaway
Meanwhile, Elsewhere edited by Cat Fitzpatrick and Casey Plett
No Man of Woman Born by Ana Mardoll
Portland Diary: Short Stories 2016/2017 by Jamie Berrout
The Other Side: An Anthology of Queer Paranormal Romance edited by Melanie Gillman and Kori Michele Handwerker

Bouncing off of the Batgirls drama write-up I saw a few days ago, I noticed several people who were interested in hearing more comics drama, so I figured I'd do a write-up on one of the most infamous and damaging things DC Comics has ever done to a singular character (short of detailing what Grant Morrison did to Talia al Ghul). How do you take a popular minority hero with a Top 15-selling solo series who was part of the core Batman cast and turn her into an obscure d-list character who didn't get a true spotlight focus for nearly 15 years afterwards? DC Comics found a way. So let's talk about Cassandra Cain. Warning: this post is long as hell, so settle in.
The Backdrop
The year is 1998. After the death of the second Robin, Jason Todd, in 1988 (infamously decided by a phone poll so close DC still has the pages they would have published if readers had voted for him to live) and the subsequent introduction of the third Robin, Tim Drake, in 1989, the Batman franchise was once again in a narrative place where it could support multiple connected characters. There hadn't been an active Batgirl in over a decade since Barbara "Babs" Gordon had voluntarily hung up the cape in 1986, subsequently been shot in the spine and fridged in The Killing Joke, and later re-invented as the wheelchair-bound hacker and information broker Oracle in John Ostrander and Kim Yale's Suicide Squad. The number of recurring female heroes in the Batman books was approximately three: Stephanie Brown/Spoiler (a recurring fan-favorite in Tim's Robin solo), Helena Bertinelli/Huntress (featured regularly in various Bat books with occasional solo appearances), and Barbara as Oracle (who was also co-founder and leader of the independent Birds of Prey team book).
Enter DCU Executive Editor Mike Carlin with a definitive assertion to Bat Office Editor Scott Peterson after years of hinting that the Batman books needed a new female hero: "Create a new Batgirl. Or I will." Peterson was resistant, thinking the Batgirl role should die with Babs, but "an edict was an edict," and so he started brainstorming. After a day or two, he called up write

It really does, I swear!
I know many people are frustrated with mock drafts, so I sat through 20 of them and recorded all 150 picks each time.
Disclaimer: All 20 mock drafts were done through Yahoo Fantasy (1/2 PPR) and had 10 teams.
Second Disclaimer: There will also be a lot of numbers and charts floating around.
There were 122 players that were drafted in all 20 mock drafts, 9 D/ST, 6 Kickers, 15 Quarterbacks, 39 Running backs, 15 Tight Ends, and 38 Wide Receivers. A cycle of 72 other players filled up the remaining 27 slots.
A common theme throughout all of the drafts was that once an "uncommon position" (QB, TE, D/ST, K) was drafted, a run of that position quickly followed.
I will frequently be using a candlestick chart. I think of it almost like a box-and-whisker plot but vertical. Example using Trevor Lawrence:
https://imgur.com/gallery/yO36lll
The very bottom of the line is the earliest Lawrence was drafted (94). The very top of the line is the latest he got drafted (145). The box then comprises the 1st through 3rd quartiles (120.5 and 130.25, respectively). The only thing this is missing is the average, in this case 124.4. The average is the 2nd quartile, so it will always be between the 1st and 3rd quartiles. Basically all you need to know is that within the box, it is perfectly acceptable to draft Trevor Lawrence. Anything earlier could be considered a reach, and anything later could be considered a steal. At least that is how I view it. Feel free to come to your own conclusions.
With all that being said, I will break down each individual position in alphabetical order.
Defense and Special Teams:
Nine D/ST were drafted every time. They were...
D/ST | 1st Quartile | Average pick | 3rd Quartile |
---|---|---|---|
Los Angeles Rams | 71 | 72.8 | 74.25 |
Washington Football Team | 72 | 76.6 | 78.25 |
Pittsburgh Steelers | 75 | 83.1 | 85 |
San Francisco 49ers | 77 | 88.2 | 93.25 |
Baltimore Ravens | 79.75 | 95 | 102 |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 85.5 | 96 | 105.5 |
Kansas City Chiefs | 114.75 | 122.15 | 133.5 |
Cleveland Browns | 119.75 | 127.1 | 134.25 |
Denver Broncos | 129.5 | 132.6 | 142.25 |
The Rams D/ST was drafted first 17 out of 20 times. The Buccaneers, Steelers, and Ravens were each picked first once. Candlestick chart:

Here is a very clear cut explanation of the waiver wire system form u/Knight-Artorias on reddit.
"It's fairly complicated, but it's an integral part of fantasy football. At some point in the season, some rookie will be amazing and everybody will want him. So you'll put a waiver claim on him. Who gets the player though? That is determined by [highest] waiver priority. At the start of the season, the waiver priority [list] is the inverse of the draft order. So the #1 pick has #10 waiver priority order, the #10 pick has #1 waiver priority order, and so forth. So whoever has the highest priority gets the player. Thus, if the 2 and 3 priority put a claim on the player, the 2 priority gets him.
However, whenever you use your waiver, you immediately go to the bottom of the waiver priority list. So if waivers 2 and 3 put claims on the same 2 players, waiver 2 will get the first one. They then drop to 10, so 3 (now 2, because 2 used his waiver) gets the second player. This process is called "clearing waivers". It typically happens on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
Whenever a player plays in a game, he automatically goes to waivers. After waivers clear, all unclaimed players become free agents. These players can be added on a first-come first-served basis. They return to waivers after they play.
Because of this, if you want a player that you think nobody will claim, it can be beneficial to wait until he clears waivers so you can add him without using your waiver priority."
If the above explanation makes sense to you, it should be easy to tell if you've got the highest waiver priority. If you do and you're wondering what to do with your leagues top waiver priority, take a look below at some guys you might be interested in who are available in most leagues!

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.

Hey all!
So, instead of doing something at the end of the season where I just give you guys the teams that didn't score above 30 points all season, I've decided to take on the liberty of doing it backwards every week! For all you stat junkies out there, this is for you!
The newcomers this week that accomplished this are the Bengals and the Colts. However, I will do write-ups for each team that scored 30 points this week as well, so this post at least has some value.
Bengals: The Bengals absolutely annihilated a perenially-struggling team in the Lions. Joe Burrow tied his career-high for passing TD's with 3, and the Bengals as a team have already notched 4 wins on the season. They only had 4 wins last year. I'm sure we'll (the Steelers) help contribute to that win column. But aside from the self-wallowing and self-pity, the Bengals are 2nd in the division behind a roaring Ravens team, and they could very well snag a playoff spot this year.
Colts: All it took was playing the Texans for the Colts to finally find their groove on offense. Wentz arguably had his best game of the season, throwing for 223 yards and 2 TD's on only 11 completions. Jonathan Taylor also had a couple nice runs for TD's and an 83-yard run, which set up the Colts for another score. If anyone needs a win, just have them play the Texans.
Ravens: It pains me to say this, but the Ravens played phenomenally against a solid Chargers team. Despite Lamar's 2 INTs, the Ravens shined all three sides of the ball - offense, defense, and special teams. Every single one of the Ravens' running backs scored a TD in this game - Latavius Murray, Le'Veon Bell, and Devonta Freeman. Please take note as how I didn't put Lamar in there. On the other hand, Herbert was the Chargers' leading rusher with 12 yards (R.I.P. Austin Ekeler).
Chiefs: Mahomes will continue to do Mahomes things, regardless of terrible interceptions and constant media attention. He slung the ball for nearly 400 yards against a porous Football Team defense and led the Chiefs to a walloping victory, 31-13. The team with no name had no answers to the Chiefs' superior offense. Props to the Chiefs' defense, too, for not allowing a team to score over 29 points for the first time this season.
Rams: While the Rams didn't start off as quickly as they wanted to, they still destroyed a offensively depleted Giants team. Stafford had 4 passing TD's and only 1 INT and ravaged a lacluster Giants defense. Gifting 4 turnove

I used the top 969 players who have at least 10000 minutes played in their career.
Why 10000 minutes played? Because that's the lower standard set by Basketball-Reference to get on their ABA career leaderboard (15000 MP for NBA). I added George Mikan, because even though he hasn't played enough minutes, he's featured in All-Time ESPN NBARank and Bill Simmons Hall of Fame Pyramid.
I started off with the current 30 teams. To split up the Lakers and Clippers, I gave the Clippers their proposed Inglewood site.
As I looked at the map of player hometowns, I realized that there were:
Based off city population and arena size, I added 25 new teams.

When playing fantasy, there are a lot of players who are considered "every week starts". Some of these players include Christian McCaffrey, Davante Adams, Travis Kelce and so on. There are a few positions in fantasy football that don't have as many every week starters. Quarterbacks, defenses and kickers are very streamable positions, meaning that they're usually able to have their spots filled in a pinch off of the waiver fire and free agency.
Every week, I'm going to bring you the most up to date streamers moving forward to make life as easy as possible for you! There will be two lists. The first list will be the best streams for the players matchup the upcoming week. The second list will be a players 3 week outlook for long term streamability.
Let's get started.

Next Three Games - MIA, CAR, NO
Average Ownership: 61%
My favorite week 7 stream at QB is Matt Ryan. When it comes to fantasy points given up to quarterbacks, the Miami Dolphins rank in the top 3. It's safe to say, after getting some rest and coming off of a bye, Matt Ryan should be ready to sling it against Tua Tagovailoa and a bad defense. Not only is he bouncing back from a bye, he also gets his #1 target back in Calvin Ridley. It's a recipe for a great fantasy football start in week 7 with all the byes going on. The Dolphins allow 23.8 fantasy points per game and Matty Ice is going to let it fly.
Luckily, his bye week has already come and gone so you won't have to worry about that after picking him up. Ryan's week 8 and 9 matchups are the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints, two divisional matchups back to back. Neither team is bad against the QB position but neither is very good either. Carolina has allowed 20 fantasy points per game and New Orleans has allowed 20.7 fantasy points per game. He is available in 61% of leagues on average and has a solid matchup this week. I give his week 7 matchup against Miami an A and his next 3 week schedule a B-.
