A list of puns related to "Delaware Riverβturnpike Toll Bridge"
I don't live anywhere near the northeast, but I'm doing a case study for a class for an event that took place in the early 2000s. I have been confused in regards to the toll at the Delaware Memorial Bridge. I'm reading that tolls aren't collected when traveling east and this is supported by what I'm seeing in Google Map with the lack of the toll areas (plazas?). However, I'm trying to figure out how tolls are calculated when traveling west through the Delaware Bridge.
If someone were to enter the turnpike from Route 130 where they didn't need to pick up a ticket or use their EZ-Pass, how would the toll be calculated? How would the toll folks know they weren't just coming from the last toll area (here)
Is it true that the rotating central truss from the bridge was saved and put in a park? And if so, could you please tell me where said park is? I'd love to go see it someday. I'm actually from south-central Michigan, about 80 or 90 miles from Toledo. But I've loved that old bridge ever since I was a baby. Any time we'd go visit my maternal grandparents on the east side of Cleveland (Mentor-on-the-Lake), that bridge was always a landmark on our trip. Thanks for your help.
