I have only gotten about 4 of these patients and I have missed first stick each time. Some asked to be stuck in the hand or the maternity vein, but there has to be a better way than this.
This is not satire or a jab at heavyset patients. It’s a request for advice. To the people downvoting me, I would like to be a better patient advocate. That’s the purpose of the question.
Im specifically talking about blue or green veins, not the red broken capillaries / red spider veins.
Howdy. I’m 30(f) and spent a day in the ER last month with acute clotting in my axillary and subclavian veins. It seemed to come out of nowhere and I can’t identify any risk factors besides birth control. I’m doing some exploratory testing now to figure out why this happened.
One thing that keeps coming up in my research is TOS and it tracks with symptoms I’ve had on and off in the past- e.g. numbness and pain down my arms that is acute during certain yoga positions/postures and can also just come and go at random. I also can’t wear a purse on my shoulder(s) because it causes pain down my arm. The ultrasound tech in the ER also told me I had unique structural anatomy around my armpit that made my blood vessels and veins hard to see.
Has anyone else in this community had a DVT? Were they reoccurring/how did you end up treating the DVT and TOS together?
Thanks for any stories or things I should be looking into during this problem solving phase.
This has been asked a lot, and the answers have been short, but also potentially incomplete.
Short:
- Completing Deep Vein: Extraction with your character will unlock the ability to find and mine Exotic nodes (usually in caves) by hand using any mining pick on all missions/maps.
- Completing Payday: Extraction with your character will unlock the ability to craft the Radar (not to be confused with the Radar given to you in other scanning missions) and Extractor to find and mine Exotic Deposits on all missions/maps.
Long:The above is fine for somebody playing solo and with one character. it seems pretty straight forward. Unlock all of the missions leading up to each one, then complete the Deep Vein (DV) and PayDay (PD) missions, and henceforth you should be able to find and mine both classes of exotic resources. Groovy.
But what if you play in multiplayer a lot with a group that has different players, at different progress levels, multiple characters, and missions aren't always started by the same person/character? This is where it gets a lot more confusing...
- Can Exotic Nodes and Deposits be 'seen' in the world by your character before completing DV or PD in the following situations -
- I'm solo and hosting the initial prospectANSWER: I think this is a NO, based purely on my own observations that I never saw one in a cave and I did a LOT of caves across many missions before I completed DV.
- I'm joining another player's mission who has completed DV and/or PD
- I'm hosting the initial prospect but another player who completed DV and/or PD joins my mission
- Can my second or third character see/mine Exotic Nodes after my first character has completed DV?
- ANSWER: The second character will have to complete DV to be able to see exotics in the world.
- Can my second or third character see/mine Exotic Deposits after my first character has completed PD?
- ANSWER: The second character does not have to "complete" PD, but must go into the mission to unlock the ability to craft the radar and extractor. This is confirmed to work when you host PD after being able to reach it normally, and leaving on the dropship without completing the mission.
- Does the ability granted by completing DV or PD apply to my character if I join these missions hosted by another player before I would normally be able to start it myself (as all connected missions have not yet been completed on my end)?
- **If the answer to 4 is "NO" do
I found my first exotic in the forest after beating Deep Vein. Will I be able to bring more than the regular mission amount back?
Edit: Used a Platinum pickaxe and only got 15 exotics from the node in the forest. So you probably only need an iron pickaxe. Finished with 75 exotics.
I started feeling mild shortness of breath out of nowhere around 5-6 days ago but didn’t look into it until today because I thought it’d go away by now. After doing some googling, I’m wondering if this is a possible sign of a blood clot? I recognize googling is isn’t too reliable but it has me highly paranoid now.
Symptoms:
- Shortness of breath: it doesn’t hurt to breath, it’s more like I just started noticing my breathing all of a sudden and it feels like I’m not breathing as “deeply” unless I really intentionally inhale/exhale. This comes and goes throughout the day. Even when I’m experiencing it, I can breath while laying down.
- Lightheadedness: I felt a bit lightheaded a few times today (the first time), which I’m assuming is because of the shortness of breath. However, I didn’t feel dizzy or like I was about to faint because the shortness of breath was pretty mild.
- Cold extremities: my toes and fingers were ice cold today, but also my extremities have also just always been cold throughout my life since childhood. My feet were sweaty when I wore socks despite being cold, but that’s something I’ve experienced on/off since childhood. They weren’t sweaty without the socks.
- Numbness: I felt a bit of numbness throughout my legs and arms for the first time a few hours ago. My fingers felt like they were tingling, but it subsided in an hour or two. My calves felt like they were numb without the tingling sensation and took a little longer than my arms to subside (perhaps could be described as a super light cramp? Definitely didn’t feel anything like a normal exercise cramp). I also felt numbness in the bottom of my face and my chest for around 10-20 minutes before subsiding.
- Chest discomfort: there was a VERY brief minute or so when my chest had a crawling tightness, but it went away really fast and switched over to a light numbness before subsiding pretty quickly. Breathing did not worsen it and literally other than those few minutes of discomfort and 10-20minutes of numbness afterwards, my chest felt completely fine.
Possible blood clot symptoms I DID NOT have:
- No swollen calves: I tried to check my calves, but they didn’t visually look or feel swollen(I think)? They weren’t discolored, weren’t particularly warm, and weren’t in pain either, but perhaps the light numbness could be described as a super light cramp?
- No rapid heart rate: my heart rate remained the same even if I started experiencing shortness of breath and no rapid breathing.
Completed the mission and it still says "NEW" as if I never did it.
I got the exotics to prove it that I did.
I'm wondering if the game thinks I didn't do it and won't spawn exotics in any of my missions.
Maybe I should just do it again and see what happens.
I was under the impression that it would be applied to all your characters, kinda like how fresh characters can use earned equipment / access completed missions 🤷♂️
EDIT: apparently others have confirmed that Deep Vein transfers, but you need to enter the Pay Day mission to unlock the radar / extractor. No word on whether or not you need to complete it with the other character tho.
EDIT 2: you can start the Payday mission with a new character, use talent points to unlock the extractor / radar (assuming you're at T4 already), and exit the mission. The blueprints stay unlocked on your new character.

I've placed the Exotics in the dropship cargo but the quest won't accomplish.
This is the second time I've run this mission, the first time i extracted in the drop ship with the Exotic in the cargo and the mission didn't complete.I do have the Exotic material in the workshop from that time.

Anyone else having issues completing this mission, i get all 4 veins and make it back to my ship. 4 different times but only get the exotic rewards but not the credits and mission shows incomplete too.
I'm hoping for a fun battle system and some great characters doesn't need to be voice acted either. I have ps4, Xbox 360, and PC. I've found that the persona series isn't my bag at all, I remember lost odyssey being pretty great, so maybe more in that vein? I'm open to whatever.

I was told after general anesthesia to keep active somewhat to prevent blood clots in legs even though they said since I'm 17 my risk is minimal. I didn't listen, now I have intermittent leg pain and my anxiety turns into panic. Help.
I put it in the dropship and completed the mission, but i dont have any after the mission? anyone else experience this?
