I'm nearing the end of my civil service, DoD career. I've put in 35+ years of service, and I'm currently 59. I want to continue working until I'm 62. Not only for the higher annuity, but other personal financial things I want to take care of before I retire.
Apparently my management wants to give me a Meritorious Service Award. Our agency's highest award. Typically, retirees receive this, but it comes in after they retire because of all the reviews and rankings. They are wanting to start this now to possibly get ahead of that lag time.
My branch chief is presuring me to write up the submission content about my achievements to justify this award. I mean more than just a few bullets of things I've done. She wants the whole write up so she can pass it up the chain. I feel this is really tacky, and I'm uncomfortable in doing it. In fact, if I do this, I feel the award would be meaningless since it shows that they don't know what I do, or what I've done enough to recognize that I've been a value.
I've been stalling her on this for a few months, and she's now trying to make it part of my performance plan for this year's performance objectives. Another words, if I fail to provide a write up, I fail the objective and get dinged on the score.
Am I being too humble? Should I end run her and complain to managers above her or OPR to make her stop? This really doesn't sound legal in regards with OPR rules, specially the performance objectives bit.
I love the way they give the ship a clean look and I would definitely pay coal or credits if they were added to the purchasable camo options either in the armory or the 'Exterior' tab. I wouldn't even mind if they changed the bonuses around so that it wasn't too generous if it became purchasable. I'm sure a lot of other people fell the same way about liking the way that it makes the ships look.

Some background on ThinThread: In late ninetees Bill co-created the program "ThinThread" which was the perfect alternative to mass surveillance - but it was ditched by NSA for money.
ThinThread was a fully automated system that could monitor signals then filter and alert on genuine threats in near real time. It did this all whilst protecting citizens’ rights to privacy. Its efficacy was down to it being metadata focused.
