A list of puns related to "Cort"
Im new in this community and I want to buy a bass but I don't have much money for spend.
So I think Cort GB54JJ can be a good choice for me. But are you recommend Cort guitars especially GB ones?
And if you don't what would you recommend?
I'm quite new to the world of acoustic guitars, but I think that adding one to my life will help me to improve on the guitar in general. I don't have a lot to spend on one and have it narrowed down to the Yamaha Storia I and a Cort Earth.
I see Yamaha gets a lot of love for their entry-level instruments. And despite the very weird marketing of the Storia, it feels good in the hands and sounds very nice for the 319β¬ it is. I know much less about the Cort, but a more local shop has a few Corts. They all look and sound very nice as well.
I feel stuck on making this decision. Anyone out there have any advice?
I plan on buying this combination of equipment at the end of the year. Now cort because they offer what fender would charge you 2 grand for. And the orange because the use of jfits to me seems like a viable replacement for valves. it's been since the 60 and people still cling to valves reluctant to innovate. And I hate to see myself in the local newspaper because I electrocuted myself while performing a re-bias. Only the cab is kind of a gut feeling. Also it is like 20% off right now.
Is it a fitting combination?
I didn't work for them. But they are predatory as F with terrible quality furniture. I was a customer of theirs when I had an engineering contract job in another city. I ordered a student package, "The Necessities". I was working on my master's degree at night while working my normal job, so I had a student ID that I could use to show I was also a student. It was 140 something a month. Signed the contract and the contract stated the advertised price.
I noticed in my bank statements that they charged me ~650 a month, about 500 more than the contract I signed. I re-read my contract and they had put in fine print in the contract a 2000 fine for cancelling the furniture rental lease before 3 or 4 monthly payments had been made.
I was aware of a 200 dollar 1 time moving fee. But that doesn't cover the 500 dollar difference.
They came up with BS excuses for why they were charging me 500 extra fucking dollars a month. Everything from a moving fee, to a "monthly service fee", and other stupid reasons.
They were stealing from my bank account. I cancelled my rental lease and almost immediately they threatened to take me to court so that they could take more money from me.
I didn't have the money at the time to pay for the attorney fees to take them to court for theft from my bank account.
I refused to pay that fine, because they were overcharging me by 500 a month, and it went to collections. I got intensely harassed by debt collectors for a few months and every time I'd pick up the phone I'd tell them "You're trying to get dracula912? Sorry man, you have the wrong number, this is TJ678" and hang up.
Fuck Cort Furniture. Never do business with them.
Is it possible that some Cort basses have the truss rod turning direction the other way around?
I have a cheap 4-string Cort PJ that already had its strings too far from the frets. I turned the truss rod clockwise, which required some force initially but after it started moving, it did not take any effort. It seemed like it snapped inside, because the neck problem got much worse in a short time. At this point it's unplayable.
Than I purchased a new Cort C5 Plus, which has the same neck (just different thinkness to accomodate the extra string, different truss rod cover plastic piece and head paintjob). It had also started to have a bow and I had adjusted it three times by turning the truss rod clockwise. It didn't seem to do a lot. But today I did it for the forth time, and now I was brave enough to do about a quarter of a turn and it seems to me that the bow increased.
My temperature and humidity is not extreme, I have never taken it outside the house, it's far from the radiator, it has the factory D'Adderio strings with normal tuning.
Is it the other way around or are they just really bad necks on some Cort basses? Also, can someone recommend a really cheap 24-fret bolt-on fretless neck to revive my old bass? I would love to try fretless on a budget.
Iβve been exploring the idea of picking up a Strandberg recently, but I know Cort has had some issues in the past. I canβt seem to find much on it as of the last few years.
