Edit: Thank you to everyone who suggested coffee places! I ended up getting one from Roos and another from Drip House because they were both open today. As a non-coffee drinker, I never would have found these places. Thanks again!!!!
hi Lethbridge! I'm getting gift cards for the people who volunteer in my office. Typically I go with Tim's and Starbucks for my people, but one gent is a man in his early 70s, and is a strict Mormon who does not consume caffeine or fast foods, and also isn't super internet savvy so something like an Amazon card is also out.
i'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what i could gift or give a gift card for (at max $20).

Hi there! I'm meeting a really nice and handsome guy on Tuesday which, as the title indicates, is the day before his birthday. I can imagine that buying flowers or chocolates would usually be WAY too overboard for a first or second meet, but I'm wondering if dating etiquette rules are less applicable if the date falls very close to somebody's birthday. Maybe something like a book would be acceptable?
I'm not even sure what the dating agenda is and I'm conscious of not overthinking what will happen. I mean: on the one hand, we met on Grindr and he has said a couple of times that he's really happy that I'm starting to explore my sexuality for first time. But, on the other hand, he doesn't like to share NSFW photos and wants to meet for a coffee before hanging out after work (both are new concepts to me!), so this could easily be a proper date yet it could also be more casual. Thanks for any advice! :)
If you read my other posts, I thought things were chill between us, and I wanted to show her that I still cared so I sent her a gift card with a small message wishing her a happy bday. She responded with “thanks I really appreciate it!! you didn’t have to do that!!”. She never uses exclamation marks and we used to make fun of each other for using them because we knew that it just meant we were being sarcastic. Her response was very cold imo, and I said of course and asked her if she had any fun plans. Her response to that was pretty cold and she said “thanks for checking in :)” so that was my sign to leave the conversation. This hurt so damn much, I definitely won’t be reaching out again because i’m tired of the stress and anxiety. If things are meant to be, they will be. I am not going to force anything or put effort into somebody that obviously doesn’t care for me.
I seem to have been lucky enough to have won the healthcare hero’s contest, free coffee for a year, in the form of several gift cards. All the cards have a $0 balance however and when I call dunkin gift card customer service, they say they have no record of the healthcare hero’s contest. I emailed customer service a haven’t received a reply.

Hey y’all I’m looking to buy a professor a gift card to a website that they can choose from nice coffees and teas instead of simply getting them a Starbucks gift card since Starbucks may not be their cup of tea.
