Today was the second time I've had a moment of weakness and eaten these. Had a dozen and over 60 carbs. Took my sugar 3 hours later and it was 125, up from 111 this morning. I was expecting it to spike higher but was pleasantly surprised. Had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago. I can eat a small bowl of cheerios with monkfruit sweetener and my sugar will spike over 200 every time.
Up until yesterday I would have warned that they are super addictive and you will buy them all. Unfortunately, when I bit into one yesterday I found this weird fiber/tuft kind of hairy stuff.
Just keep an eye out

I made chocolate covered pretzels the other day and even after letting the pretzels cool in the freezer they immediately melt in your hands. We tried letting them get to room temperature, but they kept melting even more.
I melted the chocolate on a double boiler until smooth, took it off the heat to dip the pretzels and then froze the pretzels for about an hour before trying them. So far, weβve had to keep them in a airtight container in the freezer otherwise they will completely melt.
Iβve never made these before so any answers as to why the chocolate keeps melting, tips for next time, or other related advice is welcome.
Products Used: Hersheyβs Bars (mini, about 70pcs) 1 bag of salted pretzels
