A list of puns related to "Charity Golf"
Hit me with your best golf chirps!I work in voiceovers and was asked to emcee a local charity golf tournament (not my usual sort of job, but sure). A week later, my contact came back saying they don't need an emcee, but they do need... a designated heckler! Oh, I got so much time for that! There will be about 150 participants, so I need at least 150 chirps. Sadly, we're not working blue, gotta keep it PG13 and below.
UPDATE: Y'all are the best!
Just spitballing, butβ¦β¦. It would basically be targeted to anyone in my general area. Just my zip code has like 15,000 people.
One round per month. Non competitive. Only βrequirementβ is fast play and respect for the course.
Build round, cart, and a charitable contribution into each round. The idea would be to allow people to interact with other people in the community. I thought it would also be cool to have a βcause of the monthβ.
Anyone ever organized something like this? I realize that itβs βworkβ. But is it a royal pain in the ass? Will courses work with me?
Iβd consider 6-10 foursomes to be worthwhile.
π Hi all. Here is some info on my project. We just made a donation to a great cause (First Tee) and have an amazing community all over the world! π
Rich Gators:
- π We launched two weeks ago and sold out in 2 hours!
-π¨ We have had a more low-key period now and have held off of marketing heavily because our short term roadmap is being put into place (we needed the funds from the sale for it)
πΌEvery one of our holders receives a free mint of all series released in the Rich Gator ecosystem. πΌWe are on track to be able to release a βBaby Rich Gatorsβ series in a month.
-Every Rich Gator holder has option to mint a free baby rich gator for each gator held
-the rest of the series will go to public sale (4000 total | 04 MINT PRICE)
-We sold out our first release with basically just momentum and word of mouth ($3,000 total on marketing before launch) 2222 Supply TOTAL ever
-As a result we are confident we can regain serious momentum for our next release, having a large community already and 900+ unique holders. (And marketing budget)
πWe made a charity donation of 10K! And all kinds of freebies for holders.
πGreat community has formed! Big giveaways happening in our Discord!

NOTE: The funds from baby gator sale will allow us to develop a nicely built out roadmap 2.0 for 2022.
ποΈThe possibilities we feel are endless. Metaverse, sandbox, golf nft game (hasnβt really been done), future series, passive income coin (if legality is cleared up).
πHope to welcome some new gators :) collection in description!
What is the biggest charity golf event that you have participated in and where did it take place?
4 days and 8 scramble rounds for me. It hosted just over 900 golfers and was in Bartlesville, OK
Played in a charity do yesterday.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd individual and team.
Team prizes were based on the best two stableford scores of the team.
Maximum handicap for ladies was 26 and menβs was 20.
Our best two stableford scores were me with 35 and a 6 handicapper with 41...he played really well.
We thought were in for a chance of team placing and individual placing....
Ahem....
First individual place was 50 points (lady) and the third and second equal team places were tied at 102 and the team winner was 107.
!!!!!!?????????
How is it actually possible to score 50 stableford points off, I presume, a 26 handicap?
This is the reason why I dislike these sorts of events.

I'm not gonna pretend like I know much about golf, but the consensus was Chuck wasn't as terrible as we thought he was (he had no more hitch in his swing!) and Steph played a lot more poorly than his reputation as a golfer.
Even description: The charity element of this weekβs event has a singular focus. It will highlight and support βdiversity, equality and inclusion through donations to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), while raising awareness and spotlighting opportunities for diversity and equality in sports,β according to an official press release.
I'm hoping this group can help me with a bit of a mental block!
I've been involved with running charity golf tournaments for a number of years - my family ran one for 30 years (I was in charge the final 10 years), and now for the past 8 years I've helped my in-laws with another one. These are grassroots, neighborhood fundraisers that help support local families - not a lot of corporate support. We keep our entry fees low and raise most of the money through raffles and contests. Lately I feel like I'm in a rut and can't think of new ideas, so I wanted to hear from all of you as to what you look forward to when you play in local tournaments. If it matters, the tournaments are always scramble format and the level of competition varies greatly. Everyone is there just to have a good time.
Other than the usual general raffles/long drive/closest to the pin/hole in ones, here are some of our past/current contests:
Poker: $20 buy-in. Pick up three cards when you register, then another card on each of the par 3s. If your tee shot sticks the green on any par 3, you get an additional card. Best 5-card hand at the end of the day wins 50% of the pot
Putting Contest: $5/putt, 3 for $10. Everyone who makes the putt is entered into a raffle for a big prize
Big Ticket Raffles (TVs, grills, etc.): Placed on a par 3 - $5 per ticket. Stick the green, get an additional ticket.
Putting Strings: $10 for a mystery string in an envelope (usually between 10-15 feet long). Use it on a long putt to your ball that much closer to the hole. (Really helpful for long eagle putts on par 5s).
Mulligans: $5 each - that's it.
Pay-to-Play: Done on a challenging par 3. You owe $1 for a tee shot in the rough, $3 for one in the bunker, and $5 for one in the water. Anyone that paid was entered into a raffle for a bigger prize.
Please feel free to comment any contests or fundraisers that you've found to be a fun way to raise money on the course!
The Match: Champions for Charity

Date - May 24, 2020
Broadcast Schedule
All times ET.
Sunday May 24, 3 pm ET.
Channels: TNT, TBS, truTV, HLN, HLN Canada, HLN International
I have never been to one of these events. There are some contests in the morning, golf for a couple hours, then a cocktail hour with dinner. Do I show up in nice clothes, or my golf attire? Do I bring an extra set of nice clothes for after golf? Do I bring my own tees and balls?
Kramer is caddy for Ted Turner and pitches "the news 24/7, you work 3rd shift and you wanna know what happened overnight. You gotta have the news!!" Turner tells him it is a stupid idea. Elaine is thrilled to be rubbing shoulders with celebrities, but inadvertently dressed like the waiters at the country club. Most of the players and guests believes she is part of the "help." Her beau hands her an empty glass not recognizing her.
Bania consistently cheats but he is the celebrity so Jerry can say nothing to get him disqualified.
George wants to make it on the broadcast. The camera narrowly misses him the entire match. End of the episode, George bends over to pick something up and rips his pants. Camera is front and center on George. Jerry: "Look, a hole in one."
