Ive had a cough for weeks and I’ve seen doctors, but I’m wondering if it’s environmental. Has anyone here had any negative reaction to being around chalk all day?

Using a throwaway for reasons which will become clear. For context, I’m a medical resident. That’s as much identifying information that I’m willing to provide, but my job is relevant to this story. The names in this story are not the real names of the people involved.
So - I’ve had a foot fetish for as long as I can remember. No idea where it started, I’ve just always looked at women and, if their feet were visible - like if they were wearing flip flops, I'd check them out. Not in a creepy, all-consuming way, just that I thought attractive feet added to a woman’s overall beauty.
Years ago when I was still in med school, I’d gone round to my cousin’s place one afternoon because we were going to see a movie that night. I got there around 3 but he wasn’t scheduled to get off work until 6, so he left a spare key out and I let myself in. I’d brought a bunch of schoolwork to keep myself occupied until he got home.
While I was there my aunt Kate came by to drop off some food and we started making small talk.
Now it’s important to interject here and let you know that my aunt is an attractive woman. Not like an ‘aunt’ that you’d see in porn but still attractive and at that time was in her early 40s. In addition, she has really attractive feet that are always pedicured with nail polish, etc. I've never thought of her as a person sexually, but she just has really attractive feet.
She asked how med school was going and what I was studying at the time. I mentioned that I was studying for an anatomy exam and, in particular, the musculoskeletal system. There was a bit more chit-chat and before she left, she wished me luck for the exam and said if there’s anything she could do to help, to let her know.
I don’t know why I did what I did next - chalk it up to being a horny early twenty-something - but I took her up on her offer. Well, this is a new one for me.
For background, when we originally accepted this guest's booking, the first few exchanges were normal, reasonable, boring. The usual back and forth of getting our most important questions answered. I booked him without issue because he didn't ask for anything ridiculous, and he seemed reasonable. He has 1 5 star review of the "great guest, would host again" type.
He booked over a month in advance. A day after booking, he sends me a message that says "You know, normally by now, a host would have sent instructions on how to get in". This is an issue because both our listing and our acceptance email say that one of us will be there to greet the guest at the door and show them around (this is a shared home, so we take them through all the public rooms and also point out the guest rooms, make introductions if another guest is around) and because the "normally by now, a host..." part really rubbed me the wrong way. But I responded cheerfully and said something like "as mentioned in our listing and in the acceptance email, one of us will be there to greet you. All you have to do is ring the doorbell" (and yes, there is an actual picture of our actual front door with a little arrow pointing at the doorbell letting people know to ring it because it is a black doorbell on black-painted door frame. Some people have had a hard time seeing it before).
I get several more "normally by now" messages that are all obnoxious. "Normally by now, a host has given me instructions on how to get to their home on public transit" My response: "As mentioned in our acceptance message, if you need direction on how to get to our place, you need to let us know how you're getting into the city and the approximate time, so we can best advise you

Xbox Dynasty is our first major source of information for the game, sharing that the game will have a $500 million USD budget! The article is referencing a podcast where game producer Ralf Adam is having a discussion and is asked specifically about the budget, to where he also confirms that the budget is only accounting for development costs - not including any marketing. This was apparently overheard at GDC, which he allegedly triple checked that it was true.
For comparison, Cyberpunk 2077 is officially the most expensive released video game at $173 million, however there are unconfirmed high budgets for other games. Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 comes in at an estimated 200-300 million, Grand Theft Auto V at $265 million, and Square Enix's disappointing Marvel's Avengers at $170 million. So, what does this mean for Infinite?
Nothing. This is all debunked by Frank O'Connor, saying how hearing something at GDC is about as reliable as the claim that your uncle works at Nintendo.

From the book Moonlit Bamboo Forest Vol. 3, we learn that there was an ancient calamity during the time of the three moon sisters long before the archons even existed. This is not to be confused with the cataclysm 500 years ago. It is this ancient calamity that Dainsleif is talking about when he refers to the original calamity.
When he says it was overturned, while we currently don't have much information to go on, it's safe to say that somehow the world was saved from it's destruction, or somehow that destruction was undone to some extent.
The island in the sky is an obvious reference to Celestia, and setting the earth to burn is an obvious reference to the cataclysm 500 years ago.
Chalk pursuing gold is a reference to Albedo who is following in the footsteps of his creator, the great alchemist Gold aka. Rhinedottir. It is literally his quest to follow in her footsteps, and he is also seeking her out. Rhinedottir's exact role in the cataclysm is unclear, but it is known that she is connected to it, and it is likely that Celestia's decision to attack had to do with Kheanre'ah's use of Khemia, aka. alchemy, which also is likely related to the abyss and the layline system.
The reason the time is inopportune could mean any number of things. It may be inopportune in that Rhinedottir is dead or otherwise unreachable. It may be because of the catacylsm, or it may be inopportune for celestia.
The eclipse being swallowed by the crimson moon is a reference to the Eclipse Dynasty, the rulers of Kheanre'ah, as a stand in for Kheanre'ah itself, being destroyed by the unknown god, who is referred to as the crimson moon.
The unknown god is one of the three moon sisters, along with the moon we see in the sky, and Paimon.
Either:
- The moon, the unknown god, and Paimon are three fragments of the same being
- The moon in the sky is the unknown god, while Paimon and some yet unknown entity are the two sisters the crumbled away
- or,

0. SUMMARY
On February 24th, a system-wide crash at the Fed disabled the movement and reporting of electronic cash flow for approximately 3.5 hours. During this time, financial institutions were unable to move money around and make payments using the National Settlement Service which clears settlements for the DTC. Suddenly, when the system came back online, "meme stocks" began going bonkers with massive volume spikes followed by swells of gains into after hours. We believe that due to systemwide delays to intraday settlement reporting, when the system came back online, it attempted to start settling naked shorts.
Even Ryan Cohen himself attempted to point out the problem with his legendary McDonald's Ice Cream cone tweet. Ken Griffin was quick to publicly blame RC's tweet for the sudden surge and provided a convenient red herring to distract from possible evidence of naked shorts, that if revealed to be true, would open up many more questions into his positions and the continued naked short selling of GameStop.
We've come to two distinct conclusions about what happened on February 24th:
- This was in fact an unexpected computer crash due to an "operational error". Maybe the reason Feb 24 was so batshit crazy at the end of the day was due to the computer coming back online, seeing naked short positions and starting going haywire on DTC Participants. This should provide enough evidence to warrant an audit of short sellers and market makers during the events of February 24th.
- **The computer suddenly recognized there was an irrational amount of DOOMPS that needed to be settled than physically possible on that date, and shut down due to computational error. Now short hedge funds are stuck kicking the can every 90 days. If this is the case, the DTC/Fed should be held responsible for market manipulation c
A while back I posted here looking for people who received Ketamine infusion treatments for bipolar 2. There were a few interested responses and a few people who had tried it, but I didn't get the big response I was hoping for. Mental Health Prior to Infusions
- Diagnoses: bipolar 2, OCD, general anxiety disorder, C-PTSD
- Symptoms: major depression, anxiety, random crying spells, intense OCD habits and rituals (counting, tapping, pacing, cleaning, organizing), suicidal thoughts, ruminating on negative things people said to me in the past, catastrophizing every situation, self-doubt, dread, not getting out of bed or not leaving the house, isolating completely from everyone, and more depending on various factors
- Current Meds: Lamotrigine (mood stabilizer for bipolar), Propranalol (as needed for anxiety), Trazadone (as needed for sleep apnea)
- Previous Meds: Modafinil (for low energy), Zoloft (antidepressant), microdosing Psilocybin from mushrooms (see microdosing spreadsheet for results)

1st Infusion: Thursday 11/4/21
IV Drip Contents (this stayed the same for each infusion unless otherwise noted):
- 112mg Ketamine
- Propofol (anesthetic for relaxation)
- Magnesium (amplifies effects of Ketamine)
- (Need to confirm if I’m missing anything)
Pre-Infusion:
- I was nervous and anxious. I did a lot of research and read what other people had experienced, some of which was “this was a life changing event for me” and some of which was “I felt better, but it didn’t last long-term.”
- I was afraid it wouldn’t work and I’d be back at square one, but I was also afraid it would work and I’d be faced with emotions I wasn’t prepared for.
- At the advice of the doctor, I planned to wear a sleeping eye mask and noise cancelling headphones. The playlist I chose was full of calm, instrumental, and atmospheric soundscape tracks. I would do this for every infusion.
Infusion:
- To my mind trying to make sense of what was happening, the experience felt like it was split into four parts over the course of the hour. They are outlined below.

Before my interview began, my interviewer told me the interview will be structured with regular questions and then rapid-fire questions after (he also briefly mentioned that he sent a late-night email because he was up playing video games. Honestly, could relate)
In one of the first regular questions, my interviewer asked me this:

The gist.....
A former friend (Dave, not real name) who I haven't had any contact with for almost 3 years just got in touch with me again. He claims he has a home emergency and needs to find a place for him/wife/3 kids to stay while the home situation gets fixed. This is the same guy who, when I was going through something traumatic, told me he can't be my friend because I'd be a bad influence to his kids being childfree.
A bit of background...
The reason for the friendship ending: I was in a high stress situation and very sad (my father dying was just one of the terrible things that happened in a span of 3 months)...I was looking for consolation and instead Dave told me that me being a CF woman was a bad influence on their family (had a wife + two kids then). In short, they didn't want to spend time around me as I wasn't worth it when they have more valuable friends.
This was someone I had known since graduate school and had spent a lot of time doing fun stuff with like rock climbing. Dave and I were among a group of mutual buddies that regularly rented out lakehouses or winter lodges for summer and winter sports activities. We're talking 10+ years. Then to just ditch me because he thought I wasn't useful... hurt a lot especially when I was dealing with some really sad stuff. Even more so because I was there for him when he found out his mom had cancer and then was there for him at his mom's funeral.
Like I said, I haven't spoken or texted him in almost 3 years. I chalked it up to people getting really weird when they have kids. That they fall into a traditional conservative mindset that anyone who isn't wanting or working toward a leave-it-to-beaver/2.5 kids situation is somehow suspect.
Then today I see a text pop up on my phone from Dave. I never erased or blocked his number from my phone so his name was still saved.

My wife and I always accepted, loved, and encouraged him. We pushed him to work hard and treat people with respect. I don’t know where exactly we failed him but as a father I feel responsible for the thing he’s turned into.
It started when he was 14. He had began to become withdrawn and emotional. We chalked it up to teenaged mood swings. For some reason he was just so angsty and bitter all the time. We were worried about his lack of social life and his over-reliance on his computer. He kind of hid himself in the online world so my wife and I began to limit his computer time, but he simply became more aggressive and confrontational.
His hygiene was bad, and he was always confrontational when we told him to shower or do laundry. His room stank horribly and we eventually had a huge fight over it where he physically shoved my wife and called her a bitch, and eventually we got him to at least clean and air out his room regularly on the grounds that it was our house and if he couldn’t maintain his space he wouldn’t be entitled to it - essentially we got to the point where we told him he wouldn’t be allowed his worldly possessions or privacy unless he took care of the space we all shared. the room still smelled and he was still rude about cleaning it but we could tell him to get it clean and he would do it after that.
We ended up getting a call from his school saying that a female student felt harassed by him. We were shown messages where he continually badgered her to have sex with him, threatened to “punish” her for stringing him along, sending her unsolicited nudes, telling her some violent fantasies of his, and eventually just descending into some horrid rage-filled rant about how she is just another “whore” and other things.
We were shocked. We explained to him why this behaviour was unacceptable, and I explained to him that it was ok to be sexually active but his actions were toxic and abusive.
I tried mentoring him man-to-man, taking him on camping trips and whatnot and talking to him about women and girls and trying to give him advice. I suggested he try showering, changing up his hair and facial hair styles, trying out different fashion styles, maybe going to the gym.

The trip back to Jadesport was relatively easy.
There'd been a bit of a hassle at the outset. Several of the soldiers set to accompany them had developed some stomach issues after having breakfast. Replacements had to be pulled from a different section of the camp forces and the guard rotations had to be adjusted as a result. General Sigbert had ordered that all the food stores be checked and that the cooks would be the ones responsible for the proper disposal of anything that had gone bad, and that he'd be punishing them further when he returned.
After that small hiccup had been sorted the band of travelers took off. There were ten soldiers running escort. Two per carriage, with the remaining four acting as rotating perimeter scouts on their horses. Veliry's carriage took up position in the front of the small caravan, and James and Artair brought up the rear. Their drakes acted as a sort of "motivating" factor for the horses ahead of them.
Sigbert rode on a massive Clydesdale horse, or at least James thought it was a Clydesdale (it had sharpened predatory teeth that scared him a little), in between the two drakes. His "horse", as James began to think of it, seemed completely undisturbed by the two massive lizards. If anything Xhalya seemed to want to stay away from it. But the creature payed her no heed, simply trotting along with the massive General atop it.
James hadn't had much interaction with Sigbert at the camp. His longest conversation with the massive General had been when he'd told him that he couldn't do anything about the blight. So he had very little frame of reference for the man, other than that he was Amina and Artair's uncle on their mother's side.
Sigbert was boisterously loud, often guffawing at his own jokes or yelling out loud exclamations about anything and everything. James got the sense that he was likely the "Crazy Uncle" of the family. He also got the notion that two days would be about all he could handle of the General. Any more than that and he might have to stuff some cotton balls in his ears. The company is moving toward Web 3.0 and is becoming more of a tech company then just a regular gambling company.
How does the price explode, short covering + short covering on dark pools, options gamma squeeze after breakout, Algos forced to de-basket DKNG from short high growth stock basket related to ARKK and macro event driven Algos (interest rates, j-pow tapering and money printer slowing down)

This is just a rant. I’m so freaking over the pushy baby-led-weaning police I could scream. I’ve seen it online for years but today I got mom-shamed in person, and y’all I am MAD.
We had a Christmas Eve lunch today with family. I have some relatives with similar-age kids to me (I have a 6 year old and a 7 month old). I brought some of my baby’s current favorite food to the lunch, which is garlic mashed potatoes and some puréed vegetable soup. Halfway through the lunch, baby was hungry, so I pulled out her little baby spoon, sat her on my lap, and hand-fed her using the spoon, like we always do.
I got an EARFUL from said relative for “force-feeding” my baby. She looked at me with the most judgmental expression ever and said “spoon feeding can cause picky eating… and it doesn’t let the baby have any autonomy… I just think that force-feeding is not the right way to start off their relationship with food…” and on and on.
If you like BLW, great! I think it’s great. I do. But I’ve researched all the supposed benefits and I’m just not convinced that ANY enjoyable, relaxed approach to eating isn’t just as beneficial. If someone else wants to do it, I really don’t care. But I don’t want to do it. I don’t like baby-led weaning. I don’t think spoons are the tools of Satan. I don’t think they cause eating problems. And spoon-feeding your baby is NOT “force feeding,” for god’s sake!
If she turns her head away, I put the spoon down. If she reaches for it and wants to do it herself, I let her practice. If she reaches out her adorable pudgy hand to try to plunge it into the mashed potatoes and fling them all the way to Timbuktu, I gently take her little dumpling hand and keep it away from the food, because the last thing I need is to clean mashed potatoes out of her little inquisitive eyebrows. It’s just not that complicated. I’m not shoving it down her throat!
And you know what?? I LIKE spoon feeding my baby. I like the intimacy of it. It reminds me of the intimacy of breastfeeding. It’s a gentle, reciprocal, lovely bonding experience. I ENJOY it. My baby ENJOYS being fed by my hand. I like that I don’t have to clean up a gunky mess every meal. I like that I don’t have to add yet another stressful wipe-down into my day. And she eats what we’re eating, it’s really not that complicated. I just make softened portions of our meal and gently spoon feed them to her between bites of my own food.
And you know what else? I just don’t need the stress of cleaning it up. Baby
... keep reading on reddit ➡I see a lot of comments from fans of the show admonishing any negative comment or thread as people "hating on the show." I do not believe that is the case. Here's what I'm seeing.
- Nitpicking - An example of this is someone saying, "How does Jamie work in Helena but his farm is in (*insert far away Montana town*? That would be a 3hr commute every day!" While a statement like this may be true, it doesn't detract from the experience of the show. We can chalk that up to, "it's a tv show"
- Legit, Plot-related, Criticism - An example of this is someone saying, "Beth has shown zero character progression. Her actions never have any realistic consequences." This is fair criticism for the show. It actually does detract from the viewing experience in the world that the writers have created. The fun thing is that its still an opinion, so meaningful dialog can be had even if you disagree.
- Hate - I honestly haven't seen much of this on this sub. An example would be someone saying, "Kayce's hair looks stupid!". It's one person's opinion and has no impact on the plot or viewing experience.
Yellowstone fans should understand that as a show's popularity increases, so does potential criticism. The higher quality a show, the higher the bar we set for the writing and plot.
I don't understand why people make their fandom of a show their identity and get upset when others have contrary opinions about it. I've seen this happen with Lost, Game of Thrones, and Star Wars. They all have huge followings, the quality starts to drop, people complain, the die-hards are in denial, and the end everyone (even diehards) admits the falloff.
I hope the writers can turn things around for season 5. I remain optimistic. In the meantime I'm enjoying the dialog on the sub.
Darkest Dungeon II Experimental Branch - 0.11.30447 - Torch and Trophy PLAYER PROFILES
Before we get to the main new features we added for gameplay, we also wanted to add the ability for players to have multiple profiles on their machines. Now when you boot up the game for the first time, you will be asked to create a profile by entering a name, selecting what language you want to play in, as well as taking a moment to opt-in to our data collection, before you hit the main menu. If you already have a profile and have been playing since release, no worries! We will convert your existing profile and save to the new structure and you can keep on going where you left off. Want a friend or roommate to try the game out, but don’t want them to tank your run? You can now have up to 10 profiles on a single install of the game, each with their own runs.
- IN GAME PATCH NOTES :
We’ve added in-game patch notes! From now on, all patches, hot-fixes, and updates will have their contents documented in the client for the duration of early access. The feature is still in its nascent stages but we hope to continue to add small quality of life improvements to help us better communicate the changes that happen to Darkest Dungeon II throughout it’s life in early access. To start you can see an icon and know that this change or fix came as a result of actioning some of the amazing feedback we’ve been able to collect on our Discord, web boards, or our in-game feedback tool! - TROPHY SYSTEM / MOUNTAIN ENTRY :
Starting with this patch, you must mount a TROPHY on your Stagecoach in order to enter the Mountain. TROPHIES can only be obtained by slaying a Region Boss. Remember that Region Bosses live in LAIRS. To help you hunt down the bosses, all LAIRS will now be scouted by default, which means they’ll always be revealed on the map. The choice of whether to attempt to slay a boss early in the expedition or later on is up to you. But you must successfully slay at least one boss in order to tackle the Mountain and win the run. Each boss has two different trophies that they can drop. These trophies can dramatically affect your heroes or the Stagecoach. We won’t spoil them here! So here's the deal, this will probably be much longer than I anticipate but I have to get this off my chest. I've been carrying this "secret" for too long and I'm afraid the only community who may even remotely understand this, will be this one. And I know some of you might enjoy some lesbian drama. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this. I am not looking for advice, just seeking support and someone to relate.
First, some background,
I (26F) met my best friend "C" (23F) at a former workplace that we were both employed at. To be clear, I identify as a lesbian. "C" is straight and is in a committed relationship with man of three years. So, I had been working there for 2.5 years already before she was hired by the end of 2019. We were the only two females in a department made of 20, so naturally we graduated towards each other and became friendly. Ironically enough, a few weeks after she started the job, I was looking for a new place to live and found an apartment that happened to be directly across the street from her. Although we worked opposite shift times (First Shift Vs. Second Shift) we both had weekends off. We didn't start hanging out right away, she worked there for an entire year before we actually ever hung out outside of work. Prior to that it was sending memes to each other and having inside jokes, you know the norm. But it should have been the night of my birthday that I knew our "friendship" was going to be trouble.
I don't remember who came up with the idea to go to the beach bars for my birthday. I remember briefly joking about hanging out, but I didn't think she SERIOUSLY wanted to hang out with me for my birthday. We were friends, but I'm very introverted, kind of shy and dorky, and she's definitely intimidatingly stunning and extroverted. I mean, she could wear a trash bag and make it look good. Shes just a very naturally good-looking gal, and she's super sweet and bubbly. So, I was caught off guard that she was serious. Not to mention that I don't really have friends my age anyways (i'm an old soul and an empath) so I was like oh god, someone my age wants to hangout with me? The follow up game to 2015's Halo 5: Guardians was always going to be massive. While 343 Industries let down many fans who adore the story these games have offered, the general consensus is that the game's online component was a near must-play experience.
So, where does this journey take us? An interesting toy leak, some "leaked" screenshots, and rumours of a shadow launch dominate the pre-release this time round.

Xbox Dynasty is our first major source of information for the game, sharing that the game will have a $500 million USD budget! The article is referencing a podcast where game producer Ralf Adam is having a discussion and is asked specifically about the budget, to where he also confirms that the budget is only accounting for development costs - not including any marketing. This was apparently overheard at GDC, which he allegedly triple checked that it was true.
For comparison, Cyberpunk 2077 is officially the most expensive released video game at $173 million, however there are unconfirmed high budgets for other games. Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 comes in at an estimated 200-300 million, Grand Theft Auto V at $265 million, and Square Enix's disappointing Marvel's Avengers at $170 million. So, what does this mean for Infinite?
Nothing. This is all debunked by Frank O'Connor, saying how hearing something at GDC is about as reliable as the claim that your uncle works at Nintendo.
