The context here would be a PC or raspberry pi setup connected directly to a modern 4K HD television via HDMI, passing video and audio to the television that way, and then the television passing the audio back to a stereo audio receiver either by way of the audio return channel function over HDMI, or in the alternative, an analog signal out (via the βheadphone jackβ) from the television back to the same receiver.
Just wondering if anyone knows if in theory the ARC option should be lag free similar to using the analog cable, or if thereβs a possibility that simply by using that option it might add some extra audio latency for processing a digital signal.
This is emulation related in the sense that I am asking this question because of concerns related to emulation, but I know itβs more of a generic audio or tech question, but I couldnβt decide which subReddit it was the best fit for.
I'm just wondering if it could fix this problem.
I can't play contractors because when you are low HP there is a low heartbeat sound that makes my screen go black. It occurs even whith the volume at 70% and it's pointless to play if I can't hear anything.
It's not too bad in other games as long as I keep the volume at 80%.
I know it's because the bass is drawing too much power BUT maybe they increased wire gauge or something?
I'll have my new cable in two days anyway but I'm way too impatient to wait for the answer :D
