Do you really think, a minister has the authority to sign papers for Engineering or accountancy or some technical field? It is always someone who has spent years studying, taking loans, travelling on buses. That person is inclined to always earn money fast. Politicians are like influencers, they are the scapegoats we point at and curse. But we never can curse the humble, educated, loksewa giving bureaucrats because god forbid if you question their judgement. LOKSEWA PASS GARERA PO AKO HOTA MUJI.
Not all bureaucrats are corrupt, some are. But all bureaucrats are inefficient. Inefficiency is as bad as corruption. There is so much bloating and redundancy. You want to change this country, you have to literally overhaul the Bureaucracy, their jobs are too secure. No incentive to work. Even if they reject every file at their office, they will get paid.
I am basically tired of people feeling like they done some shit, I have asked so many of my Uncles and Aunts what they accomplished in their government service and they have jack shit to convince me. A politician can be deposed in 5 years, these people can't be unless you have concrete evidence of wrongdoing, even then, the system will support in helping them survive.
If you want change, change bureaucratic service delivery, corruption will decrease from such an approach. Corruption alone is not the issue, its the inefficiency and bloating. What matters is quality of service we receive, I could really not bat an eye if they skim some profits off the top if the quality of service is top notch.

Estonia is in the process of passing laws that will outlaw defi as well as holding any crypto in your personal wallet, including BTC.
As per the latest regulations proposed by them, only coins held in a VASP (Virtual Asset Service Provider) can be allowed, and VASPs are not allowed to enable users to withdraw coins to non-custodial wallets. This law classifies all crypto entities as VASP, and then prevents them from facilitating transfers to personal crypto wallets.
This bill is scheduled to come into effect from Feb 1st 2022. Under this law, exchanges can no longer allow withdrawals into your personal wallets, as opening of anonymous accounts is all going to be prohibited, and anyone who engages in this or facilitates such services will become liable under provisions of AML.
These laws are the result of FATF guidance which are seeking to outlaw crypto as we know it today. Most wallet to wallet transfers will be prohibited and crypto can only be held in VASP i.e custodial wallets.
Under the garb of "preventing risk", they are trying to prohibit all crypto activities.
FATF are whispering in every government's ear and whats coming out of this organisation is not positive for crypto. It is feared that the same kind of laws will be enforced across Europe soon, as most European countries are also members of FATF.

To preface this, I BARELY play this game so have very little knowledge of how any of it works. Iโm also playing it not optimally, and want to core as much of the empire as possible because why not. ANYWAY, why are my states absurdly more expensive after I get enough bureaucrats? Is this a glitch or a part of the game I am not aware of? Also I am not using mods, pure vanilla.
Even compared to, say, Bormannite Germany being a textbook case of Orthodox Nazism being unsustainable in the long run, a "Status Quo" or "Reform Bureaucrat" Japan is ultimately set up to fail in the long run. Part of the reason why can be found in one word: demographics. Let me me explain.
It's not often brought up or discussed, but it's revealed that by the early '60s, the Yokusankai had implemented birth control policies comparable to the OTL People's Republic of China in an effort to stem the post-WW2 population boom, including a Japanese equivalent of the One Child Policy. Anyone familiar with those, would know in hindsight how much they're a REALLY GOOD IDEA due to how these have, in China's situation IRL, resulted in skewered social and gender dynamics, crippled birth rates, and a long-term demographic decline that the country's economy and welfare system are woefully inadequate to compensate. It makes real-life Japan's own demographic issues look outright benign by comparison.
In TNO, Japan is ironically shown going down the same path, with even Shidzue Kato (who OTL was not only one of the pioneers of modern Japanese feminism but also for Japan's birth control policies) being horrified by the measures taken, which are only the beginning of a long trauma conga line that would cripple the Japanese for generations to come.
This isn't to say that it's inevitable. Takagi, notably, can implement birth control reforms that effectively put an end to the Yokusankai's measures early enough before the damage could really be felt. A more "reformist" Reform Bureaucrat, perhaps with Kishi's backing, could also drop the One Child Policy antics potentially with, albeit at the expense of reducing women to little more than breeders. While the Junshin would similarly drop them if only due to their association with the previous regime's perceived incompetence, even if it could mean setting social norms back to the Victorian era.
Even if Japan "wins" the Cold War, if demographics is left unaddressed, it'll turn into a ticking time bomb that would make that victory be all for nothing.

Under normal circumstances, Satuz T'vonee was very mild-mannered for a Dilna.
