A list of puns related to "British Poultry Standard"
a. If so, is additional qualifying language necessary? What qualifying terms or phrases would be appropriate?
b. Do these names, with or without qualifying language, clearly distinguish foods comprised of or containing cultured animal cells from slaughtered products?
a. Under what circumstances should these terms be used?
b. What information would these terms convey to consumers?
Is there anything that happens somewhat regularly in America as an accepted thing to do that would be totally alien in the UK?
For me it's their relaxed attitude to just randomly moving sports teams to another city at the will of the owners (if we agree MK Dons do not exist that is).
A mathema-chicken
Victoria Station in London last night. Watched a bewildered young French couple nonchalantly jump the taxi rank queue...and get verbally torn apart by an entire line of patiently irate Brits. Iβve never seen so much confusion, shock, and fury all at once.
Some choice words:
βHave you two lost your minds?!β
βWhat the bloody hell are you doing?!β
βYou can piss right off!β
βThis is madness!β
But the best line was from a plummy gent in his mid-60s or so, who spoke as if the couple had just committed murder:
βYou have to wonder what kind of parents these people had growing up.β
Crikey! But God it was enjoyable to watch standards maintained.
In Germany, their health service pays people to give blood. That seems nuts here. All we ever get is a biscuit.
Me and a group of long known friends started our first dnd campaign and due to how incessant I am on making my own stuff, we decided I'd dm a homebrew world, with homebrew systems thrown in here and there. I'm levelling characters up at specific times, in order to help me out with enemy balancing, the party is currently at level 5.
Our only friend that was already playing dnd before this campaign, had to leave for undisclosed personal reasons. So we're looking for a new player, but will probably enjoy having another 1 or 2 alongside them.
Due to the way I homebrewed a lot of my systems to accommodate what my players and I enjoyed, players with experience may be confused by the differences between this and normal 5e. This may also give new players the wrong idea of what 5e is like. I just want to make sure no-one joins without all the info.
Though tbf seeing as I have no previous experience with dnd, anything I do could be completely within homebrewed norms.
Homebrew World: Inspired by Dragon Age and Runeterra. The campaign is set in Lasdim, which is split into 1 general area (The Freeways of Lasdim) and 7 Saint led areas: Naxim, Kaance, Altoro, Leahdraff, Rixterre, Driftveil and Taru. I don't want to spoil too much so I'll leave it at that.
Homebrew Systems: Weapon Levelling, Approval Ratings, Stealth Encounters, Custom made One-Shots for each characters story and Custom Enemies.
Thanks for reading to the end! If you're interested just dm me here or on my discord: DodogamusGhaul#3480.
Edit: Did not expect this response, so I'm just gonna close apps now thx everyone!!!!!
It was a chicken coup.
Hey, looking for running a DnD game with new people.
Game Time: I will try to run the game in a 4 hour slot sometime 8pm-2am(BST) Friday or 12noon-2am(BST) Saturday at least twice a month. The exact time of each next session will be planned at the end of each session according to when works best for everyone
Game Format: The game will be broken between open world more improvised session in a central city where you character will have down time and more linear 'dungeon' crawls where your characters will be doing more active plot involved things. This will be run on roll20.
Game Tone: I am not going for a specific tone but I welcome jokes but I will generally throw back what ever tone I get from players. I let dramatic moments be dramatic, sad moments sad and funny moments funny. Combat will aimed to be challenging enough to make victories feel earned but people shouldn't die unless they mess up. Boss style encounters will have both challenge and risk of death will be raised.
Game Premise: There has been a rise in dragon activity and wildlife is becoming more draconic. The players will form a group to find out why this is happening.
DM Info: I have been DM for over 8 years, my past players have most enjoyed my combat encounters, rewarding of creative use of abilities, custom player rewards (both items and feat like rewards) and handling of down time.
Content: All player classes and races from official 5e books is allowed and I share access to my 5e books on roll 20 so everything should be available for the charactermancer to make things easier
Interested?: if you are interested post below with this info

>Herbert Spencer was a philosopheΒr alive at the same time as Darwin. He published his famous book Social Static just a few years before Darwin brought out Origin. And he too thought that all social safety nets and aid for the poor should be scrapped. He supported whatβs called βlaissez faire,β where you have a small government that doesnβt do a lot of regulationΒs or interferenΒce cause they'll only end up messing it up! GovernmentΒ, he says, is a necessary Βevil at best! And Spencer was very influenced by Malthus. HΒe kept a lot of the stuff about hard work being what you're here to do and the brutality all being part of a grander plan but he wasn't a Christian and he cut out all the religious stuff: "The poverty of the incapable, the distressesΒ that come upon the imprudent, the starvation of the idle, and those shoulderinΒgs aside of the weak by the strong... are the decrees of a large, far-seeing benevolencΒe." So by the time we get to Spencer this idea that hard work is your lot in life has been seculariseΒd. With Malthus you have a miserable life of toil but maybe you get to go to Heaven afterwardsΒ. With Spencer... "Nah, you have a miserable life of toil but markets and competitioΒn and wars are ultimately good for society.β

Sir Geoffrey Cox is tonight being referred to the standards commissioner by Labour after he appeared to use his Commons office to represent the British Virgin Islands in a corruption case against the UK government.
It emerged yesterday Cox had voted by proxy while working in the BVI. But footage from September 14 appears to show him joining a hearing remotely from Portcullis House. This could be a breach of the rules around the use of Commons facilities - which Owen Paterson also broke
Annual estimated cost is Β£403 higher than the annual Standard Variable tariff, but "with so much uncertainty in the global energy market... while it may appear cheaper now, that is likely to change in the near future"
