Why is it so difficult to find Uruguay national football jersey outside of Brazil and Uruguay, let alone other South American countries? Is it because no one really cares about the Uruguay national football team besides Uruguayans?
For a tiny country that's been overshadowed by 1st tier world football's giants (Brazil, Germany, Spain, France) - it really seems apparent that there aren't too many fans of Uruguay around the world - despite its most recent successes:
- Highest position for a South American nation in the World Cup 2010 as semi finalists.
- Winner of the Copa America 2011
- 7th in World Fifa Rankings
- 2nd place in 2011 Fifa U 17 World Cup
- 2nd place in 2013 Fifa u-20 world cup
- 4th place in 2017 Fifa u-20 world cup
- Quarter finalists in 2018 World Cup. Once again highest position for a South American nation.

Living in Singapore, understandably there's not much appreciation (with World Cup Qualifying history) but I think I'm the only neutral person I've seen in a long time wearing a Uruguay jersey. Uruguay is also the nation on that list with the most Copa America wins. Furthermore, on a list with every country in the world, Uruguay have the most official football titles (as in WC + Olympics + Copa America) which obviously isn't the most World Cups, but I think it is still quite impressive.
